Ahmed is out of the lineup Friday against the Dodgers.

Ahmed started each of Arizona's first seven games at shortstop but struggled significantly at the plate, grabbing just two hits. Ketel Marte slides to shortstop in his absence, with Ildemaro Vargas starting at second base.

Lindor went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's victory over Minnesota.

Lindor accounted for the only runs of the game with a two-run blast in the third inning. The homer was Lindor's second of the season and fourth extra-base hit across 29 at-bats. He is batting only .207 (6-for-29) on the campaign, though he has driven in six runs in seven contests.

Seager went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two RBI and a walk during Thursday's victory over the Diamondbacks.

Seager launched a solo homer off Robbie Ray to lead off the second inning. He added another run with an RBI groundout in the fifth, and walked in the seventh. The long ball was the 26-year-old's second in as many games after he hit his first of the season during Wednesday's win over the Astros.

Crawford went 2-for-5 with two RBI, two runs scored and a pair of stolen bases in Thursday's 8-5 win over the Angels.

Crawford kept up his hot hitting, and contributed on the scoreboard with his two-run single in the ninth inning. The shortstop also stole his first two bases of the season. He's hit safely in four straight games (6-for-15) with four RBI and six runs scored in that span. The 25-year-old is slashing .375/.516/.583 through seven contests.

Seager went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's victory over Houston.

Seager opened the scoring in the contest with a solo shot to right field in the first inning. The 26-year-old has enjoyed a strong start to the season, slashing .320/.393/.520 through his first six games. Just as impressively, he ranks eighth in the league in average exit velocity (96.4 mph) and seventh in hard-hit rate (65.2 percent), per Statcast.

Bogaerts (undisclosed) is starting at shortstop and hitting fourth Thursday against the Mets, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Bogaerts was held out of the starting lineup Wednesday with a few minor bumps and bruises, but he's back in action for Thursday's series finale as expected. The shortstop is 3-for-18 with one home run and five RBI through six games this season.

Gordon, who went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, a caught stealing and a run in a win over the Angels on Wednesday, has opened the season with a three-game hitting streak.

Gordon drew his third start of the campaign Wednesday and managed his first extra-base hit of 2020. The veteran had ceded the everyday job at second base to Shed Long coming into the season, but Gordon started at the keystone Wednesday for the first time after manning left field in his two prior games. Gordon's positional versatility could continue affording him fairly consistent playing time, and the fact he's started off steady with the bat naturally helps his case as well.

Wendle went 2-for-3 with a run in a loss to the Braves on Wednesday.

Wendle's multi-hit tally was the only one of the night for the Rays, and it extended his hitting streak to four games. The versatile infielder endured a difficult, injury-plagued season in 2019, but he appears back to the form that led to him hitting at least .300 in each of his first two Rays campaigns back in 2017-18.

Bichette (hamstring) will start at shortstop and bat leadoff Thursday against the Nationals.

Bichette returns to action for the series finale after missing the prior three contests with a tight left hamstring. The injury could prompt the youngster to take a more conservative approach on the bases in his first game back, but his ability to play shortstop at least suggests his lateral mobility won't be too compromised. Over his first three games of the season, Bichette went 4-for-16 with two RBI and a run scored.

Crawford went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Wednesday's 7-6 win over the Padres.

Crawford had gotten off to a slow start this season with one hit in 13 at-bats, but he bounced back with his first multi-hit performance of the campaign. He has hit under the .260 threshold every year but once in his career, however, so there shouldn't be a lot of expectations for what he can do offensively. This three-hit day should at least boost his confidence going forward.
