Lopez entered Tuesday's game in the fourth inning as a replacement for the injured Josh Jung (calf), going 2-for-3 with an RBI in a 10-0 win over the White Sox.

Lopez, who's been the primary second baseman during the month of July, entered to play shortstop while Ezequiel Duran shifted to third base. Depending on how Jung responds, Lopez could continue to defend shortstop or move back to second base Wednesday. The Rangers' primary starter at short, Corey Seager (back), is progressing in his rehab but has only hit off a batting tee, which indicates it will be at least another week or so before he returns. Once Seager returns, it's expected that Duran and Lopez will share second base, while also serving in utility roles.

The Athletics placed Kuroda-Grauer on the 10-day injured list Tuesday following surgery for a ruptured testicle.

The A's haven't provided a timeline for Kuroda-Grauer's return, though he will likely remain on the shelf beyond the 10-day minimum. Max Muncy will come up from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move and could see time at third base while Kuroda-Grauer is out.

Palacios is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Palacios started the previous three contests and will receive a day off after going 2-for-10 with two walks, a double, a steal and one run during that span. Ben Williamson is picking up a start at the keystone Tuesday and is batting seventh against Toronto righty Kevin Gausman.

McNeil went 1-for-1 with two RBI and a stolen base in Monday's 5-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

McNeil hit for Alika Williams in the seventh inning and delivered a two-run single to restore the Athletics' lead. The veteran utility man has had to settle for a part-time role for much of the season. He's hitting .269 (7-for-26) over 11 contests in July. Overall, McNeil is batting .236 with a .610 OPS, three home runs, 30 RBI, 26 runs scored, 11 doubles and two steals over 88 contests.

Kuroda-Grauer was diagnosed with a testicular contusion after exiting Monday's 5-2 win over the Diamondbacks, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

The rookie went 2-for-3 with a base hit and a solo home run -- the first of his career -- before exiting the game prior to the bottom of the sixth inning with the injury. The Athletics haven't provided word on the severity of the injury, but he can be considered day-to-day heading into Tuesday's contest.

Kuroda-Grauer left Monday's game against the Diamondbacks due to an undisclosed injury, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Kuroda-Grauer appeared to be in some discomfort after fouling a ball off himself earlier in the game, and he was later removed in the bottom of the sixth inning. He can be considered day-to-day until the team has an update on the nature and severity of his injury.

Chisholm went 2-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in Monday's 8-5 win over the Pirates.

Chisholm's power at the plate has not been the same this season compared to previous years. However, he gave the Yankees an early 4-0 lead with a three-run homer off Braxton Ashcraft in the first inning before giving the Bronx Bombers the lead for good with a two-run blast in the third. It was the first multi-homer game of the season for Chisholm, which he did four times last year. He's up to a .726 OPS with 26 steals, 16 home runs and 43 RBI across 375 plate appearances this season.

Bazzana went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Cleveland's 13-4 win over Minnesota on Monday.

Bazzana was responsible for one of the Guardians' six home runs off Joe Ryan on Monday, with the latter's taking place in the third inning to extend Cleveland's lead to 6-2. Bazzana has gone yard in two of his last three games and is up to nine home runs on the season. He has a .756 OPS with 13 steals and 32 RBI across 300 plate appearances this season.

Kiner-Falefa (forearm) has been cleared to start his hitting progression with dry swings, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Healy relays that Kiner-Falefa is still "weeks away" from returning from the 10-day injured list, but the good news for the veteran infielder is that he has been given the green light to take the next step in his recovery program. He has not played since June 18 while recovering from a stress reaction in his left forearm.

Mayer (forearm) has been cleared to start his hitting progression with dry swings, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Healey notes that Mayer is "still weeks away" from returning to major-league action. However, it's a step in the right direction for Mayer, who has been sidelined by a stress reaction in his left forearm since June 25. The Red Sox should have a more clear idea of Mayer's return timeline once he's cleared to embark on a rehab assignment.
