  • Patrick Corbin SP | TOR

Blue Jays' Patrick Corbin: Another start awaits Thursday

Corbin is slated to start Thursday's game against the Brewers in Milwaukee, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Though he was a free agent all offseason until signing with the Blue Jays on April 3, Corbin had been staying on top of his throwing program while awaiting an opportunity. He needed just one four-inning appearance in the minors at Single-A Dunedin before the Blue Jays were comfortable calling him up last Friday to aid an injury-plagued rotation. The Twins roughed Corbin up for four runs on six hits and one walk over four innings in his Toronto debut, but the veteran lefty will receive a second turn through the rotation while the Blue Jays wait for Trey Yesavage (shoulder) to return from the injured list. Yesavage threw 52 pitches last Thursday in his second rehab appearance for Dunedin and will make at least one more start in the minors before potentially being activated.

  • Royals' Bailey Falter: Cleared for rehab assignment

Falter (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Omaha on Wednesday.

Falter landed on the injured list in early April with left elbow inflammation but is ready to test things out in a game setting. The southpaw has been touched up for five runs across 3.1 innings to begin the regular season and will be used in a mop-up role once he's back in the Royals' bullpen.

  • White Sox's Tanner McDougal: Cuts walks in latest start

McDougal has a 2.40 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 19:9 K:BB in 15 innings through three starts for Triple-A Charlotte.

The 23-year-old McDougal is making his Triple-A debut this year, and after walking four batters in each of his first two starts, he struck out eight while walking just one over six innings in his most recent start against Memphis. The hard-throwing righty could get the call to the majors in the coming weeks if he keeps the walks in check.

  • Hagen Smith SP | CHW

White Sox's Hagen Smith: Missing bats at Triple-A

Smith has a 2.00 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 14:3 K:BB in nine innings for Triple-A Charlotte.

Noah Schultz already earned a promotion from Triple-A, but the White Sox still have Smith and Tanner McDougal making waves in the Knights' rotation, so the pipeline of impact arms to the big-league rotation should continue in the coming weeks. Despite his success, Smith has thrown just three innings in each Triple-A start, so he would presumably start to ramp up to five-plus innings before earning the call to the show.

  • Alek Manoah SP | LAA

Angels' Alek Manoah: Resumes facing hitters in Arizona

Manager Kurt Suzuki said that Manoah (finger) "came out really good" after facing live hitters Saturday at the Angels' spring training complex in Arizona, MLB.com reports.

Manoah has been cleared to use his full repertoire in his throwing sessions and could receive the green light to head out on a minor-league rehab assignment once he stacks up a few more live BPs. The 28-year-old is working his way back from a right middle finger contusion, which he developed after his fingernail fell off during a March 17 start in the Cactus League. While the Angels have an opening for a fifth starter after Ryan Johnson (infection) struggled in his lone outing this season before landing on the injured list, Manoah will likely need to perform well during his rehab assignment in order to get a look in the big-league rotation once he's activated.

  • Angels' Sam Aldegheri: Moving up to majors

The Angels are expected to recall Aldegheri from Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports.

Aldegheri has been roughed up for 16 runs with an 11:10 K:BB over 13.1 innings in his first three starts with Salt Lake. The lefty is on four days' rest, however, so he will give the Halos some much-needed length in the bullpen.

  • Yusei Kikuchi SP | LAA

Angels' Yusei Kikuchi: Hit hard in no-decision

Kikuchi didn't factor into the decision Monday against the Yankees, allowing four runs on four hits and four walks while striking out three over 3.1 innings.

Kikuchi ran into trouble early in both the first and second innings, allowing leadoff baserunners before serving up homers to Aaron Judge and Trent Grisham, respectively. The left-hander was pulled in the fourth after issuing a walk to Paul Goldschmidt, ending another disappointing start. The 34-year-old has now allowed at least four runs in each of his last three outings, and his season numbers have taken a hit as a result. Through 18 innings, Kikuchi owns a 7.50 ERA, 1.89 WHIP and a 19:10 K:BB.

  • Luis Severino SP | ATH

Athletics' Luis Severino: Fans seven in defeat

Severino (0-2) took the loss against Texas on Monday, allowing four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out seven batters over six innings.

Severino fell behind quickly, giving up a three-run homer to Jake Burger in the first inning. To the hurler's credit, he recovered relatively well, yielding just one additional run (on another Burger long ball) while managing to complete six frames. Severino had issued five free passes in each of his previous two starts, so his three walks Monday were at least a mild improvement in that area. He's given fantasy managers plenty of strikeouts this season -- Severino has 24 punchouts through 19.1 innings spanning four starts -- but has otherwise had a rough beginning to the campaign, posting a 5.59 ERA, 1.71 WHIP and 16 walks.

  • Nathan Eovaldi SP | TEX

Rangers' Nathan Eovaldi: Dominant in second victory

Eovaldi (2-2) tossed seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits and issuing two walks while striking out seven batters to earn the win over the Athletics on Monday.

Eovaldi racked up 13 whiffs and needed just 84 pitches (53 of which were strikes) to get through seven frames. All three of the hits he allowed were singles, and the right-hander didn't allow any runner to reach third base. After giving up a combined 11 runs over 8.2 frames in his first two starts of the season, Eovaldi seems to have turned things around. Over his past two outings, he's allowed just two runs across 13 frames while posting a 14:4 K:BB in a pair of victories.

  • Bailey Ober SP | MIN

Twins' Bailey Ober: Goes six innings in win

Ober (2-0) earned the win Monday, allowing four runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings against the Red Sox. He struck out seven.

Ober wasn't at his best but picked up his second win of the campaign, backed by a strong showing from the Twins' offense. While four earned runs isn't ideal, the right-hander's seven strikeouts matched his combined total from his first three outings of the season, a positive development. Through four starts in 2026, Ober owns a 5.49 ERA and 1.27 WHIP with a 14:5 K:BB across 19.2 innings.
