Isiah Kiner-Falefa CF | BOS
Pirates' Isiah Kiner-Falefa: Reinstated from IL
The Pirates reinstated Kiner-Falefa (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Monday.
Kiner-Falefa was placed on the 10-day injured list May 1 due to a right hamstring strain. He quickly resumed baseball activities and was able to run the bases over the weekend, and he's recovered enough that a rehab assignment is not needed. Kiner-Falefa slashed .280/.333/.330 with six stolen bases and seven RBI prior to his injury, and he should be back in the Pirates' starting lineup against the Mets on Monday. Liover Peguero was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis in a corresponding move.

Jordan Lawlar SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Jordan Lawlar: Call-up official
Arizona recalled Lawlar from Triple-A Reno prior to Monday's game against the Giants.
Arizona designated infielder/outfielder Garrett Hampson for assignment to open up a spot on the 26-man active roster for Lawlar, who is back in the big leagues for the first time since 2023. The 22-year-old hit just .129 over a 14-game sample with Arizona that season, then spent all of 2024 in the minors while missing considerable time due to a torn ligament in his thumb as well as a Grade 1 hamstring strain. Despite the injury-plagued season, Lawlar maintained his status as the Diamondbacks' top prospect, and he opened the 2025 campaign healthy and slashed .336/.413/.579 with six home runs and 13 steals in 37 games with Reno to push his way back onto the big-league roster. The Diamondbacks don't have an obvious everyday spot in the lineup available for Lawlar, but he's expected to pick up a handful of starts per week while rotating between second base, third base and shortstop after seeing time at all three positions with Reno this season.

Ezequiel Tovar SS | COL
Rockies' Ezequiel Tovar: Makes second rehab start
Tovar (hip) played nine innings at shortstop and went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in his rehab appearance Sunday with Triple-A Albuquerque.
Tovar began his rehab assignment at Triple-A on Saturday and ended up making starts at shortstop on consecutive days to close out the weekend. Per MLB.com, Tovar is scheduled to be re-evaluated again Wednesday, at which point the Rockies will likely determine whether he'll be available to return from the 10-day injured list for the team's series in Arizona over the weekend. Tovar was slashing .212/.257/.303 with no home runs and two stolen bases over 70 plate appearances before landing on the IL on April 19 due to a left hip contusion.

C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Nationals' CJ Abrams: Keeps raking Sunday
Abrams went 3-for-4 in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.
None of the singles resulted in any runs, as the rest of the Nationals' lineup managed only two hits combined. Abrams has been on a tear since late April, collecting 10 hits in the last four games and slashing .379/.446/.515 over the last 16 contests with seven extra-base hits (five doubles and two triples), four steals, seven RBI and 10 runs. The surge has boosted his OPS on the season to a career-high .897 as the 24-year-old shortstop looks to take another big step forward in his development.

Jordan Lawlar SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Jordan Lawlar: Promotion imminent
The Diamondbacks are expected to recall Lawlar from Triple-A Reno ahead of Monday's series opener in San Francisco, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.
Lawlar is hitting .336/.418/.579 at Reno while splitting time between second base, shortstop and third base. The Diamondbacks have solid incumbents at all three positions, including two (Ketel Marte and Geraldo Perdomo) that recently signed contract extensions. Piecoro speculates that Lawlar -- the Diamondbacks' top prospect -- will likely play around four times per week, allowing manager Torey Lovullo to give multiple other regulars on the team periodic days off.

Mookie Betts RF | LAD
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Scores three times in win
Betts went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and two additional runs scored in Sunday's 8-1 win over the Diamondbacks.
In the four-game weekend series versus Arizona, Betts went 7-for-19 (.368) with a homer, a steal, two RBI and four runs. His long ball Sunday sparked a three-run ninth inning that turned this into a runaway win for the Dodgers. Betts' average is up to .272, his highest mark since he was at .279 on April 15. He's added a .786 OPS, six homers, 24 RBI, 32 runs scored, three stolen bases, four doubles and a triple across 38 contests.

Jose Iglesias SS | SD
Padres' Jose Iglesias: Stuck in reserve role
Iglesias is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Iglesias served as the Padres' primary second baseman in April, but he shifted back to a reserve role when Jake Cronenworth was reinstated from the injured list Friday. Iglesias is also batting just .050 (1-for-20) in May, giving San Diego less incentive to find ways to get him into the lineup elsewhere.

Elly De La Cruz SS | CIN
Reds' Elly De La Cruz: Brings home four runs
De La Cruz went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer and an additional RBI in Saturday's 13-9 win over the Astros.
De La Cruz -- who entered Saturday's game 0-for-8 with four strikeouts over his prior two games -- put the Reds on the board with a three-run home run off Lance McCullers in the first inning, and the shortstop tacked on another run in the same frame on an RBI groundout. De La Cruz has struggled at the plate in May, going 6-for-39 (.154 average) with a 31.1 percent strikeout rate.

Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Cubs' Dansby Swanson: Goes deep in victory
Swanson went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and a walk in a 6-5 win against the Mets on Saturday.
Swanson plated a run on an infield single in the first inning and added a solo shot to left-center field in the fourth. The veteran shortstop has reached base safely in 11 consecutive contests, batting .421 (16-for-38) with four homers, 11 runs and seven RBI over that stretch. Swanson was hitting below the Mendoza Line as recently as April 29, but the hot stretch has pushed his season slash line to .240/.298/.455 with eight home runs, 22 RBI, 28 runs and four stolen bases through 40 games.
