Jurado was recalled from the alternate training site for Sunday's doubleheader against the Yankees, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports.

The 24-year-old will serve as the 29th man for the twin bill and should return to the alternate site at the conclusion of Game 2. Jurado was acquired from the Rangers in early August after being designated for assignment. He had a 5.81 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 81:36 K:BB over 122.1 innings last season and has yet to see game action in 2020.

The Mets recalled Smith from their alternate training site ahead of Sunday's doubleheader with the Yankees, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

The Mets moved Steven Matz (shoulder) and Dellin Betances (lat) to the 10-day injured list to make room in the bullpen for three fresh arms in Smith, Franklyn Kilome and Ariel Jurado. Smith has previously made seven relief appearances for New York, giving up two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out six in six innings.

Bard (2-2) earned the win Saturday against the Padres by pitching a scoreless ninth inning and allowing one hit while fanning one.

Bard pitched the top of the ninth inning and allowed a single to Jurickson Profar to kick things off, but he settled down afterwards, inducing Ty France to hit into a double play and striking out Trent Grisham to end the frame in only nine pitches (seven strikes). Bard has allowed runs in four of his last seven relief appearances and owns a 4.35 ERA in 12 outings (10.1 innings) this month.

Betances was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday with right lat tightness, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports.

The 32-year-old took his first loss of the season Saturday after allowing one run on one hit while recording one out against the Yankees, and he'll now make his way to the injured list. Betances will be eligible to be activated Sept. 9, but it's unclear how long he's expected to be sidelined.

Betances (0-1) allowed one run on one hit and one walk while striking out a batter in just a third of an inning Saturday as he was handed the loss against the Yankees.

Betances entered in the bottom of the ninth to try to preserve a tie and send the game into extra innings, but he was unsuccessful in doing so. The right-hander walked Clint Frazier, who advanced to third on a single to right and ended up crossing home plate as the winning run on a wild pitch. Betances has given up runs in only three of his 13 appearances, but he still owns a poor 6.10 ERA and 8:7 K:BB across 10.1 innings this season.

Hader was tagged with a blown save against Pittsburgh on Saturday. He pitched one-third of an inning and did not give up any hits, but he allowed two runs on five walks while striking out one.

Even elite performers struggle sometimes, and that was certainly the case with Hader on Saturday as he simply could not locate his fastball in the strike zone. The fireballer threw only nine of his 32 pitches for strikes and walked in two batters before he was mercifully lifted after retiring only one hitter. Fortunately for Hader and the Brewers, Devin Williams came in and kept Pittsburgh from tacking on additional runs, and Eric Sogard hit a walkoff homer in the bottom of the ninth. Hader's job is about as secure as they come given that this was his first blown save of the season. In fact, he had not allowed any earned runs prior to Saturday, and he has still not allowed a base hit in 2020.

Kimbrel (0-1) took the loss and the blown save in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against Cincinnati, pitching two-thirds of an inning and allowing two runs on one hit and three walks while striking out a pair.

Kimbrel entered the contest on a five-outing scoreless and hitless streak. He was called upon to protect a one-run lead in the bottom of the final frame but yielded a pair of walks and a single to allow the Reds to tie the game. Kimbrel then loaded the bases with an intentional walk, and Cincinnati subsequently walked off with a win as the result of a wild pitch Kimbrel uncorked while facing Jose Garcia. The outing was a microcosm of Kimbrel's season thus far -- he has allowed only seven hits while striking out 15 batters over eight innings, but his ERA sits at an ugly 10.13 thanks largely to 12 walks and four wild pitches.

Antone pitched four innings in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Cubs, allowing three runs on three hits and one walk while striking out five. He did not factor in the decision.

Antone made his second start of the season in the nightcap and was able to get through four frames on 66 pitches (39 strikes). He allowed only three hits, but two of those left the park to account for all three runs scored against him. Antone has been functioning as a long reliever, so he'll likely go back to that role for his next appearance. He has a 2.66 ERA and 27:9 K:BB over 20.1 innings this season.

Jansen walked one but struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save Saturday against the Rangers.

Jansen was called upon to protect a three-run lead and had little trouble doing so, walking the leadoff hitter but then retiring the next three batters he faced. He now has nine saves on the season while maintaining a 1.23 ERA with 21 strikeouts across 14.2 innings.

Rogers pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn the save in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Rogers didn't record a strikeout, but he retired David Peralta, Christian Walker and Eduardo Escobar in order for his second save of the year. Tony Watson previously pitched a scoreless eighth inning in the contest, allowing one walk and adding a strikeout. It's unclear if Saturday's outing gives Rogers an edge for ninth-inning duties -- he has struggled with a 5.71 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 16:3 K:BB through 17.1 innings this season. Rogers has six holds, a blown save and a 1-3 record on his line.
