  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Swipes bag, drives in two

Lindor went 2-for-3 with two RBI, a walk and a steal in a win over the Yankees in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Lindor knocked RBI singles in the fourth and seventh innings and also stole his eighth base of the season. The struggling superstar seems to be turning things around, going 11-for-39 (.282) with eight RBI and five multi-hit games over his last 11 appearances. Still, he's slashing just .222/.318/.363 with 21 extra-base hits this season.

  • Miguel Rojas 2B | LAD

Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Registers stolen base Sunday

Rojas went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in Sunday's 8-7 extra-inning loss to Atlanta.

The shortstop got aboard with a single and stole second in the fourth, but he was left on base. The 32-year-old has hit a meager 4-for-24 (.167) across his last six games, and he's batting only .170 since he returned from a broken finger June 18. Rojas has produced four home runs, 22 RBI, 35 runs scored and five stolen bases in 61 games this season.

  • Javier Baez SS | DET

Cubs' Javier Baez: Posts stolen base, RBI in loss

Baez went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a stolen base in Sunday's 3-2 loss to Cincinnati.

The shortstop knocked in Kris Bryant with an RBI single in the first inning. In the sixth, Baez hit another single and added his 10th stolen base in 12 attempts this season. Baez endured a brutal slump in June, batting just .157 (13-for-83) with five home runs, 13 RBI, eight runs scored and a stolen base in 25 games. His multi-hit effort Sunday was his first since May 31, as he looks to improve upon a .225/.274/.458 slash line across 296 plate appearances this year.

  • Giants' Brandon Crawford: Sitting versus lefty

Crawford is out of the lineup Sunday against the Diamondbacks, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Crawford had three hits in each of the past two games but will take a seat Sunday with southpaw Caleb Smith starting for Arizona. Thairo Estrada will operate at shortstop for San Francisco.

  • Trea Turner SS | PHI

Nationals' Trea Turner: Should avoid injured list

Manager Dave Martinez said he expects Turner (finger) to be in the lineup by "the beginning or middle of the week," Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Turner hasn't seen the field since suffering the jammed finger on his left hand Wednesday, but the Nationals are confident a trip to the injured list isn't necessary. Alcides Escobar should continue to see time at shortstop until Turner is cleared to rejoin the lineup. The Nationals head to San Diego on Monday to begin a four-game series.

  • C.J. Abrams SS | WAS

Padres' CJ Abrams: Out for season

Abrams will miss the rest of the season after being diagnosed with a fractured left tibia and a sprained MCL, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

The young shortstop suffered the injury Wednesday on a collision at second base, and it will bring his 2021 campaign to an abrupt end. The 20-year-old had a .290/.357/.414 slash line with two homers, 14 doubles, 23 RBI, 26 runs and 13 stolen bases through 42 games at Double-A San Antonio this season. Abrams, the Padres' top prospect, will have about seven months of recovery time before the start of spring training.

  • Oneil Cruz CF | PIT

Pirates' Oneil Cruz: Managing sore forearm

Cruz is being examined by team doctors in Pittsburgh for a sore forearm, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Cruz hasn't seen the field for Double-A Altoona since Wednesday, and he'll now head to Pittsburgh to be evaluated. GM Ben Cherington doesn't believe it's a serious issue, so the 22-year-old may not be sidelined for long.

  • Tommy Edman 2B | LAD

Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Rips two doubles

Edman went 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles in a loss to the Rockies on Saturday.

Edman's surge continued out of the top of the order, with Saturday's tally serving as his third multi-hit effort in the last five contests. The outfielder's current five-game hitting streak now includes Saturday's two doubles, a triple, four RBI, two walks, a pair of steals and four runs.

  • Giants' Brandon Crawford: Second straight three-hit game

Crawford went 3-for-4 with a triple, a walk, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 6-5 win over Arizona.

Crawford has feasted on Arizona pitching this weekend, going 7-for-12 through the first three games of the series. Saturday was the shortstop's second straight three-hit game and his fifth this year. Through 276 plate appearances, he's posted a .264/.348/.537 slash line with 17 home runs, 52 RBI, 46 runs scored and six stolen bases. His triple Saturday was his first since he had a pair in the 2019 season.

Nationals' Trea Turner: Still out Sunday

Turner (finger) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Dodgers, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
