Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Goes deep Saturday
Machado went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's loss to Minnesota.
Machado gave San Diego an early lead with his third-inning solo shot to left field, but the Padres didn't score again until the ninth frame. The long ball was the second in as many games for Machado, who has gone deep three times since the All-Star break. The veteran third baseman leads the Padres in hits (103), homers (18), RBI (57) and OPS (.886).

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Swipes bag in loss
Muncy went 1-for-3 with a double, a stolen base and a hit-by-pitch in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Rockies.
Muncy has hit safely in five of his last six games, though he's now gone 18 contests without a multi-hit effort. His steal was his second of the year, matching his total from last season. The infielder continues to struggle at the plate with a .162/.310/.305 slash line, nine home runs, 31 RBI, 39 runs scored, 10 doubles and a triple in 335 plate appearances. If the Dodgers elect to add a hitter before Tuesday's trade deadline, Muncy could soon find himself in a bench or platoon role.

Buddy Kennedy 3B | SF
Diamondbacks' Buddy Kennedy: Joins Saturday's lineup
Kennedy was added to the lineup for Saturday's game against Atlanta.
Kennedy is serving as the designated hitter and batting seventh Saturday after David Peralta was traded to the Rays. Kennedy has gone 2-for-5 with a walk and two strikeouts over two games since the All-Star break.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Not starting Saturday
McMahon isn't starting Saturday's game against the Dodgers.

Edmundo Sosa 2B | PHI
Phillies' Edmundo Sosa: Dealt to Philadelphia
Sosa was traded from the Cardinals to the Phillies on Saturday in exchange for JoJo Romero, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
Sosa spent the first four seasons of his major-league career in St. Louis but will get a change of scenery after he slashed .189/.244/.270 with 17 runs, eight RBI and three steals over 53 games to begin the year. The 26-year-old saw inconsistent playing time with the Cardinals over the first half of the season and will likely serve as infield depth for his new team.

Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: Powers offense in win
Riley went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and three RBI during Friday's 5-2 win over the Diamondbacks.
The 25-year-old saw his 18-game hit streak come to an end after going 0-for-4 versus the Phillies on Wednesday, and he responded Friday by clubbing three extra-base hits. Riley has been one of the best hitters in the majors this year with a .299/.360/.603 slash line, 29 doubles, 29 home runs and 67 RBI in 99 games.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Registers rare steal
Arenado went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 6-2 win over the Nationals.
This was Arenado's first game back after he missed a two-game set in Toronto due to his vaccination status. While he wasn't able to produce a hit, he picked up his second steal of the season, both of which have come in his last nine games. The third baseman now has a .293/.358/.523 slash line with 18 home runs, 59 RBI, 43 runs scored, 24 doubles and a triple through 92 contests. With the Cardinals south of the Canadian border again, he should resume his role as the everyday third baseman.

Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA
Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: Homers in second consecutive game
Wisdom went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double, a walk and two total runs scored in Friday's 4-2 win over the Giants.
Wisdom opened the scoring with a solo shot in the fifth inning, and he added another run in the ninth after hitting a ground-rule double. This was the third baseman's first multi-hit effort since July 5, and he's homered in consecutive games. For the season, he's slashing .226/.321/.460 with 19 long balls, 50 RBI, 51 runs scored, six stolen bases and a career-high 22 doubles in 95 contests.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Pads lead Friday
Machado went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and three strikeouts in Friday's 10-1 win over the Twins.
Machado's fifth-inning blast accounted for two of the Padres' six runs during that frame. It was his second long ball in seven games since the All-Star break and his 17th homer of the year. The third baseman has had some mild struggles in July, as his batting average has dropped from .327 at the beginning of the month to .298 after Friday's contest. He's added an .884 OPS, 56 RBI, 62 runs scored and seven stolen bases through 90 games.

Jason Vosler 3B | SEA
Giants' Jason Vosler: Batting eighth after call-up
Vosler was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento and is starting at third base and batting eighth Friday against the Cubs.
He is slashing .222/.300/.426 with 12 home runs and two steals in 57 games at Triple-A, but Vosler has hit .268 with four home runs in a brief 19-game sample in the majors this year. With Evan Longoria (hamstring) back on the IL, there should be some playing time available for Vosler in the short term.
