Murray (finger) went 1-for-2 with a walk, a run and an RBI while appearing in three Cactus League games last week.

Murray had previously exited a March 7 game after being struck in the right pinky finger by a pitch, but he was cleared for action just over a week later. The 26-year-old infielder finished Cactus League play with a .238/.333/.619 slash line to go with two home runs and one stolen base across 27 plate appearances. He'll open the season at Triple-A Charlotte but should make his MLB debut at some point in 2026 after being added to the White Sox's 40-man roster over the winter.

The Twins optioned Kreidler to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Kreidler was in the running for one of the final reserve spots for the Twins but ultimately didn't make the cut. The utility player will report to St. Paul for now but should eventually get an opportunity with the big club.

The Red Sox reassigned Capra to minor-league camp Saturday.

Last spring, Capra was able to secure a spot on the Brewers' Opening Day roster, but the 29-year-old utility man wasn't as fortunate in his first camp with the Red Sox. Capra will presumably begin the season at Triple-A Worcester, where he should get the chance to play on a near-everyday basis. Between the Brewers and White Sox in 2025, Capra saw action in 47 games and slashed .125/.157/.177 with one home run and two stolen bases across 105 plate appearances.

Lewis is hitting just .091 (3-for-33) with two home runs this spring. He has two walks and 11 strikeouts.

Lewis appears healthy after missing a few days due to tightness in his side which is likely the most important aspect of his spring. However, it would be nice to see him get on a roll the final few days of spring training. Still, he's set to be the everyday starter at third base.

The Rays optioned Malloy to minor-league camp Friday.

The Rays traded for Malloy in January, but the 26-year-old won't make the Opening Day roster. The former Tiger went 8-for-36 (.222) with two doubles, a stolen base and a 2:8 BB:K for the Rays during spring training.

Walls received a cortisone injection in his right oblique and is expected to be sideline at least three-to-four weeks, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

The 29-year-old sustained the injury earlier this week and will begin the season on the injured list. It wouldn't be surprising if Walls is sidelined beyond that estimate given the nature of oblique injuries. Top prospect Carson Williams is expected to step in at shortstop for the Rays and may not cede the job back to Walls, who had a meager .584 OPS since making his MLB debut in 2021.

Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's spring game against the Royals.

Ramirez returned to the lineup for the first time since an issue with his left shoulder cropped up last Sunday. He showed the shoulder was in fine shape when he swatted a no-doubt home run in his first plate appearance. The homer was Ramirez's third of the Cactus League, and an indicator that he'll be ready for Opening Day next week.

Ramirez exited last Sunday's spring game with shoulder inflammation and needed a few days off, but he's back in the lineup and appears to be ready to go ahead of Opening Day next Thursday. Ramirez has an .833 OPS with two home runs, nine RBI, three stolen bases and a 5:9 BB:K across 36 plate appearances this spring.

Durbin was informed by the Red Sox on Wednesday that he will begin the season as the club's starting third baseman, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Manager Alex Cora indicated earlier in camp that Durbin would likely open the year as the starter at the hot corner, and he's now officially won the job. The 26-year-old spent most of his time there as a rookie last season in Milwaukee, where he had a .256/.334/.387 slash line with 11 homers and 18 steals in 136 regular-season games.

Walls will open the season on the 10-day injured list due to a strained right oblique, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Walls had been set to begin the season as the Rays' starting shortstop, but his injury now opens the door for top prospect Carson Williams to run with the job after Williams had initially been dispatched to Triple-A Durham earlier this week. A career .195/.286/.298 hitter across 1,560 plate appearances, Walls was unlikely to hit enough to hold onto the job for long.
