  • Jorge Mateo SS | TB

Orioles' Jorge Mateo: Achieves 30-steal season

Mateo went 0-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's 5-0 loss to the Athletics.

Mateo became the second player in the majors with 30 steals this season, swiping second base after his fifth-inning walk. While he's been caught stealing eight times, Mateo continues to offer premium speed as the American League leader in steals. He's also posted 21 doubles and six triples through 124 contests this year. The shortstop has gone 5-for-22 (.227) with two walks in his last seven games, right in line with his season numbers. The 27-year-old is slashing .228/.277/.396 with 12 home runs, 45 RBI and 53 runs scored across 443 plate appearances.

  • Jose Barrero SS | BAL

Reds' Jose Barrero: Logs steal, scores twice

Barrero went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, a stolen base and two runs scored in a 10-0 win over the Rockies in the second game of Sunday's doubleheader.

Barrero went 0-for-4 in the first game of the doubleheader before finding more success in the second contest. He scored as part of both of the Reds' five-run rallies in the fourth and sixth innings. The shortstop has yet to hit safely in more than three straight games since his season debut Aug. 3. He's slashed just .165/.198/.237 with two home runs, two steals, eight RBI and eight runs scored through 97 plate appearances despite steady playing time.

  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Twins' Carlos Correa: Two-run shot in win

Correa went 2-for-5 with one double, one home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's victory over the White Sox.

Correa broke the game open with a two-run homer in the fifth inning against Lucas Giolito. Correa also doubled and came around to score in the ninth to provide some insurance for the Twins. The homer was the 27-year-old's 16th on the season, and the double was his 17th. He is now slashing .270/.352/.434 in 466 plate appearances. The shortstop entered Sunday in a small 0-for-9 skid across his last three games.

  • Giants' Brandon Crawford: Resting against lefty

Crawford is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies, Evan Webeck of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Crawford will join fellow lefty-hitting lineup regulars Mike Yastrzemski and Joc Pederson on the bench for the series finale while lefty Ranger Suarez toes the rubber for Philadelphia. Thairo Estrada moves over from his usual post at the keystone to replace Crawford as the Giants' shortstop.

  • David Fletcher 2B | ATL

Angels' David Fletcher: Not in Sunday's lineup

Fletcher is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Fletcher started the Angels' last 26 games and will receive a day off after he posted a .318/.348/.391 slash line with one home run, 10 RBI and 13 runs during that stretch. Luis Rengifo will shift to the keystone while Andrew Velazquez starts at shortstop Sunday.

  • Jon Berti 3B | CHC

Marlins' Jon Berti: Remains idle with sore hip

Berti (hip) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game in Atlanta, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Berti's sore right hip will keep him on the bench for the third game in a row, allowing Charles Leblanc to pick up another start in the middle infield. The Marlins are seemingly hopeful that another day out of the lineup coupled with Monday's team off day will be enough time for Berti to move past the injury and rejoin the starting nine for Tuesday's series opener in Philadelphia.

  • Nick Allen 2B | HOU

Athletics' Nick Allen: Steps out of lineup

Allen is not in the lineup for Sunday's game at Baltimore.

Allen started the past 10 games and will head to the bench after he posted a .486 OPS during that span. Sheldon Neuse will take over at shortstop and bat eighth in Sunday's series finale.

  • Javier Baez SS | DET

Tigers' Javier Baez: Good to go Sunday

Baez (undisclosed) is starting at shortstop and batting third Sunday against the Royals, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Baez departed Saturday's contest with an unspecified injury, but it doesn't appear to be a serious concern since he's back in the lineup for Sunday's series finale. The 29-year-old shortstop is 8-for-25 with a home run, three walks, four RBI and four runs over his past seven contests.

  • Bo Bichette 3B | NYM

Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Hits three-run double

Bichette went 2-for-4 with a three-run double and a run scored in Saturday's win over the Pirates.

Bichette scored on a Raimel Tapia groundout in the fourth inning, then smacked a deep double in the seventh that scored Matt Chapman, George Springer and Vladimir Guerrero. Bichette has been on fire recently, going 9-for-23 (.310) with five RBI and four runs scored over his last six games. During that span, the shortstop has raised his batting average from .259 to .265.

  • Bobby Witt SS | KC

Royals' Bobby Witt: Three RBI in win

Witt went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Saturday's win against the Tigers.

Witt launched a three-run blast in the third that scored MJ Melendez and Nicky Lopez. It was his 20th home run and his second in the last four days. Since ending an eight-game hit streak Aug. 28, Witt has gone 4-for-28 with eight strikeouts. Despite that, the young shortstop has been productive on the basepaths and at the plate, picking up five runs and five RBI during that span. Witt's season batting average sits at .248 after Saturday's contest.
