  • Rockies' Edouard Julien: On bench against lefty

Julien is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics. The left-handed-hitting Julien will retreat to the bench with southpaw Jeffrey Springs toeing the rubber for the Athletics. Julien has been included in the lineup for every matchup with a right-handed starter so far in June and is slashing .333/.419/.407 so far this month, but it's unclear if he'll be able to hold down a strong-side platoon role after Colorado reinstated Tyler Freeman (concussion) from the 7-day injured list Sunday.

  • Rockies' Edouard Julien: Knocks in three

Julien went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Cubs. Julien has been in the lineup for most matchups against righties across the last two weeks and in nine of Colorado's last 11 games overall. He's gone 8-for-26 with five RBI and six runs scored in that span. In Tuesday's win, Julien delivered an RBI double in the second inning and knocked in two with a single one frame later.

  • Rockies' Edouard Julien: Remaining on bench

Julien isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Arizona. Julien's recent 0-for-25 stretch at the plate will leave him out of the starting nine for a third consecutive game. His absence from the lineup will allow Chad Stevens to start at second base, batting eighth.

  • Rockies' Edouard Julien: Taking seat Friday

Julien isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against Arizona. Julien will miss out on the starting nine for a second consecutive game after going 0-for-25 with nine strikeouts across his last nine games. Willi Castro will draw the start at second base, and Sterlin Thompson will work as Colorado's designated hitter.

  • Rockies' Edouard Julien: Not in lineup versus southpaw

Julien is not in the starting lineup Thursday against the Diamondbacks. Julien will head to the bench as the Rockies get set to face left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez on the mound. Julien is in the middle of an 0-for-25 stretch at the plate over his last nine contests, so a night off will hopefully allow him to hit the reset button. Braxton Fulford will draw the start at designated hitter and bat seventh in the series opener versus Arizona.

  • Rockies' Edouard Julien: Moving to bench versus lefty

Julien is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies. With southpaw Cristopher Sanchez on the bump for Philadelphia, the Rockies will stock up on some extra right-handed bats while Julien joins fellow left-handed hitters TJ Rumfield, Troy Johnston and Brett Sullivan on the bench. Tyler Freeman will receive the nod at second base in place of Julien.

  • Rockies' Edouard Julien: Swats second homer

Julien went 3-for-4 with a walk, a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's 7-2 loss to the Reds. The former Twin accounted for all of the Rockies' offense in the loss, launching a solo shot in the second inning off Chase Burns before an RBI single in the fifth. Julien has hit safely in seven straight games while being used in a strict strong-side platoon role, batting a blistering .448 (13-for-29) over that stretch to boost his slash line on the season to .308/.393/.449 through 89 plate appearances with two homers, two steals, 12 RBI and 13 runs.

  • Rockies' Edouard Julien: Grabbing seat Friday

Julien is not in the lineup for Friday's contest versus the Mets. Julien went 7-for-23 with five RBI and four runs scored during the Rockies' recent six-game homestand, but he will get a breather Friday as the team begins a road trip. Tyler Freeman is handling second base and batting cleanup.

  • Rockies' Edouard Julien: Drives in three runs

Julien went 3-for-5 with a double, three RBI and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Dodgers. Julien had a standout day at the plate, recording his first three-hit, three-RBI effort of the campaign. Sunday snapped a cold spell, as the 26-year-old had been hitless over his previous six appearances. Julien has regularly operated as the Rockies' leadoff man against right-handed pitching in 2026, slashing .259/.355/.352 with one homer, two doubles, eight RBI, six runs and two stolen bases across 20 contests.

  • Rockies' Edouard Julien: Gaining traction atop lineup

Julien will start at second base and bat leadoff in Wednesday's game against the Astros. Julien will handle leadoff duties for a third straight contest and appears to have at least temporarily claimed a spot in the Rockies' starting nine against right-handed pitching while Jake McCarthy (.385 OPS) and Jordan Beck (.268 OPS) are struggling. With a .513 OPS in 20 plate appearances, Julien has been only marginally better, and he'll likely need to raise his production to ensure he sticks in the lineup on a long-term basis.

