Baez left Friday's game against the Brewers with a possible head injury after colliding with Jason Heyward in shallow center field, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Baez was able to walk off the field under his own power, but was seen shaking his head according to Gordon Wittenmeyer of the Chicago Sun-Times. Hopefully the Cubs are just playing it safe with Baez, but a concussion is a possibility given the collision and how shaky Baez looked in the aftermath. We'll keep an eye on his condition as the night goes on.

Owings is not in the lineup Friday against the Indians.

Owings is off to a good start this season, amassing five hits and three RBI through Arizona's first four games. He'll take the night off Friday though, with Nick Ahmed filling in for him at shortstop.

Diaz went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs in Thursday's 6-4 loss to the Cubs.

Diaz shook off an 0-for-4 outing Tuesday to post his second two-hit effort over the season's first three games. However, he lined out to right field to end the game with Kolten Wong on third base. The 26-year-old has yet to drive in any runs but has a pair doubles and two stolen bases to his credit.

Seager is not in the Dodgers' lineup Friday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

Though he has played strongly early on, the Dodgers apparently want to rest Seager against a left-handed pitcher (Kyle Freeland) and manage his recent oblique injury. Enrique Hernandez is playing shortstop in his place. Expect Seager to return to the mix Saturday.

Adrianza has not swung a bat yet as he recovers from a right oblique strain, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

He's eligible to return from the 10-day DL on April 9, but this report makes it sound like he won't be ready. He'll likely need a minor-league rehab assignment, which would likely push his return to late April or early May.

Seager reached base four times Thursday, going 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, two RBI and his first steal of the season in a win over the Padres.

The star shortstop's concerning back injury during spring training seems like a distant memory after his strong start to the regular season (.313 with a homer and five RBI through four games). If Seager can build on his impressive rookie campaign, he should have no problem finishing the year as one of the game's top fantasy shortstops.

Rojas is batting second and playing third base in the Marlins' lineup Thursday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Rojas takes Derek Dietrich's place facing left-handed pitcher Gio Gonzalez. Rojas will remain the likely starter at the hot corner against southpaws as long as Martin Prado (hamstring) is on the DL.

Bogaerts was placed on the bereavement list Thursday, Evan Drellich of CSN New England reports.

Marco Hernandez will join the Red Sox to take Bogaerts' roster spot while he's away from the team. Per MLB rules, Bogaerts will miss a minimum of three games and a maximum of seven games while on the bereavement list. It's unclear how long Bogaerts plans to be away from the team, but the earliest he'll be able to return will be Monday against the Tigers.

Mondesi has failed to collect a hit and has struck out twice over his six at-bats through the Royals' first two games of the season.

Mondesi rose up draft boards following a stellar spring training that enabled him to claim a starting role at second base, but he's been unable to carry over that success to the regular season, at least in the early going. More disconcerting than his 0-of-6 start at the dish is the fact that he's batted ninth in the order in both of his two games, as Mondesi had been occupying the leadoff spot for much of Cactus League play. While Alex Gordon hasn't been able to spark the Royals at the top of the order, Mondesi will probably need to prove his worth in the lower third of the lineup before manager Ned Yost entrusts the 21-year-old with a more fantasy-friendly role as a table-setter.

Bogaerts went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts in Wednesday's 3-0 extra-inning win over Pittsburgh.

Bogaerts was moved up in the order -- from sixth to third -- taking the place of Mookie Betts (flu). Manager John Farrell's Opening Day batting order, with Bogaerts hitting sixth behind Mitch Moreland, generated quite a bit of discussion. But that's how the manager intends to play it early in the season. When Betts returns, you can expect Bogaerts back down the order. If Moreland, 0-for-9 with five strikeouts through two games, continues to be a non-entity in the middle of the order, Farrell will have to make an adjustment.
