  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Bops leadoff homer Tuesday

Bichette went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, a sacrifice fly, two RBI and one walk in Tuesday's 8-0 win over the Nationals.

Bichette got the scoring started quickly for the Mets, taking Zack Littell deep on his first pitch of the game for a leadoff homer to the opposite field. It was just Bichette's second long ball of the season. He later walked in the third inning and drove home another run with a sac fly in the fourth. Like many of his teammates, Bichette has really struggled at the plate through the first month of the season, but he's now recorded at least one hit in six of his last seven games and 10 of the last dozen. He's slashing .237/.276/.331 with two homers, 14 RBI, 13 runs scored, one stolen base and a 7:27 BB:K across 127 trips to the plate.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Comes through with big hit Thursday

Bichette went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs, three RBI and a stolen base in a 10-8 victory versus Minnesota on Thursday.

All three of Bichette's RBI came in the eighth inning, when he laced a double to left field to clear the bases and snap a 7-7 tie. The infielder had two other hits in the game to finish with his first multi-hit effort since April 11. It's been a shaky start to Bichette's tenure in New York, but he was able to lift his season slash line to .238/.270/.314 with Thursday's big performance. He's produced one homer, five doubles, 12 RBI and 10 runs through 25 games.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Continues to heat up with homer

Bichette went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and two walks in Saturday's 11-6 loss to the Athletics.

It was a much-needed jolt for Bichette, who blasted his first homer of the year Saturday. The three RBI were also a season high, and the infielder is certainly beginning to find a groove at the dish following a 2-for-22 start to the season in March. Since the beginning of April, however, Bichette has hit safely in nine of his 10 games while batting .333 with three extra-base hits and six RBI.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Two more hits Wednesday

Bichette went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a strikeout in Wednesday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

Bichette continues to see the ball well and now has three multi-hit games in his last five, hitting .348 with a .766 OPS in that stretch. The star third baseman needs to produce at a higher level to justify his ADP, though. He's gone three games without an RBI, four without an extra-base hit and has yet to hit a homer through 57 plate appearances so far.

  • Mets' Bo Bichette: Three knocks in win

Bichette went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 10-3 win over the Giants.

This was Bichette's first multi-hit effort as a Met. The infielder is batting just .194 over eight games, but he has an extra-base hit in each of the last two contests and has struck out just twice over his last five games after fanning eight times in the first three games of the season. His speed has been down for three years, so he's unlikely to make noise on the basepaths, which makes it all the more important for Bichette to make hard and consistent contact while maintaining good plate discipline from the No. 3 spot in the order.
