Austin Nola C | COL
Padres' Austin Nola: Reaches base four times
Nola went 3-for-3 with a run scored and a walk Thursday against the Giants.
Nola logged his second consecutive multi-hit game and his third in nine September starts. That hasn't translated into tremendous counting stat production, though he does have four runs scored and two RBI in that span. For the season, Nola has maintained a .267/.341/.354 line with 13 runs scored and 28 RBI across 182 plate appearances.

Jacob Stallings C | BAL
Pirates' Jacob Stallings: Out of lineup
Stallings will sit Thursday against the Reds.
Stallings has hit a respectable .289/.349/.368 in 10 games so far in September. Michael Perez takes over behind the plate Thursday, catching Connor Overton.

Riley Adams C | WAS
Nationals' Riley Adams: Draws pair of walks in loss
Adams went 0-for-3 with two walks, one run and one RBI in Wednesday's 8-6 loss to the Marlins.
Though Adams appeared to supplant Tres Barrera as Washington's top catcher in the second half of August, the 25-year-old's stay atop the depth chart proved short lived, as Keibert Ruiz has taken over as the team's preferred backstop since his Aug. 30 promotion. Adams made what was just his second start in the Nationals' last eight games Wednesday, and he demonstrated the sort of plate discipline that made him an intriguing prospect coming up through the Toronto system. While he likely won't see his opportunities behind the plate pick up over the final two and a half weeks of the season, Adams has been working out at first base of late and could end up getting a look in a short-side platoon role behind the lefty-hitting Josh Bell, according to Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com.

Tucker Barnhart C | TEX
Reds' Tucker Barnhart: Idle Thursday
Barnhart is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Pirates.
Most of the lefty-hitting Barnhart's off days typically come when Cincinnati opposes lefty starting pitchers, but he'll take a seat Thursday against right-hander Connor Overton in the series finale due to the Reds and Pirates getting together for a day game after a night game. Tyler Stephenson will bat sixth and catch for Tyler Mahle.

Travis d'Arnaud C | LAA
Braves' Travis d'Arnaud: Not starting Thursday
D'Arnaud is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rockies.
D'Arnaud will take a seat for the day game after he went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts in Wednesday night's 3-2 loss to the Rockies. William Contreras replaces d'Arnaud behind the dish, batting eighth.

J.T. Realmuto C | PHI
Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Three hits with a homer
Realmuto went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, two RBI and a stolen base in the win over the Cubs on Wednesday.
The catcher returned to the lineup Wednesday after missing the last game. He drove in Ranger Suarez on a single in the fifth inning before launching a solo homer in the eighth. It was his first long ball since Aug. 22 and his 15th of the season. Over his last two contests, Realmuto has collected six hits in eight at-bats while driving in three runs.

Willson Contreras 1B | BOS
Cubs' Willson Contreras: Not starting Wednesday
Contreras isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.
Contreras will get a breather after he went 3-for-17 with two runs, two RBI and two walks across his last five appearances. Robinson Chirinos will start behind the plate and bat fifth.

J.T. Realmuto C | PHI
Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Returns to lineup
Realmuto (shoulder) is starting Wednesday's game against the Cubs.
Realmuto sat out Tuesday's game due to right shoulder inflammation, a condition which required him to receive an injection Sunday. However, he'll start at first base and bat fourth following his one-game absence.

Keibert Ruiz C | WAS
Nationals' Keibert Ruiz: Not in Wednesday's lineup
Ruiz isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Marlins, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Ruiz was back in the lineup in each of the last two games, and he went 3-for-7 with a run. Riley Adams will start behind the dish and bat eighth.
