The Brewers reinstated Peralta (lat) from the 60-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start in Wednesday's game in Pittsburgh.

Peralta stretched out to only 3.1 innings and 52 pitches over the course of his two-start minor-league rehab assignment, but the Brewers were satisfied enough with his results and how he looked from a pure stuff standpoint to bring him back from the IL slightly sooner than originally expected. Though he'll pick up the start Wednesday, Peralta is unlikely to work more than five or six innings, but that could be enough for him to qualify for the win if the Brewers are able to get out to an early lead. The newly acquired Dinelson Lamet was designated for assignment to open up a spot on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster for Peralta, who will be making his first start for the Brewers since May 22.

Mets manager Buck Showalter said Peterson will be called up from Triple-A Syracuse to start one game of Saturday's doubleheader with Atlanta at Citi Field, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

New York is likely to designate Peterson as the 27th man for the twin bill, meaning that he's expected to be sent back to Syracuse immediately after the start. Though Peterson should make for a decent streaming option in deeper leagues after submitting a 3.54 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 86:35 K:BB in 73.2 innings with the big club earlier this season, Jacob deGrom's return to the rotation Tuesday means that the Mets won't have a permanent spot for the 26-year-old lefty now that the team's top five starters are all healthy again.

Henry's contract was selected from Triple-A Reno on Wednesday.

Henry will make his major-league debut as the starter in Wednesday's game against the Guardians following a strong showing in Reno to begin the year. The southpaw has posted a 3.83 ERA and 1.34 WHIP in 108 innings over 20 starts at the Triple-A level this season and should have a chance to remain in the Diamondbacks' rotation if he performs well early in his big-league career.

The Phillies plan to reinstate Gibson (personal) from the bereavement list in advance of his scheduled start Friday against the Nationals in Philadelphia, Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Gibson missed out on his scheduled start Tuesday in Atlanta due to a death in his family, prompting the Phillies to go with a bullpen day in what ended up being a 13-1 loss. The veteran righty is on track to return to Philadelphia this weekend and will start the second contest of the four-game set, with trade-deadline pickup Noah Syndergaard getting the ball in Thursday's series opener.

Syndergaard will start Thursday's game against the Nationals, Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Syndergaard was dealt from the Angels to the Phillies just before Tuesday's trade deadline, and he'll make his debut for his new team two days later. The right-hander has posted a 3.74 ERA and 1.25 WHIP in 21.2 innings over his last four starts, but he hasn't started since July 25 against Kansas City.

Garrett (2-5) took the loss Tuesday as the Marlins fell 2-1 to the Reds, giving up two runs on three hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out 11.

The 11 Ks tied the career high he set only three starts before, but a lack of run support left the 24-year-old southpaw in the loss column. Garrett has an impressive 3.03 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 44:8 K:BB through 35.2 innings over six starts since the beginning of July, but the quality of his competition over that stretch shouldn't be ignored -- five of the six outings came against the Reds, Pirates or Nationals, all which rank in the bottom 10 in the league in wRC+ against LHP.

Ashcraft (5-2) picked up the win in Tuesday's 2-1 victory over the Marlins, allowing one unearned run on five hits over 8.1 innings. He struck out three without walking a batter.

A Kyle Farmer error in the sixth inning led to the only damage against Ashcraft, and the rookie hurler got a chance to go for his first career complete game before getting lifted after 107 pitches (75 strikes) following a one-out double by Jesus Aguilar in the ninth. It was Ashcraft's second straight quality start and seventh of the year, and he'll carry a 4.12 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 49:17 K:BB through 74.1 innings into his next outing.

Burnes (8-5) took the loss against the Pirates on Tuesday, allowing four runs on three hits while striking out six and walking five across 5.1 innings.

Burnes was uncharacteristically inefficient Tuesday, throwing 53 of 103 pitches for strikes over 5.1 frames. The four runs allowed to the Pirates were the most he has allowed in a single game since he conceded to five runs to the Padres on June 3. The five walks were a single-game season high for Burnes. Since July 14, his ERA has steadily creeped up and now sits at 2.49. He will look to turn things around in his next appearance, likely Sunday against the Reds.

Darvish (10-4) picked up the win in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Rockies, giving up three runs on six hits and two walks over six innings in a 13-5 victory. He struck out seven.

The game wasn't as much of a laugher for Darvish as the final score suggested, as Colorado grabbed a 3-0 lead before the San Diego offense finally got rolling in the bottom of the fourth. The right-hander threw 71 of 107 pitches for strikes as he delivered his fifth straight quality start and 16th in 20 trips to the mound this season, and he'll take a 3.30 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 127:26 K:BB through 128.1 innings into his next outing.

Urena didn't factor into the decision in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Padres, giving up two runs on three hits and three walks over four innings as the Rockies fell 3-2. He struck out one.

The right-hander continues to struggle with his control. Urena has issued multiple free passes in all six of his starts for Colorado since joining the club at the beginning of July, leading to a rough 4.94 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 17:16 K:BB through 31 innings. The 30-year-old isn't exactly solidifying his spot in the rotation, but the Rockies also don't seem to have any better options.
