O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Red Sox.

The left-handed-hitting O'Hearn will take a seat as Boston sends southpaw ace Garrett Crochet to the bump. Adley Rutschman will get a start at designated hitter as Gary Sanchez starts at catcher, batting sixth.

Holliday is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Red Sox.

With lefty Garrett Crochet on the hill for the Red Sox, the left-handed-hitting Holliday will receive his first day off this season. Jorge Mateo will start at shortstop and Jordan Westburg will cover second base for the Orioles.

Leiter was removed from his start Wednesday against the Reds after five innings due to a blister on his pitching hand, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Leiter left the game in line for the win, and he likely would have been available to cover another inning or two if the blister issue hadn't cropped up. The right-hander faced just one batter over the minimum through five frames, giving up one hit and no walks while striking out six over 70 pitches. The Rangers have described his removal as precautionary, so as long as the blister doesn't present any discomfort during his between-starts bullpen session, Leiter should be ready to take the hill the next time his turn in the rotation comes up Tuesday in Chicago versus the Cubs.

Solano will start at first base and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Tigers.

Solano will pick up his third start of the season, all of which have come at first base and when the Mariners have gone up against left-handed pitching. The 37-year-old looks like he'll be limited to a short-side platoon role while Rowdy Tellez and Luke Raley are healthy and available to serve as the primary options at first base and designated hitter, respectively.

Raley is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers.

Raley and fellow left-handed hitter Rowdy Tellez will move to the bench for the series finale while the Tigers send southpaw Tarik Skubal to the hill. With Raley getting the afternoon off, Cal Raleigh will occupy the designated-hitter spot while Mitch Garver fills in for Raleigh behind the plate.

The Tigers are sending southpaw Tarik Skubal to the hill, so Tellez and fellow left-handed hitter Luke Raley will hit the bench as the Mariners add a couple of extra right-handed bats to the lineup. Donovan Solano will step in for Tellez at first base.

Rocchio is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in San Diego.

Rocchio will get his first day off of the season after going 3-for-15 with three singles in his first five contests. The Guardians will roll with Gabriel Arias at shortstop and Daniel Schneemann at second base for Wednesday's series finale.

Kreidler will start in center field and bat ninth in Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Kreidler has served as Detroit's primary center fielder so far this season, starting in five of the first six games while going 2-for-12 with a walk, a run and a stolen base. He'll likely move into a utility role or potentially even head to Triple-A Toledo once the Tigers get at least one of Wenceel Perez (back), Matt Vierling (shoulder) or Parker Meadows (arm) back from the injured list.

The Red Sox signed Campbell to an eight-year, $60 million contract extension Wednesday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe relays that the extension contains an $19 million club option for 2033 and a $21 million club option for 2034, so the total value of the deal could reach an even $100 million. The Red Sox locked up Garrett Crochet on a long-term contract earlier this week and now have signed one of their young position players to a contract extension. Campbell, 22, is off to a great start in his major-league career, going 6-for-16 with one home run and a 5:4 K:BB through five games.

The Athletics acquired Duran from the Dodgers on Wednesday in exchange for outfielder Esteury Ruiz.

Duran spent time at three levels in the minors in 2024, accruing a 3.71 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 73:32 K:BB In 53.1 innings spanning 19 starts. The Dodgers have ample depth in the rotation and weren't likely to have a spot available for Duran anytime soon, but the move to the Athletics should enhance his chances of reaching the majors down the road. The 23-year-old right-hander will likely slot into the rotation with the Athletics' Triple-A affiliate in Las Vegas.
