Atlanta recalled Elder from Triple-A Gwinnett to start Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

The right-hander will fill the rotation spot vacated by AJ Smith-Shawver, who will miss the rest of the season due to a torn UCL in his right elbow. Elder has been serviceable in his eight starts for Atlanta this season with a 4.50 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 33:13 K:BB across 44 innings, and he should get an extended look in the rotation.

Nelson allowed two hits and struck out one over four relief innings in Saturday's 11-7 loss to Washington.

The right-hander helped bail out the bullpen after starter Brandon Pfaadt was removed without recording an out. Nelson, who has been filling in for injured starter Eduardo Rodriguez (shoulder), said he learned Friday that he would return to the bullpen, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports. He was lined up to start Tuesday but now appears to have higher-leverage opportunities on the horizon, per Weiner.

Yelich went 4-for-6 with a run and an RBI in Saturday's 17-7 win over the Phillies.

After walloping two home runs in Friday's series opener, Yelich took a more contact-based approach Saturday as the Brewers finished with a season-high 23 hits. Though his .737 OPS on the season represents a 173-point drop from the 2024 regular season, Yelich has been running hot at the plate lately. He's in the midst of an eight-game hitting streak and is slashing .472/.513/.917 with five home runs, two stolen bases, 13 RBI and 10 runs during that stretch.

Grichuk went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 11-7 loss to the Nationals.

Grichuk was in the lineup versus a right-handed pitcher for just the second time this season, getting the start in left field. His homer also came off a righty, as he took reliever Jackson Rutledge deep in the sixth inning. Grichuk is up to three homers this season, two of which have come over his last five games. He's batting .275 with 11 RBI, 13 runs scored, nine doubles and no stolen bases over 86 plate appearances on the year, while mainly working in a short-side platoon between the corner outfield and designated hitter.

Naylor went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double and a second run scored in Saturday's 11-7 loss to the Nationals.

Naylor has hit safely in nine straight games, and this was his fourth consecutive multi-hit effort. During the hitting streak, he has gone 13-for-37 (.351) with five extra-base hits and eight RBI. The strong stretch has Naylor back up to batting .301 with an .827 OPS, seven homers, 37 RBI, 30 runs scored, 14 doubles, one triple and nine stolen bases across 57 contests this season.

Pfaadt (7-4) failed to record an out while taking the loss Saturday versus the Nationals, allowing eight runs on six hits and two hit batsmen.

Four of the six hits were doubles, which allowed the Nationals to keep the line moving during Pfaadt's brief outing. Scott McGough was unable to stop the bleeding immediately, and the Diamondbacks were down 10-0 before sending a batter to the plate themselves. The silver lining here is that it's tough for Pfaadt to ever have a worse appearance in his career. His ERA jumped from 3.90 to 5.05, and he's added a 1.32 WHIP and 49:15 K:BB across 62.1 innings over 12 starts. He's tentatively projected to make his next start on the road in Cincinnati.

Soroka (2-3) allowed four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out three over 5.1 innings to earn the win Saturday over the Diamondbacks.

The Nationals put up 10 runs before Soroka threw a pitch, so he was able to work without much pressure. It wasn't all that effective of an outing, but he did enough to take care of business and earn his second win in the last three starts. This was the third start in a row in which he's pitched into the sixth inning. Soroka has a 5.81 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 28:6 K:BB over 31 innings through six starts this season.

Pages went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and two walks Saturday in an 18-2 win against the Yankees.

Pages entered the seventh inning as the only Los Angeles starting position player who hadn't scored a run, but he took care of that on his own with a solo blast to center field off Luke Weaver. The second-year outfielder closed May with seven RBI over his final five contests while batting .350 (7-for-20) during that span. Over the month as a whole, Pages hit .259 with four home runs, 25 RBI, 12 runs and three stolen bases across 26 games.

Edman went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two runs and two RBI in an 18-2 victory versus the Yankees on Saturday.

Edman and Hyeseong Kim combined to go 8-for-9 out of the bottom two spots in the Dodgers' order to contribute to an impressive performance by the team's offense. Edman had been in need of a big day at the plate, as he entered Saturday having batted just .143 (5-for-35) over 10 games since returning from the injured list May 18. Edman hasn't homered in any of his past 17 games after beginning the campaign with eight long balls through 24 contests, but he does have three extra-base hits -- all doubles -- through the first two games of the weekend series against the Yankees.

Kim went 4-for-4 with a home run, a double, a walk, three total runs and two total RBI against the Yankees in an 18-2 victory Saturday.

Kim got the start at shortstop with Mookie Betts (toe) sitting out a second straight day, though Kim shifted to center field later in the contest. The rookie reached base all five times he came to the plate, and he bashed his second big-league homer with a 412-foot, two-run blast in the second inning. Kim's opportunities have been sporadic -- Saturday's start marked just his second across the Dodgers' past nine contests -- but he's been impressive when in the lineup, slashing .422/.458/.600 with four extra-base hits, 13 runs, seven RBI and four stolen bases through 48 plate appearances.
