Chapman (2-0) allowed one hit and no walks while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the win against the Nationals on Sunday.

Chapman gave up an unearned run in the 10th inning of Saturday's game, but he earned his second win of the season Sunday by preserving the tie game in the ninth inning before Giancarlo Stanton hit a walkoff single. The southpaw has now posted a 0.62 WHIP and 29:4 K:BB in 13 scoreless innings this season.

Barnes struck out one in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save against the Orioles on Sunday.

Barnes hadn't pitched since Wednesday, but he remained effective Sunday to pick up his fifth save in his last seven appearances. The right-hander has posted a 2.00 ERA, 0.50 WHIP and 30:3 K:BB in 18 innings across 17 outings to begin the year.

Pivetta (5-0) allowed two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out two in six innings to earn the win against the Orioles on Sunday.

Pivetta gave up a run in the bottom of the first inning Sunday, but he then retired 12 of the next 13 batters before he allowed a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth. Pivetta has allowed at least two runs in five of his first seven starts, but he's picked up five wins while avoiding the loss column to begin the year. He could make his next start at home against the Angels on Friday.

Kittredge pitched a scoreless 1.2 innings, allowing one hit and one walk while fanning two to get the save in the win Sunday against the Athletics.

Kittredge has appeared in many different roles this season, serving as an opener, middle reliever and closer. Sunday's save was only the third of his career. The Rays like to use different relievers for saves throughout the season, so Kittredge is not likely to receive many closing opportunities given the extensive depth of the Rays' bullpen.

Pressly struck out two batters in a perfect ninth inning to earn a save over the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Pressly was called upon to protect a 7-4 lead and quickly retired the side on just 13 pitches. It was his first scoreless outing since April 27, and he's now converted all six of his save chances this season. The 32-year-old owns a 1.80 ERA and 17:3 K:BB over 15 innings.

Pearson (0-1) allowed three runs on four hits and five walks over 2.1 frames while taking a loss against Houston on Sunday.

Not only did Pearson walk five batters and throw just 28 of 64 pitches for strikes, but he also failed to record a strikeout in the short outing. The 6-foot-6 righty walked in a run during the second inning and was chased from the game after allowing three straight Astros on base in the third. He missed the first month of the season with a groin injury but looked solid in his season debut with Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday. Pearson will look for better results in his projected start at home against the Phillies next weekend.

Manager Brandon Hyde said Sunday that Lowther will likely move to the bullpen for the time being, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Baltimore has yet to finalize its rotation heading into a six-game week, but it apparently won't include Lowther, who was lit up by Boston for seven earned runs in 2.1 innings in his first career MLB start Saturday. Due to off days Thursday and May 17, the Orioles could choose to get by with a four-man rotation until at least May 22.

The Blue Jays recalled Pearson from Triple-A Buffalo ahead of his scheduled start Sunday against the Astros.

Reliever Rafael Dolis (calf) was moved to the 10-day injured list to clear a spot on the active roster for Pearson, who will be making his 2021 debut for the Blue Jays after a spring groin injury sidelined him for the first month-plus of the season. Pearson worked 3.2 innings and covered 78 pitches in his most recent outing at Triple-A on May 4, so he should be stretched out enough to handle a typical starter's workload Sunday.

Wilson (1-0) earned the win over Washington on Saturday, pitching a perfect inning and striking out a pair.

This was a well-deserved win for Wilson, who had to deal with the extra-innings leadoff runner at second base but managed to keep the Nationals off the scoreboard in the 11th frame. The left-hander had allowed a combined five earned runs over his previous three appearances, so Saturday's effort could go a long way toward righting the ship. Wilson has a 6.23 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 9:5 K:BB across 8.2 innings this season.

The Mariners selected Chargois' contract from Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday.

He'll join the Seattle bullpen as a replacement for starter Ljay Newsome, who was placed on the 10-day injured list after exiting his start against the Rangers early Saturday due to right elbow inflammation. The 30-year-old Chargois, who owns a 4.58 ERA across 85 career MLB appearances, is expected to work mostly in lower-leverage spots.
