Bergert allowed three hits and a walk while striking out three over 4.2 scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Thursday.

Bergert came up an out short of qualifying for the win, exiting at 71 pitches (47 strikes). It appears to be simply a managerial decision, as Shohei Ohtani was up with runners on the corners and two outs when Bergert was lifted for Adrian Morejon. While it was a short start, Bergert's holding his own quite well in the majors, allowing just five runs over 20 innings across his first four starts. He's at a 1.88 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 19:9 K:BB through 24 innings over eight appearances in total this season. The 25-year-old is projected to make his next start at home versus the Nationals.

Yamamoto (6-6) allowed three runs on seven hits and struck out five over 6.1 innings, taking the loss Thursday versus the Padres.

Yamamoto turned in a quality start, but his rough June continued. He's 0-3 over four starts this month, allowing a total of 12 runs and four homers over 20.2 innings in that span. Yamamoto now has a 2.76 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 95:30 K:BB across 84.2 innings over 15 starts. All of his opponents this month have been north of .500, so that can explain some of the struggles. Yamamoto's next start is projected to be at Colorado -- even factoring in Coors Field, it's an opportunity for him to return to dominance against one of the league's weaker lineups.

Allen went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Thursday's 7-1 win over the Mets.

The 26-year-old infielder entered Thursday with just six extra-base hits this season, and the double was only his third extra-base knock in the month of June. Allen has carved out a steady role in 2025 -- he's started 64 of Atlanta's 73 games at shortstop -- but it hasn't yet translated to much fantasy appeal. He's hit eighth or ninth in the batting order in all but one of his outings, with Allen slashing just .230/.308/.268 with zero home runs, 13 RBI, 20 runs scored and six stolen bases through 211 plate appearances.

Baldwin went 1-for-2 with two RBI and two walks in Thursday's 7-1 win over the Mets.

Baldwin drew multiple walks for the first time this season in a much-needed productive outing at the plate. The lefty-hitting backstop had gone just 3-for-25 (.120) with a lone RBI over his prior nine games to Thursday, but he's been able to hold down a strong-side platoon role at catcher with the righty-hitting Sean Murphy. Baldwin is slashing .287/.342/.462 with seven homers, four doubles and 21 RBI across 155 plate appearances on the year, while Murphy has a woeful .557 OPS over his last 48 at-bats.

Schwarber went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Thursday's 2-1 win over Miami.

Schwarber cracked homer No. 23 for the season and his fourth of the month of June so far. The veteran slugger has seen his average dip a bit -- he's now hitting .241 this year after batting .262 as of May 17 -- but that hasn't impeded his power production very much. Over his last 136 plate appearances (31 games), Schwarber is slashing .211/.338/.474 with eight long balls, six doubles and 20 RBI to go with 20 runs scored.

Kerkering picked up the save after allowing one hit with no strikeouts during a scoreless ninth inning in Thursday's 2-1 win over Miami.

It was the second save of the season for Kerkering, who certainly appears to have worked his way into Philadelphia's ninth-inning mix. Each of his two saves for the year have come in his past three outings, and the right-hander is now riding a streak of 16.1 consecutive innings without yielding an earned run. The Phillies seem to be intent on having a committee at closer perhaps until one of Kerkering, Matt Strahm or Jordan Romano emerges from the high-leverage pack, as it's worth noting Strahm also has two saves in his last three appearances.

McCutchen went 4-for-8 with a double, a solo homer and a second run scored in Thursday's doubleheader split with Detroit.

McCutchen extended Pittsburgh's lead to 4-0 in the nightcap with his eighth homer of the year and third in seven games, a 382-foot blast off Keider Montero in the third inning. McCutchen now has at least one hit in 10 of his last 11 games, going 16-for-44 (.364) with seven extra-base hits in that span. Overall, the veteran outfielder is slashing .271/.355/.432 with 28 RBI and 24 runs scored through 263 plate appearances this season.

Gonzales went 4-for-10 with a double, a solo home run and a second run scored in Thursday's doubleheader split with the Tigers.

After going 1-for-5 with a double in Thursday's opener, Gonzales opened the scoring in the nightcap with a homer off Tyler Holton, his second of the season and first since Opening Day. Gonzales has gone 7-for-22 (.318) over his last five games, boosting his slash line to .259/.290/.448 with four RBI and seven runs scored through his first 62 plate appearances this year.

Tidwell will be called up from Triple-A Syracuse to start Friday's game against the Phillies, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

After being recalled from Syracuse on Thursday, Justin Hagenman was originally expected to be saved for Friday's game to either start or work in bulk relief, but he was pressed into action in New York's series finale in Atlanta, covering 2.2 scoreless innings out of the bullpen in the Mets' 7-1 loss. With Hagenman no longer available for Friday, the Mets will turn to Tidwell to fill the vacancy in the rotation. Tidwell will be getting his second career MLB start after he surrendered six earned runs across 3.2 innings in his debut outing May 4 against the Cardinals.

Skenes did not factor into the decision Thursday in the nightcap of Thursday's doubleheader against the Tigers. He allowed two runs on three hits and five walks over six innings. He struck out nine.

It's the third straight no-decision for Skenes, who held the Tigers scoreless until Gleyber Torres' two-run double in the fifth inning despite issuing a season-high five walks. The 23-year-old Skenes has held opponents to two runs or fewer in each of his last nine outings. Overall, he's 4-6 with an MLB-best 1.85 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 106:27 K:BB across 16 starts (102 innings). Skenes is currently scheduled to face the Brewers in his next outing.
