Reds' Casey Legumina: Sent to Triple-A
The Reds optioned Legumina to Triple-A Louisville on Monday.
Legumina's latest stint in the majors lasted one day, as he allowed four runs over two relief innings in Sunday's loss to the Royals. He's clearing out to make room on the roster for right-hander Julian Aguiar, who was called up from Triple-A to start Monday's contest in Toronto.

Adam Oller RP | MIA
Marlins' Adam Oller: Contract selected
The Marlins selected Oller's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday.
Oller will start Monday's contest against the Diamondbacks after posting a 2.88 ERA and 24:7 K:BB over 25 innings covering three starts and three relief appearances with Jacksonville. Given the state of the Marlins' rotation, Oller is a candidate to make multiple starts.

Thyago Vieira RP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Thyago Vieira: Clears waivers
The Diamondbacks outrighted Vieira to Triple-A Reno on Aug. 2.
Though Vieira remains a member of Arizona's organization after clearing waivers earlier this month, he has yet to pitch for Reno since being cast off the 40-man roster. Reno placed him on its restricted list Aug. 9 for unspecified reasons.

Joe Jacques RP | NYM
Diamondbacks' Joe Jacques: Clears waivers, stays in organization
The Diamondbacks outrighted Jacques to Triple-A Reno on July 30.

Brandon Hughes RP | CHC
Diamondbacks' Brandon Hughes: Booted off 40-man roster
The Diamondbacks outrighted Hughes to Triple-A Reno on Aug. 2.
Arizona previously optioned Hughes to Triple-A on June 29, only to move him off the 40-man roster entirely just over a month later. Since being sent back to Reno in late June, Hughes has accrued a 1.26 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB over 14.1 innings.

Humberto Castellanos RP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Humberto Castellanos: Outrighted to Triple-A
The Diamondbacks outrighted Castellanos to Triple-A Reno on Friday.
As expected, Castellanos cleared waivers after Arizona designated him for assignment Aug. 11. Since he had been previously outrighted, Castellanos could have elected free agency, but he'll instead stick around in the organization with the hope of earning a call-up to Arizona later on this season. Castellanos worked out of the bullpen for his seven appearances with the big club earlier in 2024 but has been a regular member of the rotation at Reno, with whom he's compiled a 4.39 ERA and 1.24 WHIP across 67.2 innings over 15 outings (14 starts).

Blake Treinen RP | LAD
Dodgers' Blake Treinen: Sharp in rehab outing
Treinen (hip) made a rehab appearance for Double-A Tulsa on Saturday, retiring all three batters he faced via strikeout.
Treinen landed on the 15-day injured list Aug. 5 with left hip discomfort, but after turning in a dominant rehab appearance over the weekend, he looks on track to return to the Dodgers bullpen when first eligible Tuesday. Before he was deactivated, Treinen had turned in a 2.67 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 38:9 K:BB over 30.1 innings for the big club while gathering five wins, nine holds and one save.

Ryan Walker RP | SF
Giants' Ryan Walker: Picks up win Sunday
Walker (8-3) got the win over the Athletics on Sunday, allowing an unearned run on two hits and a walk while striking out five over two innings.
Walker entered in the bottom of the ninth looking to send the game to extras with the score tied 1-1. He successfully did so and then came back out for the bottom of the 10th with a 4-1 lead after the Giants tacked on three. Walker found himself in a jam with the bases loaded and nobody out and struck out three batters in a row to seal the deal. He's now put together eight straight outings without giving up an earned run and has piled up three holds, a win and a save while posting a 14:2 K:BB over that span. For the year, Walker owns an impressive 2.10 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 79:15 K:BB in 64.1 innings.

Reds' Brent Suter: Needs at least three rehab outings
Suter (shoulder) will need at least three rehab outings before being activated off the 15-day injured list, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
Suter had a successful throwing session Friday and is expected to begin a rehab assignment this week. He's ahead of the original projected return from a partial tear of the left teres major muscle.
