Phillies' Seth Johnson: Sent back to Lehigh Valley
The Phillies optioned Johnson to Triple-A Lehigh Valley following Wednesday's doubleheader against the Padres.
Johnson pitched two shutout innings and struck out two batters in the Phillies' 6-4 loss to the Padres on Wednesday in the first game of the day, lowering his ERA to 2.25 through four big-league frames. He'll head back to the minors now that his duties as the 27th man for the twin bill are complete, but he remains an option to return to Philadelphia down the line as a multi-inning reliever.

Mitch Keller SP | PIT
Pirates' Mitch Keller: Blanks Cards across seven frames
Keller (3-10) earned the win against the Cardinals on Wednesday, allowing five hits and one walk while striking out seven batters in seven scoreless innings.
Keller got off to a shaky start after letting the first three batters he faced on base, but he was able to escape the first frame unscathed. He was lights out after giving up two more baserunners in the third, retiring the last 11 batters he faced before the bullpen came in to complete the shutout and extend the Pittsburgh pitching staff's scoreless streak to 31 innings, per ESPN. Keller has won each of his last two outings after failing to record a win across his previous 15 starts, and he now has a 3.64 ERA and 1.19 WHIP across 106.1 innings this season. He's slated to start against the Royals on the road next week.

Marinaccio will return to the minors without appearing in either of Wednesday's games. The 30-year-old righty owns a 4.70 ERA and 1.39 WHIP through 30.2 innings at the Triple-A level this season but could return to San Diego later in the summer if the big club needs a fresh bullpen arm.

Mets' Francisco Lindor: Three hits, homer in nightcap
Lindor went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and three total RBI in a 7-3 win over the Brewers in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader.
Lindor extended New York's lead to 5-0 in the second inning with a solo shot off Jacob Misiorowski, his 17th homer this year and first of three hits in the nightcap. It was a much-needed performance from Lindor, who'd gone just 2-for-29 in his previous seven contests. The 31-year-old shortstop, who was announced as an All-Star prior to the game, is now slashing .261/.330/.457 with 46 RBI, 52 runs scored and 13 stolen bases through 385 plate appearances this season.

Lara made his MLB debut in the Nationals' 11-2 loss in the first game of the day, tossing three shutout innings in relief while allowing just one hit and striking out four batters. The 22-year-old righty's impressive outing isn't representative of his minor-league performance this season, however, as he owns a 7.71 ERA and 2.08 WHIP through 30.1 total innings over three levels.

Blade Tidwell P | SF
Mets' Blade Tidwell: Picks up first big-league win
Tidwell (1-1) earned the win in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader with the Brewers, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out three.
Tidwell worked in a bulk role Wednesday after Huascar Brazoban pitched the first inning. The rookie right-hander was sharp early, holding the Brewers to just two hits through his first four innings. However, Tidwell would give up back-to-back homers to Christian Yelich and Jackson Chourio to open the sixth before Milwaukee scratched across a third run after New York turned to the bullpen. While it wasn't the finish Tidwell would have wanted, the Mets managed to hang on to the lead, giving the 24-year-old his first major-league win. Overall, Tidwell sports a 9.00 ERA with a 2.20 WHIP and 10:10 K:BB through his first 15 MLB innings. He'll likely head back to the minors soon with Sean Manaea (elbow) nearing a return from the IL.

Mets' Edwin Diaz: Locks down four-out save
Diaz earned the save in a 7-3 win over the Brewers in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader, striking out three across 1.1 perfect innings.
Diaz was called upon in the eighth inning after the Brewers got the tying run to the plate with two outs. He'd strike out Jake Bauers to retire the side before setting Milwaukee down in order in the ninth, securing his 16th save in 17 chances this year. Diaz has turned in eight straight scoreless appearances (7.2 innings), allowing just four hits and a walk while striking out 10 in that span. His ERA is down to 1.91 with a 0.91 WHIP and 49 strikeouts across 33 innings this season.

Nimmo went 2-for-5 with a grand slam and a stolen base in a 7-3 win over the Brewers in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader.
After going 0-for-4 in the opening game, Nimmo provided the Mets with a much-needed spark in the nightcap, launching a grand slam off Jacob Misiorowski with two outs in the second inning to open the scoring. The 32-year-old Nimmo has at least one hit in 12 of his last 14 games -- he's gone 17-for-53 (.321) in that span. Brewers' Jacob Misiorowski: Hit hard vs. Mets
Misiorowski (3-1) took the loss Wednesday in the second game of a doubleheader with the Mets, allowing five runs on five hits and three walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out two.
Misiorowski was able to retire five of the first six batters he faced Wednesday before issuing back-to-back two-out walks followed by an infield hit in the second inning. Brandon Nimmo then made Misiorowski pay with a grand slam, which Francisco Lindor followed up with a solo shot to put the Brewers in a quick 5-0 hole. It's the first loss in the majors for the 23-year-old Misiorowski, who allowed just two runs on three hits across his first three outings (16 innings) while striking out 19. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, currently scheduled for next week at home against the Dodgers.

Reds' Christian Encarnacion-Strand: Launches grand slam in win
Encarnacion-Strand went 2-for-5 with a grand slam and a second run scored in Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Red Sox.
After fouling a ball off his foot in the continuation of a suspended game earlier Wednesday, Encarnacion-Strand was able to rejoin the lineup in the nightcap and proved to be the difference maker. The 25-year-old first baseman blasted a 439-foot grand slam off Greg Weissert to put the Reds ahead 4-3 in the seventh inning. It's the first homer since June 8 for Encarnacion-Strand, who'd gone 8-for-51 (.157) with an ugly .362 OPS in his last 15 games. He's now slashing .206/.233/.381 with six homers, 19 RBI and 13 runs scored through 133 plate appearances this season.
