Tony Kemp 2B | MIN
Athletics' Tony Kemp: Remains on bench Sunday
Kemp (rib) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Kemp hasn't started since exiting Wednesday's 10-1 loss to the Dodgers with a rib contusion, but he made a cameo off the bench in Saturday's 2-1 win. He entered the game as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the eighth and drew a walk, then played left field for the final frame. The injury could be behind Kemp at this point, as his continued absence from the lineup may be a result of him losing his spot in the everyday outfield after Esteury Ruiz returned from the 10-day injured list Saturday.

Jordan Diaz 3B | ATH
Athletics' Jordan Diaz: Smacks eighth homer Saturday
Diaz went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a win over the Giants on Saturday.
Diaz's 402-foot shot to left center in the fifth inning opened the scoring on the day and marked his second time leaving the yard in the last four games. Diaz is showing an increased comfort level against big-league arms as the season enters its stretch run, as he's posted a .275 average, .845 OPS, 13.0 percent walk rate, four extra-base hits and five RBI over his last 13 games.

Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM
Twins' Jorge Polanco: Not starting Sunday
Polanco is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
Polanco has started all eight games since being reinstated from the injured list July 28, but he'll hit the bench Sunday after he posted a .172/.294/.310 slash line during that span. Willi Castro will man the hot corner and bat eighth in his place.

Luis Urias 2B | ATH
Red Sox's Luis Urias: Garners third straight start
Urias will start at second base and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Blue Jays, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.
He'll pick up a third straight start at the keystone after going 3-for-7 with a double, a walk, an RBI and a run in his first two games with Boston since being added to the 26-man active roster after he was acquired from the Brewers on Tuesday. Considering that the second-base spot has been a revolving door all season for Boston, manager Alex Cora may be content to give Urias a trial as the everyday option at the keystone, at least while Urias is putting together quality plate appearances.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Orioles' Adam Frazier: Sits against lefty
Frazier is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
Frazier will take a seat for the fifth time in six games, ceding second base to Jordan Westburg in the series finale. On four of the five occasions that Frazier has sat, the Orioles have faced left-handed starting pitchers, so Frazier may still have a hold on a strong-side platoon role at the keystone.

Vidal Brujan 2B | NYM
Rays' Vidal Brujan: Moves back to minors
The Rays optioned Brujan to Triple-A Durham on Sunday.
Brujan will head back to Triple-A to clear a spot on the 26-man active roster for lefty Jalen Beeks, who was recalled from Durham in a corresponding move to give the Rays a fresh arm out of the bullpen for Sunday's series finale with the Tigers. During his two-week stint with the Rays, Brujan appeared in five games and logged just three at-bats.

Davis Schneider 2B | TOR
Blue Jays' Davis Schneider: Three more hits Saturday
Schneider went 3-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Red Sox.
After homering Friday in his first big-league at-bat, Schneider made his second straight start at second base and was productive once again. Kevin Kiermaier has been on the bench for both those games, with Daulton Varsho shifting to center field and Whit Merrifield moving out to left, and if Schneider keeps raking, manager John Schneider (no relation) could have some tough lineup decisions to make.

Elvis Andrus 2B | ARI
White Sox's Elvis Andrus: Notches homer, two steals in win
Andrus went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double, two total runs and two stolen bases in a 7-4 victory against Cleveland on Saturday.
It was a big game for the veteran infielder, as he hit just his third homer of the campaign while swiping a pair of bags. Andrus finished with his second three-hit game of the season and snapped out of a six-game cold spell during which he went 1-for-13. The 34-year-old had already been seeing increased playing time since Jake Burger was traded at the deadline, and Andrus could be needed to fill in temporarily at shortstop if Tim Anderson, who exchanged punches in an on-field fight with Jose Ramirez on Saturday, is suspended as a result.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Stays hot with solo homer
Torres went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's victory over the Astros.
Torres got on base in two of his first three trips to the plate but was left stranded on both occasions. He then jumped on a hanging sinker to open the bottom of the eighth, sending it into the stands to put the Yankees up 3-1. The second baseman has now recorded multiple hits in three of his last four contests and is batting .500 through five games in August.

Josh Rojas 3B | CHW
Mariners' Josh Rojas: On bench again Saturday
Rojas is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Angels.
Rojas will sit in favor of Jose Caballero with a lefty (Tyler Anderson) on the mound for the opposition, just as he did Friday. It's looking a lot like a platoon at the keystone, with Rojas handling the strong-side role. Rojas is 0-for-6 in two games since coming over from Arizona at the trade deadline.
