Joseph Ortiz 2B | MIL
Brewers' Joey Ortiz: Heads to bench Wednesday
Ortiz is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.
Ortiz looks to be getting some routine maintenance for the day game after a night game, with Oliver Dunn spelling him at third base. The rookie had started at third base or second base in each of the past five games, reaching base at a .476 clip while recording four extra-base hits (one home run, three doubles) and a stolen base during that stretch.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Three hits vs. Miami
McMahon went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Marlins.
McMahon got the Rockies on the board with an RBI single in the first inning before driving in a second run with a double in the 10th. The 29-year-old McMahon now has hits in six straight games, going 8-for-23 with two doubles and two home runs in that span, on the heels of a 1-for-14 stretch. His slash line is up to .321/.397/.495 on the season with four homers, 18 RBI and 12 runs scored.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Reds' Jeimer Candelario: Homers in loss
Candelario went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to San Diego.
Candelario and Stuart Fairchild each homered in the seventh inning, closing a four-run deficit to two. It was the second consecutive game with multiple hits for Candelario, who endured an 0-for-19 slump heading into the series against the Padres. He's hitting .189/.282/.378 with three homers and nine RBI through 103 plate appearances.

Christopher Morel 1B | MIA
Cubs' Christopher Morel: Nabs second steal
Morel went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Mets.
The steal was his second of the season, and both pilfers have come in his last eight contests. Morel is struggling to get going with his bat, however -- through 29 games he's slashing a meager .215/.292/.374 with four homers, 14 RBI and 17 runs.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Absent from lineup Tuesday
Muncy is not in the Dodgers' lineup Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks.
Muncy started against southpaw Tommy Henry on Monday but will take a seat with lefty Jordan Montgomery on the bump for Arizona on Tuesday. Despite the Dodgers scoring eight runs against the Diamondbacks in Monday's win, the third baseman went hitless across five plate appearances. Enrique Hernandez will get the start at third and bat sixth Tuesday.

Mark Vientos DH | NYM
Mets' Mark Vientos: Heads back to minors
The Mets optioned Vientos to Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
Vientos contributed a walk-off home run in Sunday's extra-innings win over the Cardinals but now finds himself back in the minors as Starling Marte returns to the active roster. With J.D. Martinez with the club and Brett Baty absorbing most of the at-bats at third base, there's no path to regular playing time for Vientos right now.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Reds' Jeimer Candelario: Covers first base in win
Candelario started at first base and went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Monday's 5-2 win over the Padres.
Candelario filled in at first base for Christian Encarnacion-Strand (hand), who was available off the bench. His second-inning double put an end to an 0-for-19 skid, and he eventually scored on a balk. The slumping corner infielder has spent just two days this season with average of .200 or better.
-
Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN
Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez: Delivers run in loss
Suarez went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Monday's 8-4 loss to the Dodgers.
Suarez was involved in Arizona's three-run fifth inning, plating a run with a single. His bat has slumbered to start the season (.229 average, .634 OPS), but the third baseman has managed to deliver with runners on base. Suarez is third on the club with 18 RBI, fueled by a .414 average with runners in scoring position.
-
Alec Bohm 3B | PHI
Phillies' Alec Bohm: Drives in three runs
Bohm went 1-for-3 with three RBI and a walk in Monday's loss to the Angels.
Bohm knocked a two-run single in the first inning and added an RBI sacrifice fly in the ninth. He's been an RBI machine this season, racking up 10 over his last six games, giving him 29 on the year. He trails only Atlanta's Marcell Ozuna on the RBI leaderboard. Bohm is slashing .364/.439/.607 with 17 extra-base knocks and a 15:19 BB:K through 30 games.

Christopher Morel 1B | MIA
Cubs' Christopher Morel: Hits go-ahead home run
Morel went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 3-1 win over the Mets.
Morel was hitless until the ninth inning, when he delivered a two-out home run with a runner on against New York closer Edwin Diaz to break open a 1-1 tie. The key blast was Morel's fourth of the season and first since April 9. He's not off to as fast of a start as he had last year, but the 24-year-old can heat up in a hurry, and perhaps this effort will provide the spark.
