Collin Snider RP | CHC
Mariners' Collin Snider: Placed on injured list
The Mariners placed Snider on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a right forearm flexor strain.
After starting the year with a 3.52 ERA and 1.13 WHIP through 23 innings, Snider has given up nine runs (seven earned) in only 3.1 frames across his last three appearances, and it's possible his forearm had something to do with his sudden drop in performance. He'll spend at least the next 15 days on the shelf; meanwhile, Casey Legumina will come up from Triple-A Tacoma to fill the vacancy in the Mariners' bullpen.

Casey Legumina RP | TB
Mariners' Casey Legumina: Back in big leagues
The Mariners recalled Legumina from Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday.
Seattle sent the right-hander down to the minors Friday, but with Collin Snider (forearm) headed for the injured list, Legumina will rejoin the Mariners' bullpen. The 27-year-old owns a 4.58 ERA and 1.53 WHIP across 19.2 innings in the majors this season and will likely be kept in a middle-relief role while with the big club.

Tyler Kinley RP | ATL
Rockies' Tyler Kinley: Notches second save
Kinley struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Wednesday to record his second save of the season in a 3-2 win over the Marlins.
With Zach Agnos on the bereavement list and Seth Halvorsen having pitched two straight days, the save opportunity fell to Kinley, and he breezed through Miami's 2-3-4 hitters on 15 pitches (nine strikes). Kinley did record 12 saves in 2024, but he's no better than third in the pecking order this year for the Rockies despite a 2.45 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 9:7 K:BB over his last 11 innings dating back to May 10.

Jason Foley RP | SF
Tigers' Jason Foley: Moved to 60-day IL
The Tigers recalled Foley (shoulder) from Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday and placed him on the 60-day injured list.
Foley has been on the Triple-A injured list since mid-April due to a shoulder strain, and he underwent season-ending surgery in May to address the issue. He'll now join the major-league 60-day IL in order to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Sawyer Gipson-Long, who was activated from the injured list to start Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

Dylan Smith RP | SF
Tigers' Dylan Smith: Heads back to Triple-A
The Tigers optioned Smith to Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
The transaction clears a spot on the Tigers' 26-man active roster for Sawyer Gipson-Long (elbow/hip), who was reinstated from the 15-day injured list ahead of his start Wednesday against the White Sox. After getting his first big-league call-up last Friday, Smith made two appearances out of the bullpen and allowed two runs on four hits and two walks over three innings without striking out a batter.

Justin Sterner RP | ATH
Athletics' Justin Sterner: Opening Wednesday
Sterner will serve as the opener in Wednesday's game against Minnesota.
Sterner has allowed eight runs (seven earned) in one combined inning across his last three appearances, so the A's will now see if a role change might help him get back on track. He likely won't last more than an inning before handing things off to Jeffrey Springs, who's expected to pitch in bulk relief.

Tim Mayza RP | PHI
Pirates' Tim Mayza: Cleared for plyometric program
Mayza underwent imaging on his left shoulder last week and will do a plyometric program for the next two weeks, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Mayza landed on the 15-day injured list April 19 due to a left shoulder lat muscle strain. He could start throwing again should he make progress with the program he's set to embark on, but it may not be until late June or early July that he is cleared to go on a rehab assignment. The 33-year-old southpaw posted a 2.89 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 8:1 K:BB across 9.1 innings prior to his injury.

Dauri Moreta RP | PIT
Pirates' Dauri Moreta: Nearing return from IL
Pirates senior director of sports medicine Todd Tomczyk told reporters Wednesday that he "would have no issues with recommending" Moreta (elbow) to be activated from the 60-day injured list, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Moreta has made 11 rehab outings with Triple-A Indianapolis and has yielded just one run and three hits over his last 6.2 innings. The 29-year-old right-hander is in the final stages of his recovery from Tommy John surgery, which he underwent in March of 2024. He last saw major-league action in 2023 with Pittsburgh, and he had five holds with a 3.72 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and a 76:24 K:BB across 58 frames.

Codi Heuer RP | CLE
Rangers' Codi Heuer: Returns to Triple-A
The Rangers optioned Heuer to Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday.
Heuer is being sent down to clear a spot on the active roster for Kumar Rocker (shoulder), who was reinstated from the 15-day injured list ahead of his start Wednesday against the Rays. The reliever allowed one run over 1.1 innings in his lone appearance with the big club.

Miguel Castro RP | CHW
White Sox's Miguel Castro: Shifted to 60-day injured list
The White Sox transferred Castro (knee) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Wednesday.
The move frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for right-hander Ryan Cusick, whom the White Sox claimed off waivers from the Tigers. Castro will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery Tuesday to repair a torn patellar tendon in his right knee.
