  • White Sox's Chase Meidroth: Getting rest Saturday

Meidroth isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Tigers. The White Sox will give Meidroth a break Saturday after he went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts during a loss in Friday's series opener. Sam Antonacci will shift to second base, opening up left field for Randal Grichuk.

  • White Sox's Chase Meidroth: Extends hitting streak

Meidroth went 3-for-3 with a walk, two RBI and a run scored Friday against the Dodgers. Meidroth helped break the game open with a two-RBI single in the fifth inning, contributing to a seven-run rally for the White Sox in the frame. He extended his hitting streak to 12 games, with his perfect effort Friday marking his third multi-hit performance in that span. Meidroth has hit particularly well since mid-May, maintaining a .321 average with two homers, 13 RBI and 12 runs scored across 21 contests.

  • White Sox's Chase Meidroth: Crushes grand slam in win

Meidroth went 2-for-5 with a grand slam in Wednesday's 15-2 win versus the Twins. Meidroth expanded the White Sox's lead to 12 with his seventh-inning grand slam off Travis Adams. The 24-year-old has already matched his home-run total from last season (5) over 122 games through just 52 contests while also raising his OPS from last season's .649 to .739. It was also Meidroth's first career grand slam.

  • White Sox's Chase Meidroth: Smacks solo homer vs. San Francisco

Meidroth went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 8-5 loss to the Giants. Meidroth got the White Sox on the board early with a leadoff home run off Robbie Ray in the first inning, though the former failed to reach base safely in each of his next four plate appearances. It was Meidroth's fourth home run of the season, and over his last five games, he has gone 5-for-20 with one home run, three RBI and three runs scored.

  • White Sox's Chase Meidroth: Lifts third homer Tuesday

Meidroth went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Royals. Meidroth delivered the biggest swing of the night in the fifth inning, taking Stephen Kolek deep for a three-run homer that capped Chicago's five-run frame and gave the White Sox a lead. The blast was his third homer of the season as the infielder continues a strong stretch at the plate. Since the start of May, Meidroth is batting 13-for-39 (.333) with seven runs scored and a 10-game hitting streak. He's now slashing .277/.345/.399 with three homers, nine doubles, eight RBI and 26 runs scored across 167 plate appearances.

  • White Sox's Chase Meidroth: Belts second homer

Meidroth went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run in a loss to the Angels on Tuesday. Meidroth brought the White Sox to within a run with a seventh-inning solo shot, but that was the final tally by either team in the contest. The second-year infielder isn't known for his power, and Tuesday's long ball was just his second of the season. However, he's been pretty decent at getting on base, logging a .269/.342/.369 slash line along with 21 runs scored, five RBI and one stolen base through 34 games. Meidroth is working on a six-game hitting streak.

  • White Sox's Chase Meidroth: Strong hitting continues

Meidroth went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk Saturday against the Nationals. Meidroth tied the game at 2-2 with a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning, his first RBI since April 7. Despite the lack of production in that area, Meidroth has picked things up at the plate considerably in his last 10 games, going 14-for-38 (.368 average) with 10 runs scored and a stolen base. He's now hitting .266 on the season while maintaining a 101 wRC+.

  • White Sox's Chase Meidroth: Five-game hitting streak

Meidroth went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and a double Sunday against the Athletics. Meidroth had a concerning start to the season due to an elevated strikeout rate, though his performance has improved of late. He extended his hitting streak to five games Sunday, highlighted by a leadoff single in the first inning and a two-out double one frame later. In that five-game span, Meidroth has gone 8-for-20 with six runs scored and a stolen base.

  • White Sox's Chase Meidroth: Reaching base regularly

Meidroth has a .441 on-base percentage across 34 plate appearances in the Cactus League. Meidroth has primarily served as Chicago's leadoff hitter this spring, though he has also hit second on a few occasions. His skillset is similar to what he showed as a rookie in 2025, as he's striking out at just an 11.8 percent clip while walking slightly over 20 percent of the time. He should reach base consistently and score plenty of runs during the regular season due to his on-base ability and the improved lineup around him.

  • White Sox's Chase Meidroth: Racks up four hits in win

Meidroth went 4-for-5 with a double in Thursday's 11-8 win over the Twins. Meidroth missed time earlier in the week due to an ankle issue. He was hurt Monday and sat out Tuesday before returning Wednesday. The infielder has gone 18-for-62 (.290) over 17 games since returning from a thumb injury in mid-August. His big performance Thursday has him up to a .258/.334/.331 slash line with four home runs, 13 stolen bases, 21 RBI and 44 runs scored over 101 contests this season.

The White Sox activated Meidroth (thumb) from the 10-day injured list Friday. Meidroth missed the minimum amount of time on the injured list with his bruised thumb. In a corresponding move, the White Sox designated Jacob Amaya for assignment. Meidroth is slashing .252/.330/.319 with three home runs, 15 RBI, 36 runs scored, 11 stolen bases and a 33:47 BB:K across 349 plate appearances as a rookie this season.

  • White Sox's Chase Meidroth: Goes on IL with bruised thumb

The White Sox placed Meidroth on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a right thumb contusion. Meidroth hadn't made a start in more than a week as he battled the nagging thumb issue, and the White Sox have finally decided to make a roster move with the infielder. He will be eligible for activation Aug. 15 and should have a good chance to be ready on that date. Colson Montgomery has shifted over from third base to shortstop in Meidroth's absence and will continue to play the latter position while Meidroth is out. Brooks Baldwin is likely to pick up most of the starts at the hot corner as a result.

Meidroth (thumb) isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners. Meidroth will miss a fifth consecutive start after getting hit on his right thumb by a pitch last Wednesday, though the White Sox still don't seem to plan on putting him on the injured list. Lenyn Sosa will cover second base while Meidroth takes another day to recover.

  • White Sox's Chase Meidroth: Out again Tuesday

Meidroth (thumb) isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against Seattle. Despite entering Sunday's contest as a defensive replacement, Meidroth seemingly still isn't quite ready to return to the starting nine after taking a pitch off his thumb last week. Josh Rojas will pick up another start at second base as a result while Brooks Baldwin covers third.

Meidroth was removed from Wednesday's game against the Phillies after getting hit on his right thumb by a pitch. Meidroth ran for himself after taking a 90-mph sinker off his thumb in the fifth but was replaced on defense the following inning. X-rays on his thumb came back negative following his removal, and the White Sox are considering the young infielder day-to-day for now.

Meidroth went 1-for-5 with an RBI on Saturday against the Pirates. Meidroth ended June with a .352 on-base percentage and 10 stolen bases, but he's struggled since the calendar flipped to July. He has gone just 6-for-50 with four walks across 12 games this month, tallying two RBI, two runs scored and only one stolen base. The long ball was just the second of the season for the rookie infielder, but he's slashing a strong .300/.386/.373 through 42 games. Meidroth has also demonstrated elite plate discipline, as he has more walks (21) than strikeouts (20) on the campaign.

Meidroth went 2-for-2 with three walks and one RBI in Thursday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Tigers. He's opened June on a tear, going 10-for-17 with four multi-hit efforts in his first five games. While he's homered just once this season, the rookie is slashing an impressive .312/.401/.369 with eight RBI, 18 runs scored and eight steals across 162 plate appearances.
