  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Keeps raking in Cincy

Bichette went 3-for-4 with a walk, three runs scored and an RBI in Wednesday's 9-1 win over the Reds. The former Blue Jay reeled off his sixth straight multi-hit performance while setting a season high in runs scored. Bichette was sitting on a .570 OPS after an 0-for-7 showing to begin June, but he's been on fire since then, batting .436 (24-for-55) over his last 13 games with five doubles, a triple, three homers, 11 runs and 14 RBI.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Lone bright spot in Monday's rout

Bichette went 3-for-5 with two doubles in Monday's loss to the Reds. The 28-year-old accounted for half the Mets' hits and their only extra-base knocks in an embarrassing 12-0 rout. Bichette has reeled off four straight multi-hit performances, and over the last 11 games he's produced a .413/.396/.761 slash line with five doubles, a triple, three homers, eight runs and 12 RBI as he puts a sluggish start to his New York tenure behind him.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Homers twice, drives in six

Bichette went 2-for-3 with two home runs and six RBI in Friday's 7-5 win over Atlanta. The 28-year-old started the scoring with a leadoff homer in the bottom of the first inning, followed up with a grand slam in the second and then delivered a sacrifice fly in the fourth to account for all but one of the Mets' runs. The RBI total matches a career high for Bichette, who has now homered in each of the past two contests and is batting .316 (12-for-38) with six extra-base hits, 12 RBI and five runs through 10 games in June.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Homers Thursday

Bichette went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Cardinals. After going 0-for-8 over the first two games of the series, Bichette put the Mets ahead 2-1 with his first-inning blast off Hunter Dobbins, his sixth homer of the year. Bichette has shown signs of progress at the plate, going 10-for-29 (.345) with a .920 OPS over his last seven games. He's still slashing just .227/.277/.330 with 34 RBI and 31 runs scored across 296 plate appearances this season.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Two XBH in win

Bichette went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and an RBI in Friday's win over the Padres. The 28-year-old infielder is locking in at the plate. Bichette has six hits in the last two games, and over his last 18 contests he's slashing .282/.333/.465 with two doubles, a triple, three homers, 10 runs and 14 RBI.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Four hits in win

Bichette went 4-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 7-1 win over the Mariners. It was a much-needed performance from Bichette, who'd gone 0-for-13 over his previous four contests. He drove in two runs in the fourth inning with one of his four singles before adding a third RBI with a sacrifice fly in the eighth. Bichette is still slashing just .226/.280/.310 through 271 plate appearances this year with five home runs, 31 RBI and 29 runs scored.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Bangs out three hits in loss

Bichette went 3-for-4 in Monday's loss to the Reds. The knocks were all singles, but they went to waste in a Mets lineup that was missing Juan Soto (illness), Francisco Lindor (calf) and other key run-producers. Bichette has a slow start to his tenure with the team, but over the last nine games, he's slashing .308/.325/.564 with three home runs and nine RBI while looking more like the player who routinely posted a batting average of .290 or better and an OPS north of .800 with the Blue Jays.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Supplies only offense in win

Bichette went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Thursday's win over the Nationals. It wasn't much, but Bichette's two-run single in the third inning wound up being all the offense David Peterson and the Mets' bullpen would need on the day. Bichette has racked up seven hits and nine RBI over the last four games as he shows signs of getting comfortable in his new uniform, but on the season the former Blue Jay is slashing just .225/.276/.328 through 50 contests with five homers, one steal, 24 runs and 27 RBI.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Launches homer Monday

Bichette went 3-for-6 with a home run, two additional RBI, an additional run scored and a walk in Monday's extra-innings win over Washington. Bichette launched a solo homer -- his third of the year and first since April 28 -- in the seventh inning off reliever Mitchell Parker, but he would contribute in other areas as well. Bichette has endured a tough season in 2026 and is hitting just .197 with a .532 OPS since the beginning of May. However, he's reached base safely in all but one of his last seven contests, so he might be showing early signs of a turnaround.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Bops leadoff homer Tuesday

Bichette went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, a sacrifice fly, two RBI and one walk in Tuesday's 8-0 win over the Nationals. Bichette got the scoring started quickly for the Mets, taking Zack Littell deep on his first pitch of the game for a leadoff homer to the opposite field. It was just Bichette's second long ball of the season. He later walked in the third inning and drove home another run with a sac fly in the fourth. Like many of his teammates, Bichette has really struggled at the plate through the first month of the season, but he's now recorded at least one hit in six of his last seven games and 10 of the last dozen. He's slashing .237/.276/.331 with two homers, 14 RBI, 13 runs scored, one stolen base and a 7:27 BB:K across 127 trips to the plate.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Continues to heat up with homer

