Phillies' Trea Turner: Swats 16th homer

Turner went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Friday's 6-4 loss to the Orioles.

The shortstop took Brandon Young deep in the third inning to break a 2-2 tie, but the Phillies' bullpen wasn't up to the task late. Turner has gone yard in back-to-back games, giving him 16 homers on the season, and through 13 contests since the All-Star break he's delivered a .333/.379/.741 slash line with six home runs, one steal, 10 RBI and 13 runs.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Begins comeback

Perdomo went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 4-1 win over the Guardians.

The Diamondbacks rallied for all four runs in the eighth inning to erase Cleveland's lead, and it was Perdomo who started it. His bases-loaded single tied the game and was the first of three consecutive run-producing singles. Perdomo's struggled all season and July was no different; he finished the month with a .194 average and .657 OPS over 24 games.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Hits solo homer Friday

Lindor went 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run during the Mets' 5-2 loss to the Marlins on Friday.

Lindor made the score look more respectable with a solo home run in the seventh to reduce the Mets' deficit to three runs. It hasn't been a great year at the plate for Lindor, but he appears to be finding his form in the second half of the regular season. He'll end the month of July with an .860 OPS with six home runs and 17 RBI over 107 plate appearances.

  • C.J. Abrams SS | WAS

Nationals' CJ Abrams: Homers in loss

Abrams went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and three walks in Friday's 6-2 loss to Atlanta.

Abrams reached base in his first four plate appearances, and his performance was highlighted by a solo shot in the fourth inning. The 25-year-old entered the night on a 1-for-14 skid over his previous four games, but he'll finish a stellar July with a 1.150 OPS and 10 long balls over 23 games. For the season, he's slashing .290/.367/.563 with 28 homers, 83 RBI, 69 runs scored and 19 steals across 458 plate appearances.

Spikerman missed about a month of action with an ankle injury, but he's back with Jersey Shore after making a pair of rehab appearances for Single-A Clearwater. Over 125 plate appearances for the High-A club, the switch-hitting outfielder is slashing .253/.405/.337 with four doubles, two triples, nine RBI and 18 stolen bases.

  • Reds' Elly De La Cruz: Makes big impact in win

De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a walk, three doubles, two steals, an RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's 3-2 win over Pittsburgh.

De La Cruz, who scored the game-winning run on a walk-off fielder's choice, filled the box score like he's done many times before. The multi-hit effort was his third in the last five games, and the two steals upped his total to 20, the fourth consecutive season with at least 20 thefts. Since the All-Star break, De La Cruz has posted a slash line of .308/.400/.577 with with eight walks, three doubles, one triple, three home runs, four RBI and six steals over 13 games.

Over 98 plate appearances in July, Turner is hitting .267 with six homers, three doubles, one triple and 14 RBI. For the season, he's still slashing an underwhelming .243/.292/.392 with 15 long balls, 42 RBI, 73 runs scored and 17 stolen bases across 469 plate appearances.

  • Ha-seong Kim SS | ATL

Braves' Ha-Seong Kim: Clock ticking on rehab stint

Kim (finger) has gone 7-for-31 (.226) with four doubles, three steals, three runs and three RBI over his last nine games for Triple-A Gwinnett.

The veteran infielder began a rehab assignment July 13 in the Florida Complex League before getting bumped up to Gwinnett on July 18. Per Mark Bowman of MLB.com, Kim's 20-day rehab stint will end after Saturday's contest, forcing Atlanta to either activate him or find a way to move him to another organization -- something that could be difficult given the remaining money on his one-year, $20 million contract, and his .068/.171/.068 slash line through 82 big-league plate appearances this season.

  • Braves' Tate Southisene: Injured in first Double-A game

Double-A Columbus placed Southisene on the 7-day injured list July 29 with a wrist injury.
