Pete Alonso 1B | BAL
Mets' Pete Alonso: Drills walk-off shot
Alonso went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer and a walk in Sunday's extra-inning win over Texas.
Alonso was 0-for-3 with a walk before delivering a walk-off, three-run shot in the 10th inning. It was his 34th long ball of the year and snapped a 10-game homerless drought. He posted a .604 OPS despite three multi-hit performances during that 10-game span. Alonso is now slashing .266/.342/.510 with 72 extra-base hits and 117 RBI through 657 plate appearances.

James McCann C | ARI
Diamondbacks' James McCann: Goes yard in victory
McCann went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in Sunday's 6-4 victory at Minnesota.
The veteran backstop gave his team a 4-2 lead with a 407-foot, three-run blast off Twins starter Bailey Ober in the fourth. McCann is playing sparingly in a backup role with the Diamondbacks, slashing .258/.330/.423 with four homers, 15 runs scored and 13 RBI across 109 plate appearances this season. Unless anything happens to Adrian Del Castillo or Gabriel Moreno, the 35-year-old is not fantasy relevant.

Kyle Backhus RP | PHI
Diamondbacks' Kyle Backhus: Converts second save
Backhus pitched a scoreless third of an inning, conceding a walk and a hit-by-pitch before collecting the save in Sunday's 6-4 victory over Minnesota.
Backhus entered in relief of Ryan Thompson to face the left-handed Kody Clemens with two outs and a runner on. The Arizona southpaw then walked Clemens and hit Luke Keaschall with a pitch to load the bases. Backhus finally completed his task by inducing a Matt Wallner flyout on his 13th pitch. The 27-year-old has pitched to a 4.62 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 22:8 K:BB across 25.1 total frames this season. Even with the Diamondbacks bullpen being a mess, Backhus is likely to remain in a middle-relief role.

Kodai Senga SP | NYM
Mets' Kodai Senga: Slated for another Triple-A start
Senga is expected to make another start at Triple-A Syracuse during the upcoming week, Will Sammon and Tim Britton of The Athletic report.
After accepting a demotion to the minors Sept. 5 following a string of poor outings, Senga shined in his first start with Syracuse this past Friday, striking out eight batters over six innings while allowing one earned run on three hits and no walks. Unless the Mets place a player on a reserve list and recall Senga in a corresponding move, however, the right-hander won't be eligible to join the big club until Sept. 20. With that in mind, he'll stick around at Triple-A and will presumably stay on his typical five days' rest schedule to make his next start Thursday. If all goes well in that outing, Senga will likely rejoin the Mets for the final week of the regular season, but his exact role remains in flux. The Mets are already planning on using Sean Manaea in a piggyback role behind starter Clay Holmes on Tuesday against the Padres as the team transitions from a six-man rotation to a five-man setup during the upcoming week, and Senga could be deployed in a similar capacity as Manaea upon his return to the big club. Rookie Jonah Tong has struggled with both his command and control in his last two starts and may benefit from being used in a tandem when Senga is recalled, if Senga doesn't replace Tong in the rotation outright.

Nabil Crismatt RP | TEX
Diamondbacks' Nabil Crismatt: Picks up third win
Crismatt collected the win in Sunday's 6-4 victory at Minnesota, allowing two runs (both unearned) on three hits and no walks over five innings. He struck out four.
The Colombian righty generated a solid 12 whiffs out of his 83 total pitches, as he lowered his ERA from 3.24 to 2.70 with this appearance. Both unearned runs scored in the second when the Arizona defense produced two errors in a sloppy inning. In 30 total innings, Crismatt has been a surprisingly solid arm, pitching to a 3.85 FIP, 1.27 WHIP and 21:7 K:BB, providing great production for a depleted Diamondbacks staff. He currently projects to make his next start at home against the Phillies next weekend if he sticks in the rotation.

Adam Mazur P | MIA
Marlins' Adam Mazur: Handed tough-luck loss
Mazur (0-4) allowed two unearned runs on one hit and two walks over six innings Sunday, striking out four and taking a loss against Detroit.
Mazur coughed up a pair of runs in the second inning due to two errors by his defense. He then retired 13 of the last 14 batters he faced to deliver his first quality start of the year. He had given up at least four runs in three of his last four starts, but he dropped his season ERA from 6.30 to 4.85 after Sunday's performance. Mazur has posted a 17:10 K:BB through 26 innings and has yet to strike out more than five batters in an outing. He's currently lined up for a road matchup with the Rangers next weekend.

Jose Fermin LF | STL
Cardinals' Jose Fermin: Swipes base in win
Fermin went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and one RBI in Sunday's 3-2 win versus the Brewers.
The St. Louis infielder tallied his second steal of the season, taking second off Milwaukee starter Jose Quintana in the second inning. Fermin was subsequently caught stealing when trying to nab home later in the frame. Fermin, who is now slashing .298/.389/.404 in 55 total plate appearances, is in a bench role currently for the Cardinals. He could become an intriguing fantasy option for batting average and speed since he hit .305 with 20 steals in 289 Triple-A plate appearances this season.

Riley O'Brien RP | STL
Cardinals' Riley O'Brien: Secures fourth save
O'Brien picked up the save in Sunday's 3-1 win at Milwaukee, allowing one walk and no hits over a scoreless inning with two strikeouts.
The 30-year-old worked around a two-out walk to collect his second save of the month. O'Brien, who fired 10 of his 16 total pitches for strikes, got the ninth after JoJo Romero pitched a scoreless frame in the eighth against the heart of the Brewers lineup. Although Romero is likely to draw the majority of save opportunities, St. Louis manager Oliver Marmol has shown no hesitation in employing O'Brien when the situation arises. The righty reliever now sports a 2.13 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 40:20 K:BB in 42.1 total innings.

Mickey Moniak LF | COL
Rockies' Mickey Moniak: Starring role in loss
Moniak went 4-for-4 with two home runs, five RBI and two stolen bases in Sunday's 9-6 loss to the Padres.
Despite the poor result for the Rockies, Moniak had one of his best games of the year. The outfielder lifted a solo shot in the fourth inning and a three-run blast in the sixth before adding an RBI single in the seventh. Moniak has gone 13-for-41 (.317) with three homers and three steals over 13 games in September. The 27-year-old is at a .268/.306/.509 slash line with 21 long balls, 62 RBI, 56 runs scored and nine steals over 126 games this year, with all of those counting stats representing career highs.

German Marquez SP | SD
Rockies' German Marquez: Chased early Sunday
Marquez (3-14) allowed seven runs (six earned) on nine hits and two walks while failing to record a strikeout over 2.1 innings, taking the loss Sunday versus the Padres.
Marquez's last two starts have come on the road, but he's allowed a combined 12 runs (11 earned) over 7.1 innings in those games. The right-hander gave up three runs in each of the first two frames and continued to labor before Roansy Contreras relieved him in the third. On the year, Marquez has an awful 6.65 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 77:44 K:BB through 115 innings over 24 starts. He's tentatively projected for a home start versus the Angels in his next outing.
