The Padres recalled Hart from Triple-A El Paso to start Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Hart will fill Michael King's (shoulder) spot in San Diego's rotation after King was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday. Hart made the Padres' Opening Day rotation, but he was demoted to Triple-A after logging a 6.00 ERA in five starts. The 32-year-old has made three starts at El Paso, tallying a 3.07 ERA and 12:12 K:BB over 14.2 innings. Omar Cruz was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Conforto is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

Conforto went 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo homer Tuesday in Cleveland but will sit Wednesday against southpaw Kolby Allard. The veteran outfielder has yet to get on track at the plate in 2025 and has a .172/.312/.287 slash line and 28.6 percent strikeout rate through 189 plate appearances.

Hoskins is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Red Sox.

Hoskins has hit a bit of a cold stretch of late with just one hit and eight strikeouts in his past 13 at-bats, so he'll head to the bench Wednesday after a run of 32 consecutive starts. Jake Bauers will step in at first base and bat eighth against Boston righty Brayan Bello.

Bailey is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Bailey started the first two games of the series and will rest Wednesday while in the midst of a 2-for-18 slump. Sam Huff will bat eighth and do the catching for righty Landen Roupp.

Fitzgerald is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Fitzgerald will receive a day to reset after going 4-for-27 with a 31 percent strikeout rate while starting the previous eight games. Christian Koss will step in at the keystone and bat ninth versus Detroit righty Jackson Jobe in the series finale.

Alvarez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

Alvarez went 2-for-5 with a walk and a hit-by-pitch in the first two games of the series and will take a seat for Wednesday's finale. Luis Torrens will step in behind the plate to catch for righty Griffin Canning.

Young went 2-for-3 with a double and a two-run home run in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the White Sox.

The 29-year-old launched the second of two first-inning homers by the Mets off Jonathan Cannon, after Pete Alonso had gotten the team on the board. Young collected his first hits and first long ball of the season in the process, as well as his first homer in the majors since September 2023. He's started four straight games at DH since being called up Saturday, although in every contest he was pinch hit for against a left-handed pitcher. With Jesse Winker (oblique) not expected back until mid-June at the earliest, Young should maintain his strong-side platoon role for at least the next few weeks.

Garrett walked one and struck out three over 1.2 scoreless innings to record his second save of the season in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the White Sox.

Edwin Diaz worked the night before and had pitched in three of the Mets' prior four games, so Garrett got the call again in a save situation and got the job done. Should Diaz be out of the picture for any length of time, Garrett seems set as the next man up in the ninth inning for the Mets, and through 23.2 innings this season he's delivered a dazzling 0.76 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 26:13 K:BB while collecting a win and 11 holds.

Megill (4-4) picked up the win Tuesday, giving up two runs on four hits and four walks over 5.2 innings in a 6-4 victory over the White Sox. He struck out six.

The right-hander ran out of gas in the sixth inning, loading the bases on a single and two walks before getting the hook after 100 pitches (64 strikes), but Jose Butto got out of the jam without adding any runs to Megill's ledger. While he fell short of his second quality start of the season, Megill did collect his first win since April 21, snapping a five-start winless streak that had seen him stumble to a 6.17 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 36:12 K:BB over 23.1 innings. The 29-year-old lines up for a tough test in his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road early next week against the Dodgers.

Bart was removed from Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks after being hit in the head with a backswing, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Interim manager Don Kelly said after the game that Bart is still being evaluated, so it's unclear if he's suffered a concussion. Regardless, the 28-year-old seems likely to sit out Wednesday afternoon's series finale in Arizona after starting the first two games of the series.
