Urquidy stuck out five batters in four innings Saturday against the White Sox but gave up three runs on seven hits and a walk. He did not factor into the decision.

The long ball was a problem for Urquidy, as he gave up a solo shot to Yoan Moncada in the second inning and a two-run homer to Seby Zavala in the fourth. He was able to finish that frame but didn't come out for the fifth. The right-hander doesn't keep the ball on the ground well, so homers could continue to be an issue, as his 1.51 career HR/9 indicates. He'll try to keep the ball in the park next week against the Twins in his next start.

Giolito allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and a walk in five innings Saturday against the Astros, striking out six. He did not factor into the decision.

Giolito gave up two runs on four singles in the first frame but settled down after that, allowing just one unearned run on one hit and a walk in his final four innings. It wasn't enough to bring home a win, but it was a passable performance against the defending champions. His next start lines up for next week in Pittsburgh.

Kremer didn't factor into the decision after allowing five runs on six hits and three walks over three innings Saturday against the Red Sox. He struck out three.

Kremer was provided with plenty of run support with the Orioles scoring seven runs against Chris Sale while he was on the mound, but he wasn't able to work deep enough to qualify for a decision. The right-hander gave up two homers in the contest -- one to Adam Duvall and one to Alex Verdugo. He's scheduled to be back on the mound next week in a home start against the Yankees.

Sale allowed seven runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out six over three innings, taking a no-decision Saturday against the Orioles.

Sale gave up two homers to Ryan Mountcastle and Austin Hays in the first and another in the third to Cedric Mullins. It's a disappointing first outing for Sale albeit one that showed he can still miss bats, but the command was well below average for the 34-year-old. He'll get a chance to rebound next week against the Tigers in Detroit.

Severino (lat) threw Friday and Saturday without issues, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.

Severino is still limited to light throwing, but it's a positive that he's already begun throwing in some capacity less than a week after suffering a low-grade lat strain. He hopes to miss only three or four starts, and while the Yankees have yet to confirm that timeline, the fact that he's already throwing seemingly suggests he has a chance.

Ray's MRI on Saturday with his elbow revealed that he's dealing with a Grade 1 flexor strain, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Ray will be shut down for two weeks while receiving daily treatment and then will be reevaluated. The left-hander told reporters that he didn't experience any pain until the second inning of Friday's start against the Guardians. There's no estimated timetable for Ray to return, but it appears the 31-year-old will miss at least a month before he's able to return to the mound for the Mariners. Chris Flexen will likely take his place in the rotation.

Lyles (0-1) allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits and two walks over 5.1 innings, taking the loss versus Twins on Saturday.

It was far from a dominant effort for the Lyles, but he was able to get out of the jams he created and pitched well enough to win if he would have received some run support. The Royals provided none. The right-hander is expected to be back on the mound next week for a tough home matchup against the Blue Jays.

Gray (1-0) allowed three hits and four walks while striking out one over five scoreless innings, earning the win Saturday over the Royals.

Gray kept the Kansas City lineup off-balance through the majority of the outing, and 52 of his 83 pitches ended up landing in the strike zone. It was far from a dominant effort, but it's tough to complain about five scoreless frames in a season debut. Gray's projected to face off against the Astros next week in a much tougher matchup on paper.

Bello (forearm) will make a rehab start Wednesday for Triple-A Worcester, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Bello is on the 15-day injured list because of right forearm inflammation, but it is not expected to be a long absence. The right-hander will likely make two rehab appearances for Worcester, and then he'll have a chance to rejoin the Boston rotation in the middle of April.

Paxton (hamstring) is scheduled to make a rehab start Tuesday for Triple-A Worcester, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Paxton will make the rehab start in Buffalo against the Blue Jays' Triple-A club. The left-hander is making his way back from a hamstring strain that sidelined him throughout the spring season, and he will likely need to make multiple starts in the minors before rejoining the Red Sox near the end of April.
