  • Cubs' Andrew Kittredge: Joining North Siders

The Cubs acquired Kittredge from the Orioles on Wednesday in exchange for infielder Wilfri De La Cruz, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

After bringing in right-hander Michael Soroka from Washington earlier Wednesday, Chicago will continue to bolster its pitching staff by acquiring Kittredge. The 35-year-old reliever posted a 3.56 ERA and 1.12 WHIP in 30.1 innings with the Orioles and will likely operate in middle relief or as a setup man for the Cubs.

  • Dodgers' Adam Serwinowski: Lands with LAD in three-team deal

The Dodgers acquired Serwinowski on Wednesday as part of a three-team trade with the Reds and Rays, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

The Dodgers won't send anything directly to Cincinnati in exchange for Serwinowski, though the Reds will bring in Zack Littell from the Rays as the main piece in Wednesday's three-team deal. Serwinowski, 21, has been at High-A all season, logging a 4.84 ERA and 1.44 WHIP across 19 appearances (17 starts). He boasts impressive strikeout numbers (92 Ks through 74.1 innings), but he'll need to improve his command before elevating further up the Dodgers' farm system.

  • Blaze Jordan 3B | STL

Cardinals' Blaze Jordan: Sent to St. Louis in Matz deal

The Cardinals acquired Jordan from the Red Sox on Wednesday exchange for left-hander Steven Matz, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Since being promoted to Triple-A Worcester in early June, Jordan has slashed .289/.333/.476 with six home runs. 24 RBI and 29 runs scored through 177 plate appearances. The 22-year-old corner infielder's performance could put him in the running for a promotion once major-league rosters expand in September, though he would need to be placed on the Cardinals' 40-man roster before earning his first taste of the big leagues.

  • Zack Littell SP | WAS

Reds' Zack Littell: Dealt to Cincinnati

The Rays traded Littell to the Reds on Wednesday in exchange for Brian Van Belle and Adam Serwinowski, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Immediately after throwing five shutout innings against the Yankees on Wednesday, Littell will now pack his bags and head to Cincinnati. The 29-year-old owns a 3.58 ERA and 1.12 WHIP through 133.1 innings following his latest showing and will give the Reds' rotation a nice boost as the team pushes for a spot in the postseason.

  • Ronny Cruz SS | WAS

Nationals' Ronny Cruz: Traded to Nats

The Cubs traded Cruz to the Nationals on Wednesday alongside Christian Franklin in exchange for Michael Soroka, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.

Cruz has yet to make it past rookie ball since being drafted 90th overall last year. The 18-year-old infielder is slashing .271/.314/.429 through 191 plate appearances in the Arizona Complex League and will aim to join the Nationals' Single-A affiliate before the end of the season.

  • Spencer Steer 1B | CIN

Reds' Spencer Steer: Tallies ninth career triple in win

Steer went 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBI, a walk and a run scored in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Dodgers.

Steer tallied his second triple of the season and the ninth of his career. It's been an uneven campaign at the plate for Steer -- he has a .692 OPS in 2025 -- but he's at least fared a bit better since the beginning of June. Across his last 182 plate appearances, the first baseman is slashing .263/.319/.449 with 15 extra-base hits, 26 RBI, 20 runs scored and three stolen bases.

  • Nationals' Christian Franklin: Shipped to D.C.

The Cubs traded Franklin to the Nationals on Wednesday alongside Ronny Cruz in exchange for Michael Soroka, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.

Franklin has spent the entire season with the Cubs' Triple-A affiliate, slashing .257/.383/.415 with eight homers, 40 RBI, 60 runs scored and 11 steals through 86 games. The 25-year-old will likely report to Triple-A Rochester upon joining the Nationals organization and could be a candidate to join the big club once rosters expand in September.

  • Tony Santillan RP | CIN

Reds' Tony Santillan: Nabs third save Wednesday

Santillan picked up the save in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Dodgers, striking out one in a clean ninth inning.

Closer Emilio Pagan likely wasn't available after working four of the past five days for the Reds, which created the opportunity for Santillan to nab his third save of the season. Santillan owns a 1.96 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 28:8 K:BB over 23 innings since the start of June, and he remains firmly in the high-leverage mix with 22 holds on the year.

  • Mike Soroka SP | ARI

Cubs' Michael Soroka: Headed to Wrigleyville

The Nationals traded Soroka to the Cubs on Wednesday in exchange for outfielder Christian Franklin and infielder Ronny Cruz, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.

Soroka hasn't found much success this season as a part of the Nationals' rotation, as he sports a 4.87 ERA and 1.13 WHIP across 81.1 innings (16 starts), though his 4.11 FIP indicates he's fallen victim to a bit of bad luck. The 27-year-old righty will likely bolster the back end of the Cubs' rotation as they make their push for the postseason. Otherwise, Chicago may move him back into the bullpen to work as a long reliever.

  • Padres' Manny Machado: Reaches double-digit steals in win

Machado went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 5-0 win over the Mets.

Machado opened the scoring with a two-run single in the second inning and followed it up by swiping his 10th bag of the year. The 33-year-old has been red hot during an eight-game hitting streak, piling up seven multi-hit efforts, six extra-base hits, 11 RBI, four runs and two stolen bases. For the year, he's slashing .302/.362/.510 with 20 home runs, 71 RBI, 64 runs scored and the aforementioned 10 steals across 467 plate appearances.
