Montgomery is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Atlanta.

Montgomery started the previous four games and went 3-for-11 with a double, a homer and three walks over the past three contests, but he'll take a seat for Tuesday's series opener. Luisangel Acuna is picking up a start at shortstop while prospect Braden Montgomery makes his MLB debut in the outfield for Chicago.

Crawford (hand) is still waiting for the results of a CT scan he underwent Tuesday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Crawford was hit on the right hand by a pitch last Friday and placed on the 10-day injured list Monday. The injury designation provided Monday was a contusion, but that could change depending on the results of the CT scan. The swelling in Crawford's hand has subsided, but he is still unable to grip a bat. The Mariners could have an update on the shortstop's status later Tuesday.

Pierce is on the 7-day injured list at Single-A Charleston due to an undisclosed injury.

He missed time earlier this season with a calf strain, per Ian Cundall of Baseball America, so it could be an aggravation of that injury. Pierce, the No. 14 overall pick in last year's draft, is hitting .252 with four home runs, six steals and a 28.6 percent strikeout rate in 34 games at Single-A.

Griffin (elbow) is scheduled to resume throwing Wednesday, Jason Mackey of MLB.com reports.

Griffin will do some light throwing Wednesday as he begins a throwing progression. The rookie is coming back from a flexor strain in his right elbow, and the Pirates have refrained from offering a timeline for Griffin's return to the active roster. It's not clear whether the team is considering bringing Griffin back sooner to serve only as a designated hitter initially.

Walls is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Red Sox.

Walls has dealt with a hamstring issue this month, but this seems to be a routine day of rest. Ben Williamson will draw the start at shortstop for the Rays.

Triple-A Indianapolis placed Jebb on the 60-day injured list May 1 after he had surgery to repair a left thumb fracture and ligament damage, Mark Chiarelli of Baseball America reports.

Jebb last played April 26 and will require 12 weeks to recover, per the report. A second baseman turned center fielder, Jebb showed middling production across 136 career games at Double-A but hit .375 with two home runs and two steals in his first six games at Triple-A prior to suffering the injury.

Kilby went 0-for-2 with one strikeout in a rehab game in the Florida Complex League on May 28 but has not appeared in a rehab game since as he deals with a nagging hamstring injury, Josh Norris of Baseball America reports.

Kilby seemingly aggravated the hamstring in his one and only rehab game, as he's been missing in action for two weeks since then. Kilby showed an exciting set of tools in his brief pro debut last year, hitting .353 with 16 steals and a 108.9-mph max EV in 18 games at Single-A. He turns 20 in November.

Asigen is dealing with a hamstring injury, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.

He has yet to play in a Dominican Summer League game, although that season began June 1, so there is still time for him to make his pro debut in 2026. Asigen is one of the top prospects from this year's international signing class.

The Padres placed Bogaerts on the paternity leave list Tuesday.

Bogaerts will likely be away from the club for its final two games of a series versus the Reds before he rejoins his teammates this weekend when the Padres begin a road trip in Baltimore. Sung-Mun Song will likely handle shortstop for San Diego while Bogaerts is away.

High-A South Bend placed Cepeda on the 7-day injured list April 29 with a lower-body injury, Geoff Pontes of Baseball America reports.

Cepeda hasn't played since April 18 due to the injury. The 20-year-old infielder has hit .211 with one steal, zero home runs and seven strikeouts in five games this season.
