Young (shoulder) is starting in center field and batting ninth Tuesday against Atlanta.

Young suffered the shoulder injury on a collision with the outfield wall Saturday and sat out Sunday's series finale versus the Orioles, but he's back in the lineup after Tuesday's team off day. The 25-year-old has yet to provide much offense this year with a .591 OPS through 41 games.

McMahon is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Phillies.

The Phillies are sending tough left-hander Jesus Luzardo to the bump, so the left-handed-hitting McMahon will receive a rare day off. Aaron Schunk is at third base and hitting ninth for the Rockies.

Civale (hamstring) is scheduled to make the third start of his rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Nashville, MLB.com reports.

Civale has looked sharp in both of his first two rehab outings with Nashville and looked to be a candidate to return from the 15-day injured list this week after tossing five scoreless frames and 60 pitches in his most recent Triple-A start last Wednesday. The Brewers ultimately decided to have Civale get stretched out a little more at Triple-A, but if Tuesday's start goes smoothly, he should rejoin the big club early next week. Civale was healthy heading into Opening Day but made just one start before landing on the IL on March 31 due to a left hamstring strain.

The Brewers are expected to promote Rodriguez from Triple-A Nashville later this week to make a start during the club's four-game series in Pittsburgh that begins Thursday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Milwaukee optioned Tobias Myers to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday, and neither Aaron Civale (hamstring) nor Jose Quintana (shoulder) are expected to be activated from the injured list until next week, so Rodriguez looks on track to fill the open spot in the big-league rotation. Rodriguez reached the majors for the first time in 2024 and labored over his three starts with the Brewers, submitting a 7.30 ERA and 1.78 WHIP across 12.1 innings. However, the 23-year-old righty has been excellent through his nine starts with Nashville this season (1.99 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 49:15 K:BB in 45.1 innings), and his presence on the 40-man roster looks like it will play a factor in him getting a call-up over right-hander Jacob Misiorowski.

Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Monday.

Ohtani hit the first of back-to-back solo homers with Mookie Betts in the sixth inning, going 389 feet to left field. The long ball was Ohtani's 17th of the campaign, pushing him back ahead of Kyle Schwarber -- who went deep earlier in the day -- for the MLB lead. Ohtani is in the midst of a big month of May, slashing .352/.427/.859 with 10 home runs, 21 RBI, 19 runs and a stolen base through 17 games this month.

Dreyer (2-2) tossed two innings in a loss against Arizona on Monday, allowing three runs on three hits and one walk while striking out one batter.

Dreyer worked as an opener in front of Landon Knack and fell behind quickly, giving up two runs in the first frame. Those runs weren't entirely his fault -- Hyeseong Kim lost sight of a very catchable flyball in center field that dropped for a gift double -- but Dreyer gave up another run in the third and had his streak of five straight scoreless outings snapped. Dreyer has made three starts as an opener this season along with coming out of the bullpen 16 times, and overall he has a 3.38 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 30:12 K:BB over 26.2 innings.

Sauer surrendered two earned runs on two hits and no walks while striking out one batter over two innings of relief in Monday's 9-5 loss to the Diamondbacks.

After making a four-inning start in his previous appearance for the Dodgers on Thursday against the Athletics, Sauer shifted back to the bullpen after Los Angeles added Clayton Kershaw to its rotation over the weekend. The Dodgers still went without a traditional starter in Monday's game, as Jack Dreyer covered the first two frames before Landon Knack tossed the next five innings. Sauer then came on to finish out the contest, but Knack looks like he'll be prioritized in bulk relief ahead of Sauer the next time the fifth spot in the Los Angeles rotation comes up.

Rogers (2-2) took the loss in Monday's 3-1 defeat to the Royals, allowing two earned runs on two hits (one home run) over one inning.

The right-hander entered a scoreless game in the eighth inning, surrendering a double and a two-run homer. Rogers threw 15 of his 20 pitches for strikes but saw his scoreless streak end at five appearances. He now owns a 2.01 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and an 18:3 K:BB with nine holds and a blown save across 22.1 innings in 23 appearances.

Burrows has a 1.02 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 28:4 K:BB in 17.2 innings over four appearances this month for Triple-A Indianapolis.

The high point of this stretch for the 25-year-old righty was racking up 11 strikeouts over 4.2 scoreless innings against Columbus on May 11, but he's been consistently stingy since giving up three runs in back-to-back 4.1-inning outings to close April. Burrows has been sitting 94-95 mph with his fastball with good movement and leaning on his nasty 86-mph changeup for whiffs. He also mixes in an upper-70s curveball and seldom-thrown slider. Burrows appears ready for a shot in the big-league rotation, although the same can be said of top prospect and teammate Bubba Chandler.

Triple-A Jacksonville placed De Los Santos on the 7-day injured list Saturday with a left quad strain, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.

Given De Los Santos' defensive shortcomings, he wasn't necessarily pushing for a promotion prior to the injury, as he was slashing .250/.317/.399 with five home runs and a 30.5 percent strikeout rate through 40 games in a repeat of Triple-A. He has started 30 games at first base and five games at third base. All three of the players (Eric Wagaman, Matt Mervis, Jonah Bride) to get time at first base for Miami have been below replacement level, per FanGraphs, so De Los Santos will likely still get a shot sometime in the second half.