  • Rockies' Edouard Julien: Not in Tuesday's lineup

Julien is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays. Julien has gone 1-for-7 with a double and four strikeouts while starting three of Colorado's first four games of the season, and he'll hit the bench for Tuesday's contest. T.J. Rumfield will shift to designated hitter and Willi Castro to first base, opening up the keystone for Ryan Ritter.

  • Rockies' Edouard Julien: Starting at DH in opener

Julien will start at designated hitter and bat eighth in Friday's opener in Miami. The placement of Mickey Moniak (finger) on the 10-day injured list will free up some at-bats at DH and in the outfield for the Rockies. Julien will get the first crack at DH, though the spot is likely to be a revolving door. The 26-year-old was acquired from the Twins over the offseason.

  • Twins' Edouard Julien: On bench for third straight

Julien is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres. The Twins have now left Julien out of the lineup for three consecutive contests, which follows a stretch of four straight starts in which he went 2-for-13 with a double and three walks. Julien has produced a poor .545 OPS since getting called up from Triple-A St. Paul on Aug. 1 and may play second fiddle to Kody Clemens at first base in September.

  • Twins' Edouard Julien: Goes deep Thursday

Julien went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Thursday's 4-3 extra-innings loss to the Tigers. Julien has gone just 5-for-25 (.200) with a 2:8 BB:K over 10 games since rejoining the big-league roster following the trade deadline. This was his first multi-hit effort in that span, which has seen him fill a part-time role. He's seeing most of his time at first base but is sharing the position with Kody Clemens and Mickey Gasper. Julien will need to show more consistency to claim a larger share of playing time. On the year, he has a poor .198/.282/.328 slash line with three homers, nine RBI, nine runs scored and no stolen bases over 131 plate appearances.

  • Twins' Edouard Julien: Late addition to lineup

Julien will start at first base and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Tigers. The left-handed-hitting Julien had been slated to sit for the second day in a row against a right-handed starter (Jack Flaherty), but Julien will end up moving back into the starting nine after Trevor Larnach (shoulder) was scratched. Kody Clemens will head to the outfield to fill in for Larnach while Julien covers Clemens' usual post at first base.

  • Twins' Edouard Julien: Drawing fourth consecutive start

Julien will start at second base and bat ninth in Monday's game against the Tigers. Julien has started at the keystone in all four games for the Twins since he was called up from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday in the aftermath of the trade deadline. Though Julien should have a pathway to an everyday lineup spot the rest of the season if he can produce at the plate, he's mustered just one hit and one walk while striking out five times in nine at-bats through his first three contests following his promotion. Luke Keaschall (forearm) could be ready to return from the 60-day injured list by the end of the week and may push Julien for playing time at the keystone if the latter player isn't able to get going at the dish.

  • Twins' Edouard Julien: Summoned from Triple-A

The Twins recalled Julien from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, LaVelle E. Neal III of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports. With Luke Keaschall (forearm) staying in Triple-A for a longer rehab assignment, Julien may get steady time at second base and first base in the near term after the Twins shipped out nine players at the trade deadline. Julien had heated up at Triple-A after struggling in the majors this spring, as he was hitting .276/.415/.464 with 11 home runs in 70 games at St. Paul.

  • Twins' Edouard Julien: Taking seat Sunday

Julien is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox. Southpaw Garrett Crochet is taking the hill for Boston, so Julien will remain on the bench for a second straight game. Brooks Lee will cover second base while Julien sits.

  • Twins' Edouard Julien: Pops leadoff homer

Julien went 1-for-5 with a solo homer and a walk in Monday's 11-1 victory over the Guardians. The Minnesota second baseman hit the game's first pitch out of the park, launching it 403 feet to center off starter Gavin Williams. Julien has been hitting leadoff in a strong-side platoon lately and should get plenty of run while Luke Keaschall (forearm) is on the injured list. Across 92 plate appearances, Julien is slashing .213/.304/.350 with two homers, eight runs scored and eight RBI.

  • Twins' Edouard Julien: Getting run in leadoff spot

Julien will start at second base and bat leadoff in Tuesday's contest against the Mets. It marks the third straight game that Julien has batted leadoff and the eighth game in a row that he's been in the lineup. Previous leadoff man Matt Wallner is hitting third for the Twins on Tuesday.
