  • Braves' Drake Baldwin: No timeline for return

Baldwin (oblique) doesn't yet have a timeline for his return, MLB.com reports. The star catcher landed on the IL on May 19 with a Grade 1 oblique strain, the mildest category, but the best-case scenario still likely has him out until mid-June. Until Baldwin resumes baseball activities, though, a clear target date for his return won't be available.

  • Braves' Drake Baldwin: Lands on IL with oblique strain

Atlanta placed Baldwin on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right oblique strain. Baldwin evidently suffered the injury during Monday's loss to the Marlins. It's unclear what the severity of the strain is, but oblique injuries often result in a longer-than-minimum stay on the IL. With Sean Murphy (finger) also sidelined, Atlanta will use Sandy Leon and Chadwick Tromp as its catching duo.

Baldwin went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 7-2 win over the Dodgers. This was Baldwin's 10th homer of the season, three of which have come in May.
