Nolan Gorman 3B | STL
Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Sent down
Gorman was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Monday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Gorman has struggled at the dish in September, likely resulting in this demotion. Prior to Monday's move, he was slashing .138/.219/.310 with one home run, two RBI and three walks in September (10 games). Gorman was sent down in favor of Juan Yepez.

Luis Guillorme 3B | HOU
Mets' Luis Guillorme: Losing work to Escobar
Guillorme is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Milwaukee.
Before he landed on the injured list Aug. 15, Guillorme had filled the strong side of a platoon at third base with Eduardo Escobar. However, the lefty-hitting Guillorme looks to have faded into a reserve role since his return from the groin injury a week ago, as Escobar has earned himself more work against right-handed pitching by producing at the plate. Escobar will stick in the lineup Monday with reigning Cy Young Award winner Corbin Burnes on the hill for MIlwaukee.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Slated for MRI
Rodgers, who isn't starting Monday against the Giants, will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of his left hamstring strain, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.
Although manager Bud Black said Sunday that he doesn't think Rodgers' hamstring injury is significant, the second baseman will be further examined to determine the severity of the issue. Ryan McMahon is taking his place at the keystone and leading off Monday, while Rodgers should tentatively be considered day-to-day until the results of his MRI are known.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Not starting Monday
Rodgers (hamstring) isn't in the lineup Monday against the Giants, Danielle Allentuck of The Denver Gazette reports.
Rodgers was removed from Sunday's win over the Cubs due to a hamstring injury, but the issue isn't believed to be significant. However, he'll be held out of the lineup for at least one game while Ryan McMahon starts at second base and leads off.

Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Still not starting
Hoerner (triceps) isn't starting Monday against the Marlins.
Hoerner continues to deal with a mild-to-moderate strain of his triceps and will be held out of the lineup for a seventh consecutive game. Christopher Morel is starting at shortstop and batting ninth.

Michael Stefanic 2B | ATH
Angels' Michael Stefanic: Sitting after three straight starts
Stefanic is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
He'll give way in the middle infield Monday to Livan Soto, who is being rewarded with a second straight start after going 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and an additional run in Sunday's 5-1. Stefanic had produced two hits in eight at-bats while starting in each of the previous three contests, and with David Fletcher (hand) recently joining Andrew Velazquez (knee) on the injured list, the rookie should have a fairly clear path to playing time over the final two and a half weeks of the season.

Owen Miller 2B | CHC
Guardians' Owen Miller: Sitting against righty again
Miller is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins, Joe Noga of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
The righty-hitting Miller will take a seat for the fourth time in six games, with each of his absences coming against right-handed starting pitchers. He looks as though he could begin to lose work versus righties to either Tyler Freeman or Will Benson.

Enrique Hernandez SS | LAD
Red Sox's Enrique Hernandez: Scores four runs
Hernandez went 2-for-3 with a double, four runs scored, one RBI and two walks in Sunday's 13-3 win over the Royals.
Hernandez scored a run in each of the second, third, sixth and eighth innings, marking the first time this season he's crossed home more than twice in one game. He's collected multiple hits in four of his last nine games, but he went 0-for-15 in the other five. The 31-year-old is now slashing .227/.294/.356 with 43 runs scored and 28 extra-base hits through 78 appearances.

Luis Rengifo 3B | MIL
Angels' Luis Rengifo: Another multi-homer game
Rengifo went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Mariners.
Rengifo hadn't posted a multi-homer game all year before Friday, and now he's produced two in his last three contests. He's gone 5-for-12 with four long balls and seven RBI in the first three games of this weekend series versus the Mariners, which concludes Monday. For the year, the versatile 25-year-old has racked up 15 homers, 47 RBI, 41 runs scored, six stolen bases and a .275/.307/.455 slash line through 111 contests. With David Fletcher (hand) and Andrew Velazquez (knee) out, Rengifo should have no trouble maintaining an everyday role the rest of the way.
