Manager Don Kelly said that Skenes won't start Sunday's game against the Red Sox as planned and will instead make his next start Wednesday versus the Tigers at PNC Park, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Kelly indicated that no injury was behind the decision to push Skenes off Sunday's start, as the Pirates simply wanted to build in more rest for their ace in advance of his next appearance. The Pirates will turn to reliever Lake Bachar to make a spot start Sunday in place of Skenes, who will get some extra time off after submitting a 6.52 ERA and 1.60 WHIP over his last four outings. Skenes threw just 65 pitches over five innings in his most recent start Tuesday in Miami and averaged 95.7 mph with his fastball, which was down a tick from his season-long average.

Prielipp (3-6) took the loss against the Phillies on Saturday, allowing eight runs on eight hits and four walks in five innings. He struck out six.

It was a season-worst outing by Prielipp, who surrendered seven of his season-high eight runs in a disastrous fifth inning. The left-hander has delivered mixed results at best lately, fanning at least five while tossing at least five innings in five consecutive starts but giving up fewer than three runs just once during that span. Prielipp will bring a 5.34 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 94:36 K:BB over 87.2 innings into his next scheduled appearance in San Diego.

Alonso went 3-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Rays.

Alonso gave the Orioles the lead with a solo blast in the fifth inning, and he's now recorded multiple hits in five of his past six contests. It's been a stellar August for the 31-year-old, who owns a 1.059 OPS with four homers and nine RBI over 13 games this month. On the year, he's slashing .264/.356/.487 with 27 long balls, 78 RBI, 75 runs scored and five steals across 534 plate appearances.

Seymour did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Orioles, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk with nine strikeouts over six innings.

Seymour yielded two homers but was otherwise impressive, throwing 69 of 93 pitches for strikes with 16 whiffs. The 27-year-old has now logged three straight quality starts to open August, tallying 25 punchouts during that stretch. He'll take a 4.11 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 115:31 K:BB across 96.1 innings this season into a home matchup with Toronto next week.

Marsee went 4-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Reds.

Marsee banged out a season-high four hits Saturday, recording his third career four-hit attack in the process. While the outfielder has been rather disappointing at the dish following a torrid finish to 2025, he's batting .342 with the aforementioned homer, a double, a triple and four walks over 38 at-bats in August. Through 471 plate appearances in 2026, Marsee is slashing a weak .212/.326/.320 with seven long balls, 29 RBI, 19 stolen bases and 60 runs scored.

Bradish did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Rays, allowing two runs on seven hits and four walks with three strikeouts over six innings.

Bradish threw just 52 of 93 pitches for strikes and allowed plenty of traffic on the basepaths, but he battled through six frames and departed in line for a victory his bullpen couldn't secure. The 29-year-old has now delivered three quality starts in five outings since the All-Star break, with one of those appearances shortened by a rain delay. He'll carry a 3.65 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 124:58 K:BB across 133 innings this season into a home matchup with the Yankees next week.

Gusto took a no-decision against the Reds on Saturday, allowing four runs (two earned) on six hits and no walks in 4.2 innings. He struck out six.

A fielding error in right field by Esteury Ruiz kept both of Cincinnati's third-inning runs off Gusto's line, but the hurler later served up a pair of solo home runs in the fifth. The six strikeouts tied a season high for Gusto, but he's been taken yard at least once in each of his past four starts. The right-hander, who sits with a shaky 4.70 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 49:14 K:BB over 53.2 innings, has limited streaming appeal in his next scheduled outing against an upstart Nationals lineup.

Kittredge (2-3) blew a save but earned the win in Saturday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Rays.

Kittredge was called on to protect a one-run lead in the ninth inning but allowed three straight hits with two outs to blow the save. However, he was credited with the win after the Orioles came through in the 10th. It ends a run of five straight appearances without allowing an earned run for the veteran, who owns six saves and eight holds to go along with a 3.62 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 31:10 K:BB across 37.1 innings this season.

Singer took a no-decision against the Marlins on Saturday, allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out four.

Singer put forth a decent effort Saturday, turning in his third consecutive quality start. The right-hander has been pretty reliable for the Reds and fantasy managers since the beginning of June, working to a 3.62 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 68:26 K:BB over his last 13 outings (74.2 innings). Singer will look to further improve his 4.66 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 104:42 K:BB across 125.2 frames for the season in his next scheduled appearance against the Cardinals.

House went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Mets.

House came up clutch, launching a three-run blast to give the Nationals a 4-2 lead in the sixth inning. The 23-year-old has now hit safely in five straight games, posting a .761 OPS over 18 games since rejoining the Nationals on July 26. On the year, he's slashing .242/.295/.408 with nine homers, 31 RBI, 31 runs scored and two steals across 241 plate appearances.
