Pete Alonso 1B | BAL
Orioles' Pete Alonso: Included in Baltimore lineup Monday
Alonso (head) will start at first base and bat second in Monday's game versus the Rockies.
Alonso was removed for a pinch runner Sunday against the Athletics after being struck on the bill of his helmet by a pitch. He never experienced concussion symptoms, however, and is ready to roll a day later. Alonso is sporting a 1.050 OPS with nine home runs in August.

Samuel Basallo C | BAL
Orioles' Samuel Basallo: Back in lineup Monday
Basallo (hand) will start at catcher and bat sixth in Monday's game against the Rockies.
Basallo sat out Sunday's 8-5 win over the Athletics due to a right hand injury, but the issue appears to have resolved itself after a day off. He'll step back in behind the plate for the series opener in Colorado while Carlos Narvaez retreats to the bench.

Dustin Harris LF | SD
Padres' Dustin Harris: Playing regularly against righties
Harris will start in left field and bat seventh in Monday's game against the Reds.
Since being called up from Triple-A El Paso on Aug. 24, the left-handed-hitting Harris has been included in the lineup for five of the Padres' six matchups with righties. He's gone 6-for-12 with a double, a stolen base and three runs following his call-up and should hold down the strong side of a platoon in the corner outfield while he's swinging a hot bat.

Pedro Ramirez 2B | CHC
Cubs' Pedro Ramirez: Exiting starting nine Monday
Ramirez is out of the lineup for Monday's matchup with the Brewers.
Ramirez will get the night off after he had started in each of the last 14 contests. Matt Shaw will fill in for Ramirez at second base and will bat ninth.
-
Ian Happ LF | CHC
Cubs' Ian Happ: On bench Monday
Happ is absent from the lineup for Monday's game against Milwaukee.
Happ is batting just .157 with a 35.1 percent strikeout rate against left-handed pitchers this season, so the Cubs will keep him on the bench while southpaw Kyle Harrison takes the hill for the Brewers. He'll cede left field to Tyrone Taylor, who will bat out of the cleanup spot.

Joe Jimenez RP | ATL
Braves' Joe Jimenez: Progressing, but iffy to pitch in 2026
Atlanta manager Walt Weiss said Monday that Jimenez (knee) has been responding well after bullpen sessions the past few weeks, but the skipper acknowledged that a return from the 60-day injured list this season would still be a "giant leap," Grant McAuley of the Marietta Daily Journal reports.
On the mend after undergoing a third surgery on his left knee in the spring, Jimenez is making good progress in his recovery. Per Chad Bishop of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the right-hander threw a 20-pitch side session at Truist Park and took part in pitcher's fielding practice Monday. It's unlikely the 31-year-old will have enough time to check all of the boxes needed to return before the end of the regular season, however. Jimenez hasn't pitched in a game since October 2024.
