Keller (0-4) allowed a run on five hits and no walks while striking out five in six innings to take the loss against the Padres on Sunday.

Keller posted his first quality start of the season during Sunday's outing, but he didn't get much help from the Pirates' offense and was forced to settle for his fourth loss in his first five starts in 2022. The right-hander now has a 5.32 ERA and 1.44 WHIP in 23.2 innings this year. Although Keller was unable to enter the win column Sunday, it was encouraging to see him generate some success while throwing 85 pitches in the pitching duel. He tentatively lines up to start in one of the Pirates' two games during a twin bill in Cincinnati on Saturday.

Muller was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.

Muller was called up prior to Sunday's start against the Rangers, and he allowed seven runs on four hits and six walks while striking out three in 2.2 innings to take the loss. The southpaw will head back to the minors following his rough start as part of a move to trim Atlanta's active roster to 26 players. Bryce Elder was also optioned to Gwinnett on Sunday, so it's not yet clear who will serve as the team's fifth starter next week.

Musgrove (4-0) allowed a run on seven hits and no walks while striking out eight in seven innings to earn the win over the Pirates on Sunday.

Musgrove gave up hits in three of the first four innings during Sunday's matchup, but he didn't give up a run until the bottom of the seventh. The right-hander had to settle for a no-decision in his season debut, but he's picked up wins in his last four outings. Musgrove has lasted at least six innings in every start this year and has posted a 1.97 ERA and 0.91 WHIP in 32 innings. He tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Marlins next Sunday.

Gore is scheduled to start Wednesday's game in Cleveland, Bill Center of MLB.com reports.

Gore's inclusion in the pitching schedule this week implies that he won't be optioned to Triple-A El Paso when the Padres have to pare down their active roster from 28 to 26 men by Monday's deadline. Additionally, it indicates that the return of Mike Clevinger (knee) from the 10-day injured list to start Tuesday's series opener won't cost Gore his rotation spot either, at least in the short term. Nick Martinez is expected to start Thursday against the Marlins, and his performance in that outing along with how Gore fares Wednesday may dictate which of the two sticks around for what could be a six-man rotation for the Friars. The return of Clevinger gives the Padres six starters, so the team will likely have to move Gore or Martinez to the bullpen when Blake Snell (groin) is potentially ready to come off the IL as soon as May 8. To this point, Gore has soundly outperformed Martinez, submitting a 1.76 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 20:6 K:BB across 15.1 innings.

Burnes (1-1) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk over seven innings Sunday, striking out 10 and taking a loss against the Cubs.

Burnes turned in another strong outing but was tagged with his first loss of the season in part because his offense failed to score a run in the contest. He kept the Cubs scoreless through four frames before Patrick Wisdom knocked a solo home run in the fifth. The 27-year-old is sporting a 1.93 ERA with an impressive 43:7 K:BB through 32.2 frames after recording at least 10 strikeouts for a third straight start. Burnes is expected to take the mound in Atlanta next weekend.

Feltner was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.

Feltner made a spot start against the Phillies on Wednesday and allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven in five innings to take the loss. The righty will head back to the minors as part of a move to trim the major-league roster to 26 players by Monday.

Stroman (1-3) tossed seven scoreless innings to earn the win Sunday against the Brewers. He allowed two hits and a walk while striking out five.

The Brewers came into Sunday's contest on a five-game winning streak and had scored 38 runs in that span, so Stroman's first win with the Cubs was certainly impressive. He also outdueled 2021 Cy Young Award winner Corbin Burnes, who allowed only two runs across his seven innings. Stroman has gotten off to a slow start with a 5.13 ERA through five starts, though his last two outings have been better, allowing just two earned runs across 13 innings. The righty will look to keep it rolling in his next scheduled start Saturday against the Dodgers.

Strasburg (neck) will pitch against live hitters Wednesday at the Nationals' spring training facility, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Strasburg threw a 37-pitch bullpen session last week and will now progress to facing live hitters as he continues ramping up his rehab program. The veteran right-hander could begin a minor-league rehab assignment within the next couple weeks if Wednesday's session goes well.

Ashby isn't listed among Milwaukee's probable starters for the upcoming three-game series against Cincinnati, which begins Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Ashby allowed one run over 5.2 innings Wednesday but will now shift back to the bullpen, likely since the Brewers have a scheduled off day Monday. The 23-year-old has started in two of five appearances thus far in 2022 and has a 2.65 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 19:13 K:BB across 17 innings. The young lefty is likely to keep bouncing between the rotation and bullpen as long as the rest of Milwaukee's starting pitchers remain healthy.

Cobb (groin) was activated from the 10-day injured list and will start Sunday against the Nationals, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The 34-year-old was already confirmed as San Francisco's starter for Sunday, and he's now officially back on the active roster. Cobb spent little more than the 10-day minimum on the shelf and figures to have some minor workload restrictions in his first start back from the groin strain.
