Francisco Lindor SS | NYM
Mets' Francisco Lindor: To IL with oblique strain
Lindor was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a right oblique strain, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.
This was the fear when he exited Friday's game with right side soreness. Given the nature of the injury, Lindor could return in late July or early August if all goes well. Travis Blankenhorn was recalled in a corresponding move. Luis Guillorme, Jonathan Villar and Jose Peraza could all see starts at shortstop in the short term.

Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: Not in Saturday's lineup
Crawford (hamstring) won't start Saturday against St. Louis, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Crawford left Friday's game in the eighth inning with a left hamstring issue. The injury is evidently serious enough to cost him at least one start. Thairo Estrada gets the nod at shortstop in his absence.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Dodgers' Corey Seager: Could return Monday
Seager (hand) will play in a simulated game at the Dodgers' spring training facility Saturday and is on track to return to the active roster Monday, Michael J. Duarte of NBC LA reports.
Seager has been out of action for over two months after breaking his hand on a hit-by-pitch against the Marlins in mid-May. His return appears to be imminent, however, and he could be in the lineup for the first game of next week's NL West clash against the Giants. That possibility will be more clear after Saturday's simulated game, during which Seager is expected to play 5-6 innings and take three at-bats, per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports.

Paul DeJong SS | DET
Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Starts second half hot
DeJong went 3-for-4 in a loss to the Giants on Friday.
Although all three hits were singles, they allowed DeJong to inch ever closer to the Mendoza Line. There were signs the slugging shortstop was starting to pick it up at the plate as the All-Star break approached -- he belted a pair of home runs over the last two games of the first half -- and with Friday's production, DeJong now owns a .355/.429/.613 slash line over the 35 plate appearances he's logged across 10 July contests.

Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Braves' Dansby Swanson: Homers in loss
Swanson went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 7-6 loss to the Rays.
Swanson mashed a solo shot to left to give Atlanta a 3-2 lead in the fourth. It was his 16th homer of the year and the third over his last two games. The 27-year-old is slashing .243/.301/.458 with 38 extra-base hits, 41 RBI, 41 runs scored, six steals and a 26:103 BB:K over 367 at-bats. He's on pace for career highs in many hitting categories but must cut down on his strikeouts, as he's currently striking out 28.1 percent of the time.

Willy Adames SS | SF
Brewers' Willy Adames: Smacks 15th homer
Adames went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and four RBI in Friday's 11-6 win over the Reds.
The shortstop was a key part of Milwaukee's rally from an early deficit, taking Tyler Mahle deep in the fifth inning for a two-run shot and then lacing a two-run double in the eighth. Adames has been on fire ever since the trade from Tampa Bay, slashing .299/.380/.559 through 49 games for his new club with 10 of his 15 homers on the year.

Javier Baez SS | DET
Cubs' Javier Baez: Two hits, stolen base
Baez went 2-for-4 with a run, strikeout and stolen base in a 5-1 victory against the Diamondbacks on Friday.
Baez singled, stole second and scored in the second to get Chicago on the board and later singled in the eighth to record two hits in consecutive games for the third time this month. The shortstop is now slashing a scorching .393/.394/.750 in nine July games, while he swiped a base for the first time since June 5.
-
Jorge Mateo SS | TB
Padres' Jorge Mateo: Homers off bench Friday
Mateo went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 24-8 win over Washington.
The 26-year-old was brought into the lopsided contest as a pinch hitter for Manny Machado in the sixth inning. Mateo would put the cherry on top of San Diego's franchise-best run total with his ninth-inning blast. It was just his second homer in 91 plate appearances this year. Mateo has added six RBI, nine runs scored and three stolen bases as a depth option this year.
-
Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: Exits with hamstring issue
Crawford exited Friday's game against the Cardinals in the top of the eighth inning after tweaking his left hamstring, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
The Giants were up 7-2 late in the game, so they would have pulled Crawford even if the injury was very minor. Crawford went 1-for-4 and is hitting .280 with a .915 OPS on the year.

Miguel Rojas 2B | LAD
Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Productive in twin bill
Rojas went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the Phillies. He went 2-for-4 with a double in the nightcap.
All three of Rojas' hits during the matinee came off southpaw Matt Moore. Rojas came into the game hitting .338/.420/.481 against opposite-handed pitchers. He is a nice streaming option in leagues with daily moves when the Marlins face a left-hander.
