Estevez was charged with the blown save Wednesday against the Brewers after he allowed an unearned run on a hit and two walks during the 10th inning. He struck out one.

The right-hander was called upon for the bottom of the 10th inning with a 2-1 lead, but he quickly blew the save as leadoff man Jackson Chourio brought home the designated runner with a double. A balk and two intentional walks then loaded the bases with no outs, but Estevez successfully navigated the tightrope and retired the next three batters to force an 11th inning. The 32-year-old has recorded the Royals' lone save through seven games and has yet to allow an earned run in three appearances this year. Estevez is currently the lead man for saves in Kansas City, though setup man Lucas Erceg should also see some opportunities.

Ragans recorded 10 strikeouts and allowed one run on five hits and two walks across five innings Wednesday in Milwaukee. He did not factor in the decision.

Jackson Chourio started the scoring with a solo homer during the first inning, but Ragans then blanked the Brewers by scattering baserunners for the next four frames. The left-hander showcased his stuff and generated 20 whiffs, but 21 foul balls drove up his pitch count and helped result in an early exit. Ragans has yet to provide much length in his first two starts of 2025, going five frames in both outings; however, he's pitched well, allowing four runs and posting a 13:4 K:BB. A home matchup with the Twins likely awaits him early next week.

The White Sox announced that Adams underwent successful Tommy John surgery Wednesday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Adams, 25, would have had a chance to reach the majors in 2025 if he was healthy, but now he's likely to out until at least midseason of 2026. He posted a 2.92 ERA and 110:28 K:BB over 120.1 innings between Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte in 2024.

Laureano will start in left field and bat fifth in Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

Laureano will pick up a second straight start as the Red Sox send a lefty (Garrett Crochet) to the hill once again. Though Colton Cowser (thumb) was placed on the injured list earlier this week, the Orioles will likely need one of Heston Kjerstad, Cedric Mullins or Tyler O'Neill to miss time before Laureano enters the mix for regular playing time versus righties.

Kjerstad is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

Kjerstad will head to the bench along with fellow left-handed hitters Ryan O'Hearn and Jackson Holliday while the Red Sox send southpaw Garrett Crochet to the bump. Ramon Laureano will join Cedric Mullins and Tyler O'Neill in the outfield while Kjerstad sits.

Sanchez will start at catcher and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

Sanchez will draw his second start through the Orioles' first six games of the season. With Adley Rutschman likely to shoulder one of the heavier workloads among catchers league-wide this season, Sanchez's playing time could be sporadic so long as Rutschman maintains good health.

Jackson earned the save Wednesday in Cincinnati after allowing a hit and striking out one batter in a scoreless ninth inning.

The right-hander has now notched a clean save in three straight appearances since he surrendered three runs over one-third of an inning Opening Day. It'll take a bit for Jackson's ERA and WHIP to level out, but he appears to have settled in as the favorite for saves in Texas. Veteran Chris Martin, who worked the eighth inning Wednesday, is also in the mix and has converted the Rangers' only other save opportunity this year.

Basallo (elbow) has appeared in four games for Triple-A Norfolk so far this season, batting 2-for-12 with a solo home run and a walk.

Basallo has been limited to designated-hitter duties while he recovers from elbow inflammation, but the fact that he avoided a stint on the injured list to begin the season suggests he could be ready to resume catching duties in the coming weeks. The 20-year-old has returned to Norfolk after struggling in his first exposure to the International League late in the 2024 season, when he slashed .222/.267/.370 over 86 plate appearances following his promotion from Double-A Bowie.

Bello (shoulder) is scheduled to make a second rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Worcester, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Bello wasn't sharp in his first rehab start with Worcester on Tuesday, covering 2.1 innings and striking out five while allowing four earned runs on four hits and two walks. Perhaps more importantly, however, Bello emerged from that start without any setbacks with his shoulder, so he'll look to increase his workload after tossing 47 pitches Tuesday. The Red Sox will reassess Bello's next steps after Sunday's outing, but if all goes well, he could return from the 15-day injured list and rejoin the Boston rotation late next week.

O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Red Sox.

The left-handed-hitting O'Hearn will take a seat as Boston sends southpaw ace Garrett Crochet to the bump. Adley Rutschman will get a start at designated hitter as Gary Sanchez starts at catcher, batting sixth.
