Arcia went 1-for-2 with a walk and a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Brewers.

The shortstop went yard for the second straight game, driving a Colin Rea two-seamer over the center-field fence in the fifth inning. Arcia is finding a groove at the plate, batting .357 (10-for-28) over a nine-game hitting streak, but the surge has still only boosted his OPS on the season to .612 -- his lowest mark in a full big-league campaign since he stumbled to a .575 mark in 2018.

Newman entered Monday's game after Christian Walker (oblique) was removed following the third inning and went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI in a 9-8 win over Washington.

Walker is set to undergo an MRI on Tuesday to determine the extent of the injury, which could lead to steadier playing time for Newman. The utility infielder was a common feature in Arizona's lineup earlier in the season, but his playing time dried up when Geraldo Perdomo came off the injured list in June. If Walker's injury requires significant downtime, the Diamondbacks could make a move to add a player with more familiarity at first base than Newman, who has 10 games of experience at the position during his MLB career.

Abrams went 1-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and a run scored in Monday's 9-8 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Abrams has had an inconsistent July, batting .170 (16-for-94) while logging six steals over 24 contests this month. The 23-year-old's still regularly hitting leadoff and that's unlikely to change with the Nationals focusing on the future for the remainder of the campaign. The shortstop has a .256/.331/.457 slash line, 15 home runs, 20 steals, 51 RBI and 64 runs scored over 99 contests this season.

Adames went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Monday's 8-3 win over Atlanta.

This was Adames' second multi-hit effort over nine games since the All-Star break. He's batting .286 (10-for-35) with two homers and four RBI in that span. The shortstop is up to a .249/.333/.435 slash line with 17 long balls, 71 RBI, 57 runs scored, 12 stolen bases and 24 doubles over 106 contests as an all-around productive batter.

The Nationals acquired Ramirez, infielder Jose Tena and left-hander Alex Clemmey from the Guardians on Monday in exchange for outfielder Lane Thomas, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

Ramirez has spent the 2024 season at Single-A Lynchburg, with whom he slashed .182/.294/.316 with four home runs, 23 RBI, 24 runs scored and seven stolen bases over 55 contests. The infielder will likely stick at the Single-A level with his new organization, joining the Nationals' Carolina League affiliate in Fredericksburg.

Reds manager David Bell said that De La Cruz will be out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs in what amounts to a routine maintenance day, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Per Rosecrans, Bell previously informed De La Cruz that he would receive a day off shortly before and after the All-Star break in an effort to keep him fresh down the stretch. After sitting out July 11, De La Cruz will be out of the lineup Monday for just the third time through 106 games this season. De La Cruz will get a chance to rest his feet one day after stealing a career-high-tying four bases in Sunday's loss to the Rays, bringing his total up to an MLB-leading 55 on the season.

Lindor went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Sunday's loss to Atlanta.

The veteran shortstop continues to make a impact from the top of the Mets' order. Through 24 games in July, Lindor is slashing .280/.396/.602 with nine of his 22 homers and six of his 21 steals on the year, while also adding 17 runs and 22 RBI.

The shortstop extended his hitting streak to eight games with a seventh-inning shot off Ryne Stanek, one of four Atlanta long balls in a 9-2 rout. Arcia may be finding his 2023 form at the plate -- over the last 13 contests, he's slashing .325/.386/.475 with two of his eight homers on the season.

Cruz went 1-for-3 with a solo homer, two walks and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Diamondbacks.

Cruz finally got the Pirates on the board with a solo blast to right off Joe Mantiply in the sixth for his second homer in as many games. Sunday was also just the third time this season he's drawn multiple walks in one game. Since coming back from the All-Star break, the 25-year-old is hitting .314/.385/.743 with three homers, nine RBI, eight runs and a 4:10 BB:K in 39 plate appearance over nine games.

Edwards hit for the cycle while going 4-for-4 with a walk in Sunday's loss to Milwaukee. He scored two runs and had one RBI.

Edwards knocked a leadoff home run on the first pitch of the game, the first long ball of his MLB career, and he finished off the cycle with an infield single in the ninth inning. It's only the second cycle in franchise history, with Luis Arraez collecting the first in April 2023. Since rejoining the Marlins in early July, Edwards has gone 31-for-78 (.397) with six extra-base hits over 22 games. He owns a .956 OPS through 105 plate appearances overall.
