Pavin Smith 1B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Pavin Smith: Goes yard twice
Smith went 2-for-4 with two homers, four RBI and a walk in Monday's 10-0 victory over the White Sox.
Smith extended Arizona's lead to 5-0 with a three-run long ball off Chicago starter Shane Smith in the second inning. The 29-year-old wasn't finished, as he returned to launch a 416-foot solo shot in the fourth off reliever Dan Altavilla to collect his second career multi-homer game. This pair of blasts is a welcome sight for Smith since he entered the contest with a .158/.340/.316 slash line across 50 plate appearances in June.

Elly De La Cruz SS | CIN
Reds' Elly De La Cruz: Flirts with cycle
De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple, three RBI and two runs scored in Monday's win over the Yankees.
De La Cruz knocked an RBI triple during the Reds' three-run fourth inning and added an RBI single in the fifth. He capped off his big night with a solo shot in the eighth. It was his 18th long ball of the year and sixth in his last 11 contests. De La Cruz has gone 24-for-72 (.333) in June, raising his season slash line to .272/.348/.513 with 35 extra-base hits and 55 RBI.

Corbin Carroll RF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Will require stint on IL
Carroll is expected to be placed on the 10-day injured list after his MRI and CT results revealed a chip fracture in his left wrist, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.
The club is still seeking additional medical opinions on Carroll's injury, so a timetable for his return isn't available at this time. Randal Grichuk and Tim Tawa should be in line for more opportunities in right field while Carroll is on the mend.

Eduardo Rodriguez SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Eduardo Rodriguez: Dazzles in third win
Rodriguez (3-4) earned the win Monday against the White Sox, allowing five hits and two walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out 10.
The veteran southpaw notched his third game of double-digit Ks and third quality start of the season with this 92-pitch performance. Rodriguez entered this month with an unsightly 7.05 ERA; however, things were better under the hood as evidenced by a 4.28 FIP and 10.5 K/9. He has been much improved so far in June, pitching to a 2.05 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 22:6 K:BB across 22 innings. The 32-year-old is scheduled to take his next turn in the rotation in Arizona's home series against Miami this weekend.

Keibert Ruiz C | WAS
Nationals' Keibert Ruiz: Exits with head injury
Ruiz was removed from Monday's game against the Padres after suffering an apparent head injury, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Ruiz was in the dugout when he was struck by a foul ball off the bat of teammate Josh Bell in the top of the fourth inning. Ruiz was later replaced by Riley Adams.

Pete Crow-Armstrong CF | CHC
Cubs' Pete Crow-Armstrong: Leads offense in loss
Crow-Armstrong went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs scored in Monday's 8-2 loss to the Cardinals.
Crow-Armstrong was about the only positive for the Cubs on Monday, as he delivered the team's only extra-base hits and runs. The outfielder has hit safely in five of his last six games, and he's now batting .278 with 15 runs scored in 19 contests this month. For the season, Crow-Armstrong is batting .273 with an .877 OPS, and he's provided tremendous fantasy value with a team-high 21 home runs and 23 stolen bases.

Michael Fulmer RP | SF
Cubs' Michael Fulmer: Tosses two clean innings Monday
Fulmer worked around two hits to toss two scoreless innings of relief in Monday's 8-2 loss to the Cardinals.
After Chicago starter Ben Brown was tagged for eight runs in five innings, Fulmer came on in mop-up duty with the game largely out of reach. It was the veteran righty's first appearance for the Cubs this season, as he started the year in Boston before getting cut loose toward the end of April. Fulmer previously pitched for Chicago in 2023, logging a 4.42 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 65 strikeouts across 57 innings out of the bullpen. He will likely serve as a low-leverage reliever this time around for the Cubs, which limits his fantasy appeal.

Jack Brannigan 3B | PIT
Pirates' Jack Brannigan: Sidelined at Double-A
Double-A Altoona placed Brannigan on its 7-day injured list June 14 due to an unspecified injury.
The 24-year-old shortstop slashed .225/.329/.358 with five home runs and nine stolen bases over 237 plate appearances for Altoona this season before landing on the shelf.

Ji-Hwan Bae 2B | NYM
Pirates' Ji Hwan Bae: On shelf at Triple-A
Triple-A Indianapolis placed Bae on its 7-day injured list May 23 due to an unspecified injury.
After a week-long stint in the majors, Bae was optioned to Triple-A on May 16, but he appeared in just one game for Indianapolis before being placed on the shelf. He looks close to rejoining the Indianapolis lineup, as he began a rehab assignment at Single-A Bradenton last Wednesday and went 3-for-12 with a double and a walk through his first four games.

Matt Gorski 1B | LAD
Pirates' Matt Gorski: Injured at Triple-A
Triple-A Indianapolis transferred Gorski from its 7-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Friday while he recovers from an undisclosed injury.
Gorski hasn't played for Indianapolis since May 23, so his move to the 60-day IL ensures that he'll remain on the shelf through the All-Star break. Before getting shut down at Indianapolis, Gorski got the chance to make his big-league debut with the Pirates earlier this season. The 27-year-old slashed .195/.214/.390 with two home runs in 42 plate appearances for Pittsburgh before he was optioned to Triple-A on May 17.
