  • Anthony Volpe SS | NYY

Yankees' Anthony Volpe: Fans five times in twin bill

Volpe went 0-for-7 with five strikeouts and a stolen base across both games of a doubleheader against Boston on Sunday.

Volpe batted out of the No. 9 spot in each contest, and he saw his season average drop to .189 with the 0-for-7 line. The rookie shortstop had curtailed his strikeout rate a bit coming into Sunday, having fanned just four times over his previous 23 plate appearances, but his overall 30.9 percent strikeout rate on the campaign is a concern. Volpe did at least manage a steal in the nightcap, giving him 15 on the season, but even that category has dried up for him of late -- Sunday's theft was just his second in his past 31 contests.

  • Javier Baez SS | DET

Tigers' Javier Baez: Finishes series strong

Baez went 2-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Twins.

Baez wrapped up a productive weekend series against Minnesota, going 5-for-15 with two triples, a home run and six RBI in four games. The shortstop now has a .741 OPS this month, compared to a .620 OPS for the season, so he is beginning to trend in the right direction.

  • Ezequiel Duran SS | TEX

Rangers' Ezequiel Duran: Logs four hits in win

Duran went 4-for-5 with a double and three runs scored in Sunday's 11-7 win over Toronto.

Duran shook off a 2-for-19 slump with his first four-hit effort of the season. He'll continue to be Texas' primary left fielder, a spot he didn't own when the season began. Duran earned it with his bat and is slashing .309/.356/.509 through 52 games.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Rangers' Corey Seager: Collects four hits

Seager went 4-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI and one run scored in Sunday's win over Toronto.

Sunday's contest marked Seager's fourth multi-hit contest in his last eight games, while his two doubles set a season high. Seager has boasted one of baseball's top bats through 40 games, owning a .363/.420/.656 slash line with 10 homers, 40 RBI and 29 runs scored while striking out just 16.6 percent of the time.

  • Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU

Athletics' Aledmys Diaz: Homers off bench

Diaz went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Phillies.

Diaz has hit safely in four straight games and seven of his last nine, going 10-for-27 (.370) over the longer span. The homer was his first since April 14 and his second of the year. The versatile infielder is up to a .211/.269/.286 slash line with 11 RBI, 12 runs scored and a stolen base through 175 plate appearances while maintaining steady but not everyday playing time in the Athletics' middle infield.

  • David Fletcher 2B | ATL

Angels' David Fletcher: Back from bereavement list

Fletcher (personal) was activated from the bereavement list by Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

The 29-year-old landed on the bereavement list Tuesday but is now back with the Bees after spending a few days with his family. Fletcher is in the midst of a 10-game hit streak with Salt Lake, which includes eight multi-hit performances, and has a .365/.422/.442 slash line in 173 plate appearances with the affiliate.

  • Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU

Athletics' Aledmys Diaz: Not starting Sunday

Diaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Diaz started four of the past five games at shortstop and should continue to see plenty of starts there with Kevin Smith (back) recently landing on the injured list, but Tyler Wade will receive the nod for Sunday's series finale.

  • Tim Anderson 2B | LAA

White Sox's Tim Anderson: Out with shoulder injury Sunday

Anderson (shoulder) is not in the starting lineup versus Seattle on Sunday.

Anderson was removed early against the Mariners on Saturday with soreness in his right shoulder, and while White Sox manager Pedro Grifol was somewhat optimistic Anderson could play Sunday, the shortstop will not be able to go for the series finale. Elvis Andrus gets the start at shortstop and will bat ninth, while Zach Remillard will get the start at second base and hit second.

  • Angels' Andrew Velazquez: Nabs two thefts Saturday

Velazquez went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run and two stolen bases in a loss against the Royals on Saturday.

Since being recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday, Velazquez has accumulated three steals in three games while starting at shortstop in place of the injured Zach Neto (oblique). Velazquez was a perfect 7-for-7 in theft attempts in the minors before his promotion, and he swiped 17 bags in 18 attempts with the Angels last season, so it may be tempting for fantasy managers in need of steals to look his way. However, it's worth keeping in mind that he's a .192 career hitter with a 33.9 percent strikeout rate in the majors.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Rangers' Corey Seager: Homers in win

Seager went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Blue Jays.

Seager provided extra cushion with a seventh-inning shot. It was his 10th homer in 39 games and fourth in the last eight starts. A hamstring injury cost him five weeks, so Seager's monster season does not yet qualify him for MVP consideration, but his numbers are right there with the best of the American League thus far. For the season, Seager boasts a line of .348/.409/.639.
