Perez was removed from his start Friday against the Red Sox due to left forearm soreness.

Perez made it through just three innings before his forearm forced him out of the game. The White Sox will presumably take a closer look at the 34-year-old southpaw to determine whether he suffered any structural damage during his outing Friday, but he can be considered day-to-day for the time being.

The Angels designated Lopez for assignment Friday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Lopez signed a major-league contract with the Angels in late March, but he's appeared in just six games for the Halos while going 0-for-6 at the plate. If he goes unclaimed off waivers or isn't traded, Lopez will have the option of remaining in the organization in Triple-A or exploring other opportunities by entering free agency. Zach Neto (shoulder) was activated from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move.

The Angels reinstated Neto (shoulder) from the injured list Friday.

Neto has spent the first few weeks of the season on the injured list while finishing up his recovery from a shoulder procedure he underwent in November. The 24-year-old has been playing rehab games at Triple-A Salt Lake since the start of April, however, and has slashed .286/.397/.592 with four homers, eight RBI and 16 runs scored while logging a base hit in 11 of his 13 contests. Now fully healthy, he figures to slide back in as the Angels' everyday shortstop. Nicky Lopez was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Bader is not in Minnesota's starting lineup against Atlanta on Friday.

Bader has gone 5-for-7 with one stolen base, two runs scored and two RBI over his last two games, but he'll begin Friday's game in the dugout. The Twins will start Trevor Larnach, Byron Buxton and DaShawn Keirsey in the outfield against Atlanta right-hander Bryce Elder.

Correa (wrist) is starting at shortstop and batting fifth against Atlanta on Friday.

Correa tweaked his left wrist against the Mets on Tuesday. He underwent an MRI and missed Wednesday's contest, but the injury doesn't appear to be of much concern, as he's back in the lineup for Friday's series opener. Correa is slashing .164/.227/.246 with five walks, five runs scored and four RBI through 66 plate appearances to begin the season.

Castro (oblique) is not in the Twins' starting lineup against Atlanta on Friday.

Castro exited Wednesday's game against the Mets due to tightness in his right oblique, and he'll be held out of Friday's lineup while working through the injury. Edouard Julien and Brooks Lee will start at second and third base, respectively, against Atlanta right-hander Bryce Elder.

The Twins selected Keaschall's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Phil Miller of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Keaschall slashed .261/.379/.348 with five RBI, eight runs and four stolen bases across 58 plate appearances in Triple-A and is regarded as one of the top prospects in the Twins' farm system. He'll help provide some stability in a Minnesota infield that has been battered by injuries recently, though he will be working as the DH during his MLB debut against Atlanta on Friday. Mickey Gasper was optioned to St. Paul to clear space for the Keaschall on the active roster, and Matt Canterino (shoulder) was designated for assignment to free up a 40-man spot.

The Twins optioned Gasper to Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Phil Miller of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Gasper will head back to the minors even with Christian Vazquez working through a right hand injury, leaving Ryan Jeffers as the only healthy catcher currently on the Twins' roster. Gasper has appeared in 10 major-league games for Minnesota this season, going 2-for-18 with four walks and one run scored in 22 plate appearances.

Manager Aaron Boone said Friday that Stroman (knee) has begun playing catch, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Stroman received a cortisone shot over the weekend to address the inflammation in his left knee, and Friday appears to be the first time he's done any sort of throwing since he landed on the injured list Saturday. There's still no telling how much time the 33-year-old will need for a full recovery, though the Yankees may not be in much of a hurry to bring him back after he began the year with an 11.57 ERA and 2.04 WHIP across 9.1 innings over his first three starts.

Misner is not in the Rays' starting lineup against the Yankees on Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Misner will begin Friday's contest in the dugout with the Yankees sending southpaw Carlos Rodon to the mound, as the Rays start Christopher Morel, Jake Mangum and Jose Caballero in the outfield. Misner has tallied at least one hit in each of his last five games, and over that span he has gone 8-for-17 with two walks, five runs, two homers, four RBI and a stolen base.
