Garcia went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and an additional RBI in Sunday's 8-5 loss to the Brewers.

After going 0-for-4 in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheder versus Milwaukee, Garcia got on track with three hits in the nightcap before delivering another multi-hit game Sunday. He launched his first home run of the season during the third inning to put Kansas City on the board. In addition to Sunday's long ball, Garcia has been productive as the Royals' leadoff man so far this season with two doubles, a .333/.425/.485 slash line and 6:5 BB:K in 40 plate appearances.

Megill picked up the save in Sunday's 8-5 victory over the Royals. He allowed one hit and no walks with no strikeouts in a scoreless ninth inning.

The right-hander was handed a three-run cushion and worked around a two-out single by Bobby Witt to lock down his third save in as many tries this season. Megill gave up a run and took a loss against Tampa Bay on March 30, but he's otherwise been unscored upon in his other three appearances. Overall he has a 2.25 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 5:3 K:BB through four frames in 2026.

Harrison (1-0) earned the win Sunday versus the Royals, giving up two runs on three hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out six.

Maikel Garcia's two-run homer during the third inning was all the damage Kansas City could muster against Harrison, who threw 55 of 90 pitches for strikes while generating 25 called-or-swinging strikes. The left-hander has yet to make it through six frames in his first two outings of the season, but it's otherwise been a strong start to the campaign with three runs allowed and a 14:3 K:BB in 10.1 innings.

Taylor will open Monday's game against the Orioles, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.

This will be Taylor's third game as an opener out of five total appearances this season. Thus far, he has been perfect with two strikeouts in two innings as an opener after giving up one run while issuing two walks in two innings as a traditional reliever. Taylor will potentially be stretched out as a starter in 2027, and he has much more history working as a starter, so he may be most comfortable in this opener role. The White Sox may continue to use Taylor in this role as long as things are going well, which limits his fantasy utility in roto leagues, as he can't qualify for wins or saves in the opening role.

Bubic (1-1) took the loss Sunday, allowing four runs on four hits and three walks over five innings against the Brewers. He struck out eight.

The left-hander induced 18 whiffs on 96 pitches (58 strikes) on the way to eight strikeouts, but all four of the hits he gave up went for extra bases. Bubic also issued three walks for a second straight start to begin the season. The 29-year-old has a 4.09 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 12:6 K:BB across 11 innings and lines up to face the White Sox at home next weekend.

Machado went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and an additional run scored in Sunday's 8-6 win over the Red Sox.

Machado gave San Diego its first lead of the day in the fifth inning with his two-out blast off Greg Weissert that put the Padres ahead 6-4. It's the first homer and RBI of the season for Machado, who'd gone just 2-for-17 in six games prior to Sunday. The third baseman is now slashing .222/.417/.407 through nine games this year.

Yates (knee) is scheduled to face hitters Tuesday as he works through mechanical adjustments ahead of his return, Doug Padilla of The Orange County Register reports.

"I think it's more of a feeling for me, knowing how the ball is supposed to come out of my hand," Yates said. "I don't think we're a crazy way away (from a return), or anything like that. It's just how quickly you can get to where you're comfortable going back out there and getting big outs for your team." It sounds like Yates and the Angels will have a better idea of how close he is after Tuesday's session. In Yates' absence, Jordan Romano has excelled as the closer, while Chase Silseth has been strong in a setup role for the Angels.

Suarez (0-1) didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Padres, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out two.

Suarez started the day well, holding San Diego scoreless through his first three innings. However, things began to unravel in the fourth, when the left-hander was tagged for three runs. Suarez then gave up a leadoff single in the fifth, eventually resulting in a fourth run, before departing. Suarez's Red Sox tenure has gotten off to a rocky beginning -- he's now given up eight runs on 13 hits across 8.1 innings in his first two starts. Suarez will look to turn things around in his next start, currently slated for next weekend in St. Louis.

Buehler (0-1) didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Red Sox, allowing four runs on three hits and three walks across 2.2 innings. He struck out four.

Buehler held his former team scoreless through his first two innings before unraveling in the third, where he'd ultimately allow four runs after leading off the frame with back-to-back walks. It's been a tough start to the year for Buehler, who's allowed seven runs across 6.2 innings in his first two starts. He'll look to get on track in his next outing, tentatively scheduled for next week at home against the Rockies.

Miller recorded the save in Sunday's 8-6 win over the Red Sox, striking out the side in a perfect ninth inning.

Miller has saves in back-to-back games while striking out all six batters he's faced in that span. The right-hander needed just 12 pitches to set down the Red Sox in Sunday's win after throwing 11 pitches Saturday. Miller is up to four saves, tied for the league lead in the early going. He's allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out 11 in 4.1 scoreless innings.
