Nelson (shoulder) was activated off the 10-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A San Antonio.

Nelson made his fourth rehab start at Triple-A San Antonio on Thursday, and it looks as though he'll remain there for the time being. The 29-year-old exceeded 80 pitches in each of his last three rehab outings, so he should be fully stretched out despite the extensive layoff. The Brewers have yet to announce the official plan for Nelson going forward, but more information is likely to be provided in the near future.

Loup (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Friday.

Loup has been on the 10-day IL with a left elbow strain since April 8, and it remains unclear where he is currently at in his recovery. The 31-year-old will be eligible to return from the 60-day IL in early June, though that shouldn't be expected given the lack of information on his progress.

Kelly has been placed on the MLB bereavement list, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

The right-hander must miss at least three games but no more than seven. Outfielder Kyle Garlick is back on the Dodgers' roster in a corresponding move.

Kinley (1-0) gave up a run on three hits in an inning of relief but still picked up the win in Thursday's come-from-behind victory over the Tigers.

The right-hander entered the game in the eighth inning with the Marlins down 1-0 and made things a little worse, but Garrett Cooper's grand slam in the top of the ninth bailed Kinley out and handed him his first big-league win. His 5.75 ERA and 1.92 WHIP through 20.1 innings on the year remain poor, but his 24:15 K:BB shows his potential if he can improve his control and command.

Suero (1-4) struck out the side but gave up three runs on two hits and a walk in the eighth inning Thursday to blow his first save of the season and take the loss against the Mets.

Getting a chance at high-leverage work after the Nats rallied to take the lead in the top of the eighth, Suero couldn't get the job done and served up a three-run homer to Carlos Gomez. The right-hander's 30:9 K:BB through 21.1 innings this season looks good, but it comes with an unsightly 7.17 ERA.

Bowman was recalled from Triple-A Louisville on Friday.

Bowman spent two days on the roster in early May but did not get into a game. He owns a respectable 4.10 ERA in 149.1 innings of relief in his three-year major-league career but struggled to a 6.26 mark in 23 innings last season. Phillip Ervin was optioned in a corresponding move.

Nelson (shoulder) allowed four runs in five hits in 4.2 innings in a rehab start for Triple-A San Antonio on Thursday, striking out six batters while walking three.

Nelson cruised through four scoreless innings before allowing four runs in his fifth frame. Prior to the appearance, reports suggested Thursday's outing could be Nelson's final rehab start. It's unclear whether the one poor inning will change those plans.

Reyes (finger) allowed an earned run on two hits and two walks across five innings in High-A Palm Beach's win over Charlotte on Thursday. He struck out six.

Reyes was making his return to action after missing just under a month with a fractured pinkie. The right-hander was impressive while working up to 70 pitches, and his six strikeouts were a season high. Reyes could remain at the High-A level for at least another rehab start before working his way back to Triple-A Memphis.

Diaz didn't allow a baserunner and struck out two across a scoreless ninth inning to record the save Thursday against the Nationals.

Diaz entered the game in the ninth inning with the Mets up two runs and had little trouble closing out the game. He now has 12 saves on the season and has yet to blow an opportunity. Diaz has also provided elite ratios, recording a 0.97 WHIP and 1.83 ERA while striking out 30 across 19.2 innings for the campaign.

Neris picked up the save against the Cubs on Thursday, giving up two hits and an earned run over 1.1 innings, striking out two and walking one in the Phillies' 9-7 victory.

It wasn't smooth sailing as Neris allowed three baserunners and a run, but he was ultimately able to preserve his eighth save in as many opportunities. This wasn't his best outing, but Neris has been doing good work overall as Philadelphia's top closer option to this point, as he's sporting a 2.08 ERA, a 0.97 WHIP and a 29:7 K:BB through 21.2 innings.
