Springer is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Rays. Springer is coming off his second three-hit game of the season, but he will begin Wednesday's festivities on the bench. • Blue Jays' George Springer: On bench Saturday

Springer isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees. Springer will grab a seat on the bench to begin Saturday's game after going 0-for-4 with a run scored and two strikeouts in Friday's series opener. Alejandro Kirk will move into the DH spot, affording Brandon Valenzuela a start behind the plate.

  • Blue Jays' George Springer: Absent from lineup Wednesday

Springer is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Red Sox. Kazuma Okamoto will serve as the Blue Jays' designated hitter as he comes back from a knee issue, so Springer will grab a seat Wednesday. Springer has gone just 3-for-22 at the plate over his last seven contests.

  • Blue Jays' George Springer: Swipes another bag Monday

Springer went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Monday's win over the Red Sox. The veteran slugger singled in the sixth inning and swiped second before coming home with the winning run in a 2-1 victory. Springer's had a tough season on the health front, seeing action in 89 of the Blue Jays' 120 games, but he appears to be back in top form -- since the All-Star break he's delivered a .287/.360/.463 slash line with three of his 12 homers and three of his nine steals on the year, to go along with 11 runs and 14 RBI in 23 contests.

  • Blue Jays' George Springer: Checking back in lineup Monday

Springer (shoulder) will start at designated hitter and bat cleanup in Monday's game against the Red Sox. Springer will make his return to the starting nine after a tight left shoulder kept him on the bench for the Blue Jays' final two games of their weekend series in Philadelphia. The 36-year-old was able to make an appearance as a pinch runner in Saturday's 7-5 win in 11 innings, and the shoulder issue apparently is no longer inhibiting him at the plate either.

  • Blue Jays' George Springer: Not included in lineup Sunday

Springer (shoulder) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies. Springer will miss a second straight start while he tends to a tight left shoulder. The 36-year-old was able to make an appearance off the bench as a pinch runner Saturday, so at this stage it doesn't look like he's at risk of landing on the injured list.

  • Blue Jays' George Springer: Scratched from lineup Saturday

Springer has been removed from Saturday's starting lineup versus Philadelphia due to left shoulder tightness, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports. According to Zwelling, the issue is one that Springer has been dealing with for "the last couple days." With Springer pulled from the lineup, Jesus Sanchez is moving to DH, and Myles Straw is now starting in left field. Per Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, manager John Schneider said Springer is available off the bench Saturday.

Springer went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer, a run scored and a walk during Tuesday's 8-6 loss to the Nationals. With Toronto trailing 8-3 in the eighth inning, Springer cut the deficit to just two runs, blasting a three-run homer off Gus Varland. For the 36-year-old, it was his second homer in his last four games, as he extended his hitting streak to four contests. On the season, Springer has slashed .234/.315/.405 with 12 home runs and 33 RBI in 339 plate appearances.

It continued a hot stretch for the 36-year-old, who posted a 1.121 OPS in the second half of the 2025 regular season and owns a .963 mark with two homers and eight RBI through eight games since returning from this year's All-Star break. • Blue Jays' George Springer: Hot start to second half

Springer went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and an RBI in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Rays. After drawing a walk in his first plate appearance, Springer gave Toronto the lead with an RBI single in the third inning before adding a double in the sixth. • Blue Jays' George Springer: Swipes seventh bag

Springer went 2-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Monday's loss to the Rays. It was the veteran slugger's seventh steal of the season, and his first since June 17. Springer missed a big chunk of the early July schedule while on the paternity and family leave lists, but he's hit safely in eight of his last nine games dating back to June 28, batting .278 (10-for-36) over that stretch with a triple, two homers, four RBI and six runs.

  • Blue Jays' George Springer: Goes deep against South Siders

Springer went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI during the Blue Jays' 12-4 loss to the White Sox on Friday. Springer got the Blue Jays on the board in the third inning on a fielder's choice before taking Trevor Richards deep to left field in the fifth. It was the 10th home run of the season for Springer, who played defense for the first time this season with a start in left field. That could open more opportunities at DH for catchers Alejandro Kirk and Brandon Valenzuela, or even rookie Sean Keys, as Toronto searches for a spark on offense.

  • Blue Jays' George Springer: On bench Sunday

Springer is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports. Springer started the past three games after missing six contests while on the paternity and family medical emergency list, but he'll take a seat Sunday for the final matchup before the All-Star break. Barring an appearance off the bench, the veteran slugger will finish the first half with a disappointing .218/.303/.374 slash line, nine home runs and six steals in 66 games.

  • Blue Jays' George Springer: Goes yard in return to lineup

Springer went 1-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's 10-0 rout of the Giants. Back in the lineup for the first time since June 30, Springer went back-to-back with Vladimir Guerrero in the ninth inning off Ryan Walker to put an exclamation point on the Blue Jays' offensive outburst. Springer picked up right where he left off prior to being away from the team due to the birth of his child -- over his last 14 games in June, he slashed .281/.333/.439 with two homers, three steals, five RBI and eight runs.

  • Blue Jays' George Springer: Out on paternity leave

The Blue Jays placed Springer on the paternity leave list Wednesday. Springer appeared poised to go on paternity leave this past weekend, but he ended up sticking around with the Blue Jays for a few extra days. He'll now take some time away from the team to welcome the new addition to his family, with MLB rules requiring Springer to remain on paternity leave for between 1-to-3 days. Toronto recalled outfielder Jonatan Clase from Triple-A Buffalo to temporarily take Springer's spot on the active roster.

  • Blue Jays' George Springer: Back in starting nine Sunday

Springer (personal) will serve as the Blue Jays' designated hitter and hit leadoff in Sunday's game against the Rangers. The Blue Jays had been preparing for the possibility of Springer going on the paternity list this weekend, but he ended up sticking around after sitting out Saturday's 7-4 loss. Springer could still go on paternity leave at some point during the upcoming week, making him a risky fantasy option during that period.
