Imaging on Imai's right arm came back negative, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Imai landed on the injured list Monday due to right arm fatigue, but he doesn't appear to be dealing with a structural issue. The team now plans to build up the 27-year-old's arm strength before having him begin a throwing progression. It remains unclear how soon he will be able to return to the Astros' rotation.

The Red Sox have pulled Crawford (wrist) off his rehab assignment at Triple-A Worcester, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Crawford made one start for Worcester, permitting five runs on six hits and one walk while striking out five over three innings. He's working his way back from the right wrist surgery that he had last summer, though it's unclear at this point whether the setback is related to that or something else. The Red Sox should have more on Crawford's status soon.

The White Sox selected Schultz's contract from Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.

Schultz is set to make his major-league debut with a start Tuesday against the Rays. The 6-foot-10 left-hander earned a promotion after a dominant start to the season with Charlotte, as he posted a 19:2 K:BB over 14 innings to go along with a 1.29 ERA. Control and injuries have been a problem at times for Schultz, but he has some of the best upside of any starting pitching prospect in baseball. He'll get an opportunity to stick around with the big club if he pitches well.

The Mariners designated Castano for assignment Tuesday.

Castano failed to make Seattle's Opening Day roster and has now lost his place on the 40-man roster. Despite the DFA, the 27-year-old had a strong start to the campaign at Triple-A Tacoma, allowing one earned run with a 4:1 K:BB across 6.1 innings out of the bullpen.

The Red Sox transferred Oviedo (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Tuesday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

The moves frees up a 40-man roster spot for the addition of Jack Anderson. Oviedo was diagnosed with a flexor strain last week and will remain shut down from throwing for another five weeks, so the transaction doesn't alter his timetable.

Corbin is slated to start Thursday's game against the Brewers in Milwaukee, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Though he was a free agent all offseason until signing with the Blue Jays on April 3, Corbin had been staying on top of his throwing program while awaiting an opportunity. He needed just one four-inning appearance in the minors at Single-A Dunedin before the Blue Jays were comfortable calling him up last Friday to aid an injury-plagued rotation. The Twins roughed Corbin up for four runs on six hits and one walk over four innings in his Toronto debut, but the veteran lefty will receive a second turn through the rotation while the Blue Jays wait for Trey Yesavage (shoulder) to return from the injured list. Yesavage threw 52 pitches last Thursday in his second rehab appearance for Dunedin and will make at least one more start in the minors before potentially being activated.

Falter (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Omaha on Wednesday.

Falter landed on the injured list in early April with left elbow inflammation but is ready to test things out in a game setting. The southpaw has been touched up for five runs across 3.1 innings to begin the regular season and will be used in a mop-up role once he's back in the Royals' bullpen.

McDougal has a 2.40 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 19:9 K:BB in 15 innings through three starts for Triple-A Charlotte.

The 23-year-old McDougal is making his Triple-A debut this year, and after walking four batters in each of his first two starts, he struck out eight while walking just one over six innings in his most recent start against Memphis. The hard-throwing righty could get the call to the majors in the coming weeks if he keeps the walks in check.

Smith has a 2.00 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 14:3 K:BB in nine innings for Triple-A Charlotte.

Noah Schultz already earned a promotion from Triple-A, but the White Sox still have Smith and Tanner McDougal making waves in the Knights' rotation, so the pipeline of impact arms to the big-league rotation should continue in the coming weeks. Despite his success, Smith has thrown just three innings in each Triple-A start, so he would presumably start to ramp up to five-plus innings before earning the call to the show.

Manager Kurt Suzuki said that Manoah (finger) "came out really good" after facing live hitters Saturday at the Angels' spring training complex in Arizona, MLB.com reports.

Manoah has been cleared to use his full repertoire in his throwing sessions and could receive the green light to head out on a minor-league rehab assignment once he stacks up a few more live BPs. The 28-year-old is working his way back from a right middle finger contusion, which he developed after his fingernail fell off during a March 17 start in the Cactus League. While the Angels have an opening for a fifth starter after Ryan Johnson (infection) struggled in his lone outing this season before landing on the injured list, Manoah will likely need to perform well during his rehab assignment in order to get a look in the big-league rotation once he's activated.