Bichette went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and two walks in Saturday's 11-6 loss to the Athletics. It was a much-needed jolt for Bichette, who blasted his first homer of the year Saturday. The three RBI were also a season high, and the infielder is certainly beginning to find a groove at the dish following a 2-for-22 start to the season in March. Since the beginning of April, however, Bichette has hit safely in nine of his 10 games while batting .333 with three extra-base hits and six RBI.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Two more hits Wednesday

Bichette went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a strikeout in Wednesday's loss to the Diamondbacks. Bichette continues to see the ball well and now has three multi-hit games in his last five, hitting .348 with a .766 OPS in that stretch. The star third baseman needs to produce at a higher level to justify his ADP, though. He's gone three games without an RBI, four without an extra-base hit and has yet to hit a homer through 57 plate appearances so far.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Three knocks in win

Bichette went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 10-3 win over the Giants. This was Bichette's first multi-hit effort as a Met. The infielder is batting just .194 over eight games, but he has an extra-base hit in each of the last two contests and has struck out just twice over his last five games after fanning eight times in the first three games of the season. His speed has been down for three years, so he's unlikely to make noise on the basepaths, which makes it all the more important for Bichette to make hard and consistent contact while maintaining good plate discipline from the No. 3 spot in the order.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Belts first spring homer

Bichette went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, a home run and five RBI in Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against the Marlins. He took prospect Robby Snelling to school in the seventh inning, driving an 0-2 slider over the right-field fence when it caught too much of the plate. The homer was Bichette's first of the spring, and he appears to be rounding into form with Opening Day a little over a week away, batting .267 (8-for-30) on the spring with a 4:5 BB:K. His adjustment to third base also seems to be going well -- Bichette hasn't committed an error since his first Grapefruit League game Feb. 21, and he ably started a 5-4-3 double play March 12 against the Cardinals.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Will remain at third base for now

Bichette isn't expected to take any reps at shortstop while Francisco Lindor (hand) is sidelined, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports. The Mets don't believe Lindor will miss much regular-season action, so they'll keep Bichette at the hot corner and let him adapt to a new defensive position without interruption. That plan could change, however, if Lindor has any kind of setback. Bichette has never played a professional game at third base, but he did handle second base during the Blue Jays' run to the World Series last season without much difficulty.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Expected to bat third

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Wednesday that he's leaning toward batting Bichette third this season, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. He'll be preceded by Francisco Lindor (hand) and Juan Soto and likely followed by Jorge Polanco. It's a phenomenal RBI spot for Bichette, who slashed .311/.357/.483 with 18 home runs and 94 RBI over 139 regular-season games for Toronto in 2025. Bichette will primarily play third base for the Mets this season, although he could be needed at shortstop early in the year if Lindor's recovery from hamate bone surgery lingers past Opening Day.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Lands three-year deal from Mets

The Mets signed Bichette to a three-year, $126 million contract Friday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports. The deal includes opt outs after each of the first two years. It's not the long-term contract many expected Bichette to sign, but he'll receive an average of $42 million annually, with the opportunity to re-enter the market if he has a monster 2026 or 2027 campaign. Bichette is likely to take over at third base for the Mets, a position he has never played before, and his arrival pushes Brett Baty into a utility role.

  • Bo Bichette: Declines qualifying offer

Bichette rejected the Blue Jays' one-year, $22.025 million qualifying offer Tuesday, Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.com reports. It was a foregone conclusion that Bichette would pass on the qualifying offer, but extending it means the Blue Jays will net a draft pick if the infielder departs in free agency. Bichette's market will be robust after he slashed .311/.357/.483 with 18 home runs and 94 RBI over 139 regular-season games for Toronto in 2025.

  • Bo Bichette: Extended qualifying offer

The Blue Jays extended a one-year, $22.05 million qualifying offer to Bichette on Thursday. Bichette will turn the offer down, as he is set to land a lucrative multi-year contract as a free agent this offseason. If Bichette signs elsewhere, the Blue Jays will net a draft pick as compensation. Bichette slashed .311/.357/.483 with 18 home runs and 94 RBI over 139 regular-season games for Toronto in 2025.

  • Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Belts big World Series homer

Bichette went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a walk against the Dodgers on Saturday in an extra-innings loss in Game 7 of the World Series. Bichette put the Blue Jays on the board with a three-run home run off Shohei Ohtani in the third inning. For much of the game it looked like that would be the knockout blow en route to a Toronto championship, but Los Angeles staged a late comeback and ultimately pulled off the victory in 11 innings. Bichette missed seven weeks coming into the World Series due to a knee injury, but he was included on the World Series roster and started six of the seven games. He didn't show any rust, batting .348 with the home run, six RBI, two runs and four walks over 27 plate appearances.
