Reds' Nick Senzel: Exits game early

Senzel left Tuesday's game against Boston early after a hard crash into the outfield wall, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Senzel ran into the center field wall trying to catch a fly ball and immediately fell to the ground after doing so. He attempted to run after being examined by a trainer but couldn't do it and was forced to leave the game. More updates will come as we learn more about his status.

Riley's slashing .250/.326/.526 over his last 20 contests with six of his career-high 37 homers on the year, and he has 15 games left in the regular season to drive home the eight runs he needs to record his second straight 100-RBI campaign.

  • Max Muncy 3B | LAD

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Opening doubleheader on bench

Muncy is not in the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Diamondbacks.

Muncy owns a stellar 1.041 OPS this month, but the Dodgers have little to play for at this point, so they will limit Muncy to no more than one start Tuesday.

  • Evan Longoria 3B | ARI

Giants' Evan Longoria: Not in lineup Monday

Longoria isn't starting Monday against Colorado, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

  • Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA

Wisdom isn't starting Monday against the Marlins.

P.J. Higgins is starting at first base and batting fifth. Wisdom's ongoing struggles could result in him moving into a bench role over the final two weeks of the season.

  • Padres' Manny Machado: Clobbers homer in win

Machado went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional run scored and a walk in Sunday's 6-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Machado got the scoring going early with his first-inning blast, and that was all the Padres needed. Over his last seven games, he's gone 4-for-26 (.154), and his homer Sunday was his first extra-base hit in that span. Extended slumps have been rare for the third baseman this year, as evidenced by his sturdy .296/.365/.531 slash line through 136 games. He's added 29 homers, 92 RBI, 90 runs scored and seven stolen bases.
