  • Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Injury not considered significant

Manager Bud Black said after Sunday's win over the Cubs that he doesn't think Rodgers' hamstring injury is significant, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Rodgers exited Sunday's matchup in the first inning after he appeared to suffer a hamstring injury while running to first base, but it doesn't seem as though the issue will force him to miss significant time. He should be considered day-to-day ahead of Monday's series opener against the Giants.

  • Gavin Lux SS | TB

Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Not in Sunday's lineup

Lux is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Lux returned to the lineup Saturday for the first time since Sept. 1 after a prolonged absence due to a back injury, and though he experienced no reported setbacks, he'll head back to the bench after he went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. Chris Taylor will shift to the keystone while Trayce Thompson starts in left field.

  • Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Exits with hamstring injury

Rodgers was removed in the first inning of Sunday's game against the Cubs due to left hamstring tightness, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Rodgers was lifted prior to the bottom of the inning after he appeared to injure his hamstring while running to first base on an RBI groundout in his lone plate appearance of the afternoon. He'll be listed as day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener with the Giants.

  • Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Lifted with possible leg injury

Rodgers was removed from Sunday's game against the Cubs in the first inning due to a possible leg injury, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Rodgers went 0-for-1 with an RBI in his lone plate appearance in the top half of the inning, but he appeared to tweak his leg while running to first base on a groundout. Elehuris Montero came off the bench to replace Rodgers in the Colorado infield for the bottom of the first inning. Expect the Rockies to provide an update on Rodgers' condition later Sunday.

  • Angels' Michael Stefanic: Garners third straight start

Stefanic will start at second base and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Mariners, Sarah Valenzuela of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The rookie finds himself in the lineup for a third straight contest and should have a fairly clear path to an everyday role in the middle infield after David Fletcher (hand) was placed on the injured list Saturday. Through his first 53 big-league plate appearances, Stefanic is hitting .191 with one extra-base hit (a double) and a 4:10 BB:K.

  • Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL

Giants' Thairo Estrada: Records 19th steal

Estrada went 1-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Dodgers.

Estrada singled, moved to second on an error, stole third and scored on a fielder's choice in the first inning. He was in the leadoff spot for just the second time this year, though he's hit everywhere but ninth at least once as one of the sturdiest Giants this season. He's hitting .280 with two home runs, three steals, four RBI and seven runs scored through 15 games in September, lifting his season slash line to .263/.321/.406 through 126 contests.

  • Alan Trejo SS | COL

Rockies' Alan Trejo: Takes seat Sunday

Trejo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.

Trejo started the past four games and will head to the bench after he went 3-for-12 with a home run, a double, three RBI and two runs during that stretch. Garrett Hampson will step in at shortstop and bat ninth Sunday.

  • Tony Kemp 2B | MIN

Athletics' Tony Kemp: Stellar day on bases Saturday

Kemp went 3-for-5 with a triple, two stolen bases and three runs in a win over the Astros on Saturday.

The veteran put together a textbook leadoff effort, serving as a constant thorn in the side of Astros pitching throughout the game. Kemp scored both the first and final runs of the game for Oakland, and he also crossed the plate on Seth Brown's critical three-run home run in the fifth inning that gave Oakland a 6-4 lead. The three runs pushed him to a new career high of 55, while the pair of key thefts boosted his total in that category to 10, also a new high-water mark. Kemp now has a trio of multi-hit efforts in his last seven games alone, a span during which he's posted a .346 average and a 1.164 OPS.

  • Jordan Diaz 3B | ATH

Athletics' Jordan Diaz: Hitting seventh in debut

Diaz is starting at first base and batting seventh in his big-league debut Sunday against the Astros.

Diaz will have the platoon advantage Sunday, but he'll also be facing Framber Valdez, who has been one of the most dominant starters in the league in the second half. Diaz, one of Oakland's best hitting prospects, figures to see time at first base, designated hitter, second base and third base while playing regularly over the rest of the season. He hit .326/.366/.515 with 19 home runs in 120 games between Double-A and Triple-A.

  • Michael Chavis 2B | CIN

Pirates' Michael Chavis: Heads to bench Sunday

Chavis is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

Chavis started the previous four contests and will take a seat after he went 4-for-14 with a double, four RBI and two runs in that span. Zack Collins is starting at first base and batting eighth Sunday.
