Cueto (5-3) earned the win Friday against the Phillies after allowing three runs on six hits while fanning five across six innings. He also allowed two home runs.

Cueto has allowed two homers in three straight outings and while that is slowly becoming an issue for the veteran hurler, he still got the job done in this one by posting his third quality start of the campaign. Cueto owns a 5.74 ERA in three starts this month, though, and he has given up at least three earned runs in four of his last five appearances. His next turn on the rotation should come next week at home against the Athletics.

Velasquez (2-2) was tagged with the loss Friday against the Giants after giving up four runs (three earned) on four hits and four walks across four innings. He struck out two.

Velasquez wasn't sharp with his deliveries and tossed only 45 of his 84 pitches for strikes while also finishing with more walks than strikeouts for the first time this year. The right-hander owns a 4.44 ERA but seems to be trending in the wrong direction, as he has allowed at least three runs in three of his last four outings. He's slated to take the ball next week against the Mets on the road.

Fried (4-4) picked up the win in Friday's 9-1 romp over the Cardinals, allowing one run on two hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out six.

St. Louis grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning against the southpaw, but Fried shut the Cards down after that as the Atlanta offense got rolling. He threw 68 of 98 pitches for strikes en route to his third straight quality start and sixth in his last seven trips to the mound, and Fried boasts a 2.59 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 35:14 K:BB through 41.2 innings over that stretch.

Martinez (3-8) took the loss Friday, surrendering eight runs on eight hits and four walks over three-plus innings as the Cardinals were dropped 9-1 by Atlanta. He struck out three.

The right-hander threw only 39 of 68 pitches for strikes before getting the hook with two on and nobody out in the fourth inning, and both runners eventually came around to score. Martinez has been tagged for at least five runs in three of his last four outings, sending his ERA soaring to 6.62, and he's walked 10 batters in 14.2 innings over that stretch.

Senzatela yielded four runs (three earned) on seven hits over six innings in Friday's win over the Brewers. He struck out four and did not factor in the decision.

Senzatela served up a solo shot to Luis Urias in the third inning. He later coughed up three runs in the fifth, including a two-run double by Jackie Bradley. The 6-foot-1 right-hander has given up 13 runs across 18 innings over his last three outings. He's sporting a 4.83 ERA and a 50:17 K:BB through 76.1 frames this season. Senzatela is projected to get a rematch in Milwaukee next week.

Lucchesi didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 1-0 loss to the Nationals despite tossing 5.1 scoreless innings with four hits and two walks. He struck out five.

The southpaw put together his longest and best outing of the season while tossing 55 of 90 pitches for strikes, but the Mets' bats couldn't solve Erick Fedde and the Nats' bullpen. Lucchesi has a dazzling 1.19 ERA and 24:6 K:BB over his last five outings and 22.2 innings, helping him lock down a rotation spot.

Burnes allowed four runs on eight hits and two walks over 5.1 innings in Friday's loss to Colorado. He struck out six and did not factor in the decision.

It was another subpar outing for Burnes as he couldn't really find his groove Friday. He allowed three runs before being taken out of the contest for Brent Suter, who would let an inherited runner reach home. Burnes has given up eight runs (seven earned) across 9.1 innings over his last two outings, raising his ERA to 2.62. The 26-year-old righty is lined up for a rematch at home with the Rockies next week.

Davies (4-4) allowed eight runs on seven hits and three walks with just two strikeouts across six innings, taking the loss versus Miami on Friday.

Davies' run of dominant pitching came to a halt with a stinker Friday. He allowed multiple home runs in a start for the first time this year, giving up a grand slam to Adam Duvall and a three-run blast to Jon Berti in the contest. The right-hander's ERA ballooned from 4.01 to 4.66, and he now has an unsightly 45:36 K:BB across 73.1 innings this year. Davies lines up for his next start versus the Dodgers next week.

Gray (groin) threw a successful bullpen session Friday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

The right-hander is expected to miss at least two more turns through the rotation due to a right groin strain, but Gray made a tangible step in his recovery by throwing a successful bullpen. Tony Santillan will likely continue to fill in as a starter while Gray is sidelined.

DeGrom (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Friday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

DeGrom exited his Wednesday start after just three innings due to shoulder soreness. Fortunately, the ace right-hander's MRI came back clean and he was able to follow up his Thursday throwing session with a Friday bullpen. Assuming he comes out of Friday's session feeling good, all signs point toward him taking the ball sometime early next week.
